Conor Posted October 5, 2021 Share Posted October 5, 2021 Developers of Life is Strange: True Colors Deck Nine have patched in a new performance mode to the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles that ups the frame rate to target 60 frames-per-second, a feature that was conspicuously absent in the initial release. https://www.gamesradar.com/life-is-strange-true-colors-gets-60fps-mode-on-ps5-and-xbox-series-x/ While this is too late for those that went straight into the game on new consoles, it is great for those like me who only played the PS4 version or those who have yet to play it at all. Give the upgrades to the engine I wasn't surprised that the game was maxed at 30fps on previous-gen consoles but I was disappointed that the PS5 version was also locked as I think 60fps should really be standard at this point.
