This actually looks pretty interesting.  Knowing absolutely nothing about the game, the trophy list looks like a pretty standard "Do everything" list.  May have to add this to my watch list.

I'll probably wait for some reviews and/or some real gameplay videos, but this one looks intriguing to me as well.

I started playing this morning, and have put about 7 hours into it today. I don't see this being a difficult platinum. After 7 hours, I've charted 13,783 tiles of the over 88,000 in the game, and I'm on floor 22 of 99. It is a ton of fun and one of the more addicting games I've played.

A few things to note:

- there is no story, it is just walk around, unlock tiles, and fight monsters

- if you die you start over at the beginning (so don't die)

- some of the games puzzles are hard (at least for me) but the rewards are almost always worth it!

The backup / cloud save trick works for this game, so that will help.  If you have PS Plus, remember to turn auto-uploads off for the game so your backup doesn't get overwritten. Then just Quit and save regularly, and if things go bad just download your backup save.

Haven't needed it yet (floor 25), but there were a couple close calls where I escaped from a battle with 1 party member still alive. So that prompted me to see if the backup trick would work. Sent one poor guy down to floor 2 with no equipment, saved right before a fight and uploaded it, then let him die. Downloaded the cloud save and was back to just before the fight.

Is any of the trophies missable?

No. The platinum is mostly just 100%ing the floors as doing so will make you come across the tiles that give you the enemy profiles and abilities. The only thing you need to hunt down is the wanderers which you can start doing once you get to floor 17 or 18 where the ability to do so is. Wanderers thankfully are on floors that match their level or 1 level above/below so finding them isn't too bad.

One thing to be careful with though is that you need to make sure you click the white tiles that give you profiles and abilities. If you don't and go over the tile then finding them is going to be a big pain as currently there is exists no info listing the locations of all the abilities/profiles (this may change in future, I imagine certainly for the abilities). Most profiles are in areas the monster is encountered/bit before, but not all. The Japanese player that is 1 trophy away from the platinum on the site likely had this happen to them where they went over the tile of an ability but didn't get it so they now have to scour the floors to find it.

Have anyone met some "invisible" enemies?

When the fight starts, apparently there are no enemies, but when you press any button, a message appears saying that the enemy has vanished, and the fight ends.

It commonly happens with FC tiles which is a fight with a treasure hunter (avoid unless you're powerful as they can steal your cash and you need to be able to beat them in 2-3 attacks) but can happen rarely sometimes with standard enemies.

On floor 25, is there any hidden tiles besides (Y39 to Y41) X65? (shown on the image)

https://ibb.co/cvRyW4y

I am missing one tile in this floor, and can't find it

Light hint: It's on the left side of the floor.

Spoiler, exact tile location:

Spoiler

Y 50, X 14.

I made a point of writing that down since I had to go over the whole floor like 3 times before I found it. You get an ability that helps find missing tiles soon after.

Thanks a lot! And it's good to know that there's an ability to find hidden tiles 😅

Another reason to avoid the FC treasure hunter fights unless you're powerful is they can steal you into oblivion.  I had around 2500 gold and he stole 10k from me twice.  I figured I'd be at zero but, instead, I was at negative 17500.  Hopefully, this is something that can be patched out but I decided I'd rather restart than deal with that ridiculous negative (I'd only managed to beat floor 13 so I wasn't too far and was not earning enough money to be worth it).

Thankfully, if your academy doesn't have anyone left you can restart but keep your earned levels so I just abandoned my party all over floor zero so I lost my items and map progress but kept my exp.

I was -200k gold and got them back in a few fights around floor 80, ended with over 3 million gold unused when I got pacifist ability (can walk over enemies) and stopped fighting.

Got a platinum in 40 hours, but I cleared every map as I went deeper, and it took much longer time because I was without good exploration abilities yet. In the end all these battles and treasure map hunts were optional because only 1 fight (technically only 1 attack) is required for platinum, there are seven trophies related to doing some damage with 1 attack, and address blade does over 1 million closer to south east corner (its damage calculated by map address). It requires 100 PP to be equiped, but you'll resque plenty of high leveled characters on the way.

So a platinum in doable in 10-15 hours or less with more optimal route.

Any advice? I'm about to start it up and don't want to do anything that will make the platinum harder down the road. Or, does it just come pretty easily through normal play?

Its not hard if you play normally, but you can not lose a battle because in some cases your team will be scattered across all 100 floors and you'll have to find them with remaining low level characters, and if they die too its game over. Do not step on traps (potential party breaker), just leave a floor and reenter it if you need to map this tile, traps will change location. Back up save every hour. The game autosaves when you enter and exit the battle so you can quickly quit and reload if you think you'll die. Withdrawal may take a few reloads as the chance is low against higher level enemies, but you can always see whom you'll fight because their black numbers. So if all enemies on the map are something like 20, don't fight DE because you'll have no chances without instakill staff.

Always have the best single target, fixed damage bow and sword available, and 1-2 characters should have only the bow equipped, because enemies with 1HP die instantly from barehanded attack. I didn't used any magic all game and my accessories were pure damage boost. My team was always in red when I got an ability that doubles damage at critical health (but beware samurais who do true damage ignoring defences), then always full HP when got an ability that doubles damage in this state. When an enemy refuces your defence to zero, stop attacking and restore your defence first, then continue, unless you can finish him off before his turn.

There is a shortcut every floor ending with 9, return to base and upgrade your gear, shops are updated regularly.

The platinum does come through normal play yes. If you want to know how to platinum as quick and easy as possible then you should have a look at my guide that went up just now.

https://psnprofiles.com/guide/13092-dungeon-encounters-trophy-guide

Up to you if you want to do what is written in it though as you'll basically be only map painting due to the final boss being the only needed fight in the game for the platinum. You're looking at around double the listed time in normal play.

Took me 28 hours. Did up to... floor 40 normally and then used Greater Descension to fetch myself the higher level characters including the one gotten from beating the final boss, then went back to 40 and continued with that party which heavily reduced the challenge of the game. I agree with you on 15 hours certainly being possible with an optimal route and is what I estimated for the guide.

It blows my mind that you can plat the whole thing and only need to fight once to do it... and that you can even do that fight at all on level one! One of the strangest, most interesting titles SE's put out in a very long time, I'll grab on discount someday.

To be clear LV1 characters can't beat the final boss as they have nowhere near the PP needed for one of them to equip the Address Blade. You can however recruit characters at higher levels who can equip it and thus you can beat the game without having to do any other fights. Beyond the Address blade the reason this is possible is because the game has a system where your HP to be targeted either your Physical or Magic defence needs to be destroyed first no matter if it is 1 or 10000 (damage doesn't "break through" and hit your HP). A few enemies in the game can bypass these defences to target your HP directly but the final boss isn't one of them.

It is an interesting title though yes. The battle system is mechanically strong and makes for interesting fights. Of course if platinuming the game as fast as possible then you don't use it outside the singular fight.
