Which GTA are you gonna play first?

You know what really makes me feel old?

 

The fact this is not the 1st time these 3 games got bundled together and re released, they did it for PS4 what feels not too long ago but turns out it was way back in December 2015 it's crazy it has been almost 6 years we all getting old over here ?

 

Back on the PS4 I played the order I remember liking them as a kid, San Andreas, Vice City then III but I remember enjoying Vice City the best so this time that's what I'm going for 1st then III leaving San Andreas to last.

 

Did you Platinum them back on PS4? What order are you gonna play them in?

I plan to play them in order as time permits. I'm thinking of making SA my 400th plat as its still my favorite in the series.

I was 15 when the first game came out. Now that’s old!

 

Start at 3 and work your way through. Theres some cross over and some in jokes that you’ll appreciate more that way.

 

Also less said about the nasty ps2 versions that they released on PS4 the better.

Lets defiantly not mention the terrible iOS version ported to the PS3 literally just before the PS4 trilogy in 2015 when the PS4 was already 2 years old.

I'll be going in order, hopefully getting the Platinum on each respective title before moving on to the next one. I'm so damn excited.

I platinumed SA in the last bundle but didn’t finish VC or 3. I’m playing SA first this time and I’m definitely going for the platinum, I’d like to finish the other 2 this time though. I’ll probably play VC after and 3 last purely because 3 is what I’ve played least so I’m not as excited about it.

Sheesh I want to do III first but I think im going with San Andreas. I suppose I'll work my way down when it comes to game mechanics. The most first the least last. I've never finished Vice City, I think I was like 14 when it came out and skipped so much school for it but also shared it with my younger brother so we constantly fought for game time.

III, when I have access to the trilogy. III is the most rustic and therefore will be the game with the most improvements for sure.

I've played them many times before, however this time I'm going in chronological order. VC, SA then III. I haven't played through them in that order (it's definitely not really necessary though) but just thought I'd change it up this time. Once I get off work I'm starting the trilogy

I have started on Vice City. My music taste comes from this game. I just like the setting and music. Then San Andreas then 3 last. It's weird having no pop in and radio and weapon wheels.

It can’t be worse than the ps2 ports. I actually played GTA 3 on iOS when it first came out on the device and it was a lot better than the older console editions.

I will play them in release order. 

 

San Andreas is my favorite one. I used to tell my friends what new features were being introduced before it released (high school days, drinking beer at the park) Good times. I was counting the days for that one. I used to read this magazine on a regular basis in anticipation. Just 3 hours/30 minutes left now

Billie Jean is not in the soundtrack for the definitive edition so I guess not haha, you can checkout which tracks are missing here:

No. Its missing. Apparently its basically the same songs that where missing from any re release of the game.

Oh it is. SA on PS3 is regarded as the worst port of any GTA by the community. The bugs are endless and the soul of the game (colour, sunsets etc.) was ripped out. Most actually recommended going for the PS2 port instead!

I'm currently trying to plat vice city the original one before it got taken down on the store. And I'm kinda glad I did because I'm preparing myself for the physical release. Sorry but these games are just too good not to buy the physical copy for. Just saying.

I will wait for a sale and hope they release San Andreas on its own. I’ve never played 3 or VC so will be playing San Andreas purely for nostalgia. I can remember when it came out, I bought a PS2 and played it all day then realised I didn’t have a memory card…

The horrible draw distance and pop in that the ps2 versions suffer with are a game breaker for me. On vice city it literally spawns cars right Infront of you, out of nowhere! It's unplayable to me. I've not played enough of the PS3 version to comment on bugs but the pop in is definitely better.
