MandA60VISE
One of my most favorite albums, We Will Always Love You by The Avalanches, is about to turn 1 years old in December. The album uses outer space as one of its recurring themes throughout. To commemorate such a stellar album I wanted to stack as many space themed/named games consecutively as possible. So far I have: The Turing Test Deliver Us the Moon Planet of the Eyes A Hat in Time (very loosely based on space since Hat Kid has a space ship) Zone of the Enders 2 Outer Wilds Risk of Rain 2 (will also be platinum milestone #225) Hyper Sentinel Dead Space Jupiter and Mars (literally here for namesake alone. I know it's a dolphin swimming game) Space Channel 5 VR Citizens Unite: Earth x Space Star Ocean: First Departure R Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime Alien: Isolation Holy Potatoes! We're in Space?! Space Otter Charlie Infinifactory Katamari Damacy Reroll Here's some games I've already completed unfortunately so they can't join the club: Cosmic Star Heroine Galaga Risk of Rain 1 Zone of the Enders 1 Astro Bot Rescue Mission (don't have a PS5 so I can't do that one either) Rogue Galaxy Katamari Forever I also have no interest in games like Mass Effect, The Outer Worlds, or Destiny. I'm also not going to play other Dead Space or Star Ocean games at the moment for various reasons. Other recommendations? EverythingOnFire
Underrated gem that I really love. It's pretty slow and basic, but it's got an interesting premise & story. A fairly easy platinum too by the looks of it (I played it on PC).
TheArcadeKid
ADR1FT is about as spaced-out as they come. It's essentially a walking (floating?) simulator - and not necessarily the best of them - but the setting is frequently breathtaking. It takes place on and outside a damaged space station above Earth.
whassupbun
Rebel Galaxy and Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. Great space ship combat games, you can be a space pirate, a mercenary, or a merchant. Killer soundtrack too.
danceswithsloths
Prey. After playing it, it became one of my favorite sci fi games I have ever played. Edited October 8, 2021 by danceswithsloths

da-Noob123
Hmm. I'm more a fantasy guy than science fiction but I got some recommendations you haven't already mentioned. Prey, it was made by Arkane IIRC, the folks who did Dishonored. It's got some cool powers and an awesome GLOO gun that is so versatile. Takes place in a space station orbiting Earth, where Telstar - the company your work for does experiments. Observation has no platinum trophy but it was an interesting game. You play an AI on a space station and something has happened. There is one human you work with to try and figure out what happened. I don't want to spoil it so I will leave it at that. reaperveteran86
- 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim: My number one recommendation. I can´t say anything about this game without spoiling things (even the recommendation in a list of space themed games can be considered a spoiler), but the game is one of the best PS4 games in my opinion and deserved to be played by as much people as possible. - Astebreed - Assault Gunners - Elea - Valfaris - Konami Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection - Journey to the Savage Planet - Planet Alpha - Tons of Shoot ém Ups from the Arcade Archives series (for example: Zed Blade, Pulstar) - Red Faction 1/Guerilla - Mothergunship - The Long Journey Home - R-Type Final 2 - Her Majesty´s Spiffing
EcoShifter
A lot of good ones I would have said were either listed (Prey) or are already owned (Alien Isolation). That leaves an eligible title, one probably no-one else will say. Sonic Colors: Ultimate (preferably on Xbox Series X, with Switch being the dead last option). Normally wouldn't recommend a Sonic game to a non-fan of the series or one with little context of the series after the genesis era titles, in general, but as an outer-space-themed experience this game is a must-have. The environments, backgrounds, level design, and music are all memorable and high quality. Edited October 10, 2021 by EcoShifter

If you want a great space simulator with great physics and tons of logistical planning this is the one for you. Just expect a decent, albeit not too annoying grind for better ships.
