Popular Post DHawk12
EDIT: I now pretty much have 100% on this game. Disregard every game other than 1942 for capco. For the “Play 1000 Games”: Start any game, insert quarter, press x to start then hit the menu and press “restart game”, rinse and repeat. Fully exiting the game isn’t required and loading saves doesn’t count. For the 100 hours trophy, start any game with a timed challenge available, get a game over and stay afk during the capco reward screen. Original: The fastest way to farm capco is definitely from abusing rewind but there a specific method. 1. Create a save right before killing the final boss OR before the end stage bonus (depends on the game). 2. Finish the game like normal then exit the game. 3. Load up the save, do the appropriate # of rewinds (listed below), repeat. *Game over screen is not required for capco points to stick, in-game score change is all that’s required. **37.5k is the maximum capco thats allowed per save load (75k during bonus campaign). Every game has a different amount of rewinds required to hit 37.5k/75k due to in-game score variation. Rewinds Required to Hit Max Capco (Free Play): 1942 (Stage 32 Bonus) - 0 Rewinds 1941 (Stage 6 Boss) - 4 Rewinds Varth (Stage 30 Boss) - 9 Rewinds Carrier Air Wing (Stage 10 Bonus) - 10 Rewinds* Forgotten Worlds (Stage 9 Bonus) - 4 Rewinds GhostsNGoblins (Princess Kiss) - 11 Rewinds *2nd page of stage bonus based on total $$ stored (No death run) It will take 9 hours using this method if you only play 1942 (4.5 if bonus campaign is active). TheDarkKratos
Thanks for this. I might have to buy 1942 just for the last 2 x trophies.

Guest
are you sure it's safe to rewind without causing trouble for the trophy and in-game achievements? people claimed that rewinding was sure to cause trouble, was that fixed? Yeah the last update fixed that. I got the level 5/10 capco trophies while I was putting the guide together. The only bad thing about this method is that loading a save doesn’t contribute to the “play 100/1000 games” trophies, you need to choose the cabinet for it to register.

I'm with 11 million caspo, today I won 6 million more, requiring only 1 rewind for maximum benefit (37.5k) in 1943. I can make 1 million in 15 minutes. this grind is really horrible, in other grinds you actively play at least for real, here you just switch between loading screens for hours, I'm calculating at least another 15 active hours, it will take a long time to do this process because I can't do it for long

That equates to 11,250,000 per hour if you play at 100% efficiency (8.8 hours from 0-100m). 22,500,000 per hour if bonus campaign is active. I’m at like 15m, I plan on grinding across the entire week (~45 minutes per day) whenever 1941 or 1942 have the bonus campaign active. There’s no way I can grind for multiple hours just navigating menus lol. Edited November 23, 2021 by DHawk12

NMErickson
Surely it’s quicker than 4.5 hours. I did it in 3.5 to 4 and that was with reloading each save and no rewinds. I’d imagine 3 to 3.5.

Its possible that you can get it done in 3.5-4 hours but only if you quit and reload at maximum efficiency the entire time.

Get a perfect and win with lots of time left. Create a save point before the score is tallied. It takes about 26 rewinds to get the most points for SF2.

You
Final Fight is probably tricky, not impossible. You need to do it on a bit in a game where you earn a large amount of score, arguably the best place is when you complete the game / a stage. Unfortunately Final Fight does not seem to have end of level bonuses. Perhaps here when you hit the last boss is your best bet. Or Stage 2 where you smash up a car. Seriously though, games are sold separately now and they are on sale so each game is like barely a dollar. I used Knights Of The Round on one collection and Battle Circuit on the other. When you get a game over just let the game run overnight while the caspo reward screen is visible. It’s been awhile since I’ve played so I’m not sure if this ever got patched so maybe test it out first. Edited March 4, 2023 by DHawk12
Popular Post agorazUHD
So I decided to re-play through this on my retro account and, after reading through this thread, can confirm that the 100 hour method of sitting at the CASPO reward screen has been patched: You can no longer just sit at the screen sitting idle. I'm using a PS5 this time around to play, but I don't think it matters which system you have (PS4/PS5). So... a new method to get the 100 hours, is in fact, an old method from the old Capcom Arcade Cabinet. The only catch is that you need to buy Pirate Ship HigeMaru from this collection. The video below shows how you go about it. Essentially, you block yourself away from the enemies chasing you, while letting the game run over and over in it's infinite loop. In the CAS collection, the timer continues and can be shown increasing when you exit the game and check the info screen, pressing Triangle at game selection. The beauty of this method on CAS? You can save game the setup so you can return to it at anytime via Load Game in the Game Menu. So whenever you feel like running the game in auto-pilot, just load up the save and do something else. Hope this helps anyone trying for the 100% still. ?

Popular Post PunisherXD
Finally got myself to pick this game up and finally get it off my backlog. All I have left is the idling for 100 hours and the infamous CASPO farm. It seems like a lot of the information is scattered around this thread due to a lack of editing the mini-guide from the OP as the game got updates and whatnot, so I figured I'll make a quick summary of what you need to do for the 100% and how to get it as fast as possible, to my knowledge, just so all the methods are in one place. To get the game done with these methods you will need to purchase: Invincibility Option (£1) 1942 (£2) Vulgus (£2) So £5 in total or the rough equivalent of your country's currency. Hardcore Gamer - Play any of the games a total of 1000 times This is still accurate from the original post. You go into any of the games, Insert Coin, Start Game, restart game through options, and repeat 1000 times. About 3 hours of menuing? not sure, I wasn't counting properly 😅 Serious Gamer - Play for at least 100 hours This is the main one where the method in the OP doesn't work anymore. I haven't tested the method with Pirate Ship HigeMaru, so I am using a different method. I booted up Vulgus, turned Invincibility on in the settings, set the speed to the slowest and just let it run. When you want to finish the session just press "Select Another Game" through options and the hours should track. I tried this with both short (<5 hours) and long (~20 hour) sessions and its tracked well every time, so there shoudln't be any problems. CapcoMaster - Reach Class 20: CapcoMaster The method used for this listed in the OP still works, but I will still note it down here. Boot up 1942 and get to the very end of the game. It should take a bit over an hour to do this with the speed on one above normal, which is how I played. Once you clear the final stage, make a save before you collect the 10,000,000 bonus points. This is where the CASPO farming starts. once you made the save, get the points, and once you see it add to your total score, reload save. You're gonna be repeating it for X amount of hours (I have successfully farmed caspo with this before, but I haven't gotten class 20 as of now, will update this once I do). Every time you get this bonus points you will get either 37,500 or 75,000 CASPO depending on whether the game is currently on rotation for the bonus campaign, which changes every Tuesday. Amazing Job! - Get 50,000 CASPO in one session while in a Score or Timed Challenge This is one that I didn't see much information on an it confused me for a little bit. However, it's actually really simple. Just start a timed challenge on 1942 and play like you normally would, rewinding any mistakes you make. Once you're at about 1,000,000 total score, maybe a bit higher just to be sure, you can game over on purpose and this should get you enough CASPO in the rewards screen to pop all three trophies related to this I'm not going to write about the rest as those are fairly straightforward. In case you need guidance on "Technician" just start up a game you'll be familiar with (1942) and play through it on Very Hard and the slowest speed. It'll take a few hours but you can rewind all of your mistakes if you know your way with it and you can save scum very easily, so this shouldn't take too long. Hopefully this helps those who are just as confused about the game as I was to finally complete this game that's rare for no reason 😆 Edited December 17, 2023 by PunisherXD2006
