Vaas's Insanity

Judging by the trophies, this dlc sounds awfully like Prey: Mooncrash.

Which is great, except most previous Far Cry DLCs were trash.

I'm cautiously excited

Agreed, except that I thought Far Cry 5 was actually a rare exception to this rule. It actually had some really unique and unexpected scenarios like the Vietnam level which was really cool, and Mars, which came with some awesome rewards. Those guns were pretty much essential for the Infamous trophy.

Idk much about Far Cry 6’s DLCs, but it sounded like they might be a step back unfortunately. When I saw they were featuring villains from previous games I thought you’d actually get to go back to those locations like the Rook Islands, Kyrat etc. and get some additional backstory on those characters which sounded awesome. But it seems like it’s instead going to be one of those cheesy gimmicks where you physically explore some representation of the characters inner-psyche. Those really stale and overused Ubisoft hallucination/drug/dream sequences immediately come to mind…

Hopefully I’m totally wrong and they end up being kick ass DLCs. I haven’t really been following the developments very closely tbh so there’s a chance I’m just talking out my ass here. But I’m preparing for the possibility they end up being as lame as they sound on paper lol.

For what it's worth, I'm halfway through with it and it already beats every Far Cry 5 DLC in my book and I found those to be enjoyable as well, especially Lost on Mars DLC.  Vaas is just... Vaas.

Great to hear people are enjoying it. I’m still not totally sold on the whole surreal, dreamlike environment, as I just feel it’s so overdone at this point in Ubisoft’s games. But Vaas is my favourite Far Cry villain by far so I sure hope they did him justice. The reviews so far seem to be quite positive!

Can this DLC be played in Co-op? I'm skeptical about Mind Level 5.

I wouldn't know, I'm going solo through Mind Level 5 at the moment and it doesn't feel difficult at all. Worst case scenario you can tone it down to story mode and it becomes even easier. I guess co-op would make it more fun though considering it's essentially a 2nd playthrough speedrun (just the 3 main objectives, no side quests) on a slightly harder difficulty. Best of luck.

PowerPyx just came out with a roadmap for the DLC, entire thing is a 2.5/10. So fortunately, not too bad, despite the whole “die and try again” promos.

It’s even easier when you max out an AR with great rolls on it.

Currently I’m running one with chance on healing when doing damage. As there’s no autohealing this really is great.

Season Pass makes it free on the store, need to grab that first before it works, it's just a 2.6mb unlock file.

Aha I see! I thought that since I already got the season pass I can get the DLC directly from the main menu 👀 so Thanks a bunch for the info! 🙌

Any trophies autopop when transferring save between versions?

Only the trophy for unlocking all locations. Autopop upon starting up on another platform using the cloud save function. Trophy for having 8000 cash popped when I’m at 9000 on my second playthrough.

Same case as of base game, if you have completed most of the trophies & uploaded the sava to cloud storage — collectible trophies, have all weapons trophy, upgrading all weapon cases trophy, escape with 25,000 points trophy & escape at Mind Level 5 trophy may require another playthrough.

If you want to save time, I suggest you upload your save data to cloud storage just before popping the trophy, e.g., letting one collectible left for the trophy to pop.
