Hazard Zone - Help, tips and related trophies

Hey everyone, hope you've been enjoying Battlefield in whatever way you can! I've personally been going for the Clean Exit trophy (I've done it 4 times now and have the unlocks but no trophy) but thought we could use this thread for tips incase it helps each other out

 

For me personally either having a HUMV with the 30mm (and a decent driver) is massive in terms of clearing out the opposition or even getting your group a couple of rangers dogs. But mostly I'd be able to clear out lots of people with just positioning the HUMV with the 30mm in key areas and rain down fire on them.

 

Of course having friends who you can talk with helps a lot aswell or if the random people are on the same page as you! It seems hard to come by people that don't just want to run in, grab a drive and die when we could scout out for a vehicle unlink and be much, much greater in terms of firepower and longevity. 

 

But I'd love to hear your tips or experiences! Amy issues with the trophy too?

For the trophy - try exiting the game and fully turning off your console (hard shutdown, not rest mode) then boot back up and it should pop the next time you enter a match. I've had to do this to get half the trophies to pop, but it worked 99% of the time.

The Hazard Zone trophies are not that bad, but extracting 25 times is going to take a while, depending on the squad your paired with and how lucky you are in general. Luckily, Powerpyx pointed out that if you go down or get killed while in any of the two extraction vehicles, it will still count as successfully extracting.

 

For tips: I always use the LCMG and Prox Sensors. The sensors help me spot nearby enemies for my squad while working on the Five by Five, B trophy. The LCMG on the other hand can shoot targets at decent lengths with sustainable firepower (if you got some attachments equipped). Lastly, I always use Falck as a specialist since she can revive players faster and heal them with her syringe pistol when her team needs healing during battle.

Thanks very much! I just gave it a try now and sadly it hasn't worked for me (I even loaded up a hazard zone and a conquest match to completion just incase) but hopefully your advice might help someone else or I'll even give it another try on my 5th time around!

I started selecting Falck, seems everytime I’ve seen teammates select her, they never bother or realize in healing other teammates, or even themselves. On top of selecting the Medic, I bring smoke bombs, my teammates always get downed in the very open, so me tryna revive me exposes me as well. Everyone else seems not to bother picking any specific tactical items, they just roll with pre-selected Data Scanners, so I usually depend on others to ping the data spots, though sometimes they don’t use the scanners, so I just hope we either stumble into data spots, or retrieve data drives from enemy players that we eliminate ourselves. Teammates keep ignoring vehicles, so I try to tell em to get in one and I’ll drive, especially vehicles that you can call in, or that the AI be driving around, can use them, they always have gun turrets  attached. 
I found that if enemy players are boarding the extraction ship, but we’re there outside, if it’s too risky to expose ourselves and kill the enemies inside, I wait till there’s a second left on the timer till extraction ship leaves, and I jump inside, so far I’ve always managed to extract successfully with my data like that. Even if you get downed, as long as you’re inside the ship, game still counts it as a successful extraction. It’s cheap, but it works. Usually I rush as fast as I can to get to extraction ship, but there’s always enemies who beat us to it.

I have massive problems with the "Clean Exit" trophy (extract with no one having died).

 

Like OP I did it three times already, once even solo (I was put in a one man squad for some reason, match wasn't full either) but still no trophy

I also have the unlock of course and also restarted the game numerous time but nothing helped.

I can say that you can fall, the main thing is not to die. It was a crazy match where three players fell exploding in transport due to a collision bug, and the fourth revived us all. Everyone probably fell once or twice.

 

It is important to note that we became the last team on the field and evacuated at point E2 (this may be the cause of the problem if you are evacuating at point E1, but this is not accurate). The squad was full.

 

I still feel grateful to my random team, which showed such organization and mutual assistance. Alas, many matches look very different.

 

The mode is fun enough, so I don't think the rest of the achievements are really a problem.

Nice one! I actually managed to get the trophy myself yesterday night which overall makes it my 6th attempt but with the final try it was for sure the most rewarding and like you said, the random team really should be amended for that and I really do appreciate their help (and hope the trophy popped for them, whether they're trophy hunters or not) 

 

The key difference in that final attempt was that nobody went down at all but in those other attempts someone went down but I think seeing from the reports from other players it does seem to be a little temperamental at the moment! 

 

Good luck everyone else though and I hope this thread still helps people. 

 

Another tip I'd add is is using the SVK as it's a two shot kill most of the time!

I've noticed the Escape Artist is more bugged than I thought, extracting 25 times is hard enough as it is. I've counted every time and when I extracted for the 22nd time I unlocked the badge or whatever it was for extracting 10 times. What?! That was such a slap in the face. I was thinking I only had a few left and it turns out I'm not even halfway.

 

Here's what I noticed though. I've extracted many times with full squad and at the end screen there is sometimes a green tick under the names and sometimes not. Regardless if you see it or not you still get all the rewards for xp and credits but I think the green tick is vital for progress on the trophy. I don't know if this is a new bug in the latest patch but it's extremely frustrating when you manage to extract after a difficult game and it might not even count. It seems to be very random because sometimes there are 4 ticks, sometimes 2, sometimes none. And even if the full squad extracts the narrator at the end sometimes says something like sorry we had to leave you behind or something even though no one died so that leads me to believe the game does not register every person in the helicopter. I have no clue what causes it. I just hope dice are aware of it. It might not be worth going for this trophy yet until they fix it

"Clean Exit" finally popped for me on the fifth or sixth try.

 

I didn't do anything special and I also wasn't the first one on the aircraft as some have suggested.

 

I even got downed along the way (but was revived).

 

The only thing that was "special" was that we didn't collect a single data drive and escaped on the first extraction but I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

 

Oh, the friend I was playing with got the trophy as well (for him it was the very first try lol).

I'm asking because I'm already at 29 extractions but no trophy yet.

 

Also, what exactly counts as "successful extraction"? Just an extraction (stay alive, get the "mission accomplished" thing at the end) or do you have to do something else, like finding a data drive, killing enemies, etc.?

I got the trophy on my 37th extraction. You just have to be in the helicopter when it leaves, that is it. If you die and someone in your squad extracts it will say success, but it will not count towards this trophy.

Nah I counted myself. But you will know when you have reached 10 because you unlock a new title at that point. As I said earlier I had extracted 22 times when the game registered 10 so its just a coin flip if it counts or not

@cenorexia I didn't actually count my extractions past the first 10 when I got the corresponding title in-game, I can't say for sure but it didn't take too long after that. I guess it popped around at 25-27 extractions. By the way Clean exit popped at the fifth time where 3 of our squad extracted and the last one was knocked outside! What I understand is that as long you get a Mission Accomplised at the end of the round it counts as an extraction, doesn't matter if you collect data drives or kill enemies. Also beware of extraction bugs where you get on the plane and it gives you a mission failed at the end, it happened 3 times to me.

I thought so that extractions in which you die but others extract do not count.

I kept track of my extractions manually by writing them down and I also noted which ones I was in the aircraft and which ones it said "successful" but without me on board.

 

Without me on board it would be 31.

 

It's kinda annoying that there's no real in-game counter. I guess I'll just have to keep playing and extracting until it pops eventually.

 

@UNDERDOG90 Yeah, I had that bug twice already. Managed to get onto the plane, defend it, plane takes off but it still says Mission Failed for some reason.

Is this mode still going strong? Managed to get 2-3 games but that’s out of a good 20 attempts … is this region locked ? Australia lobbies seem dead.

 

whats the minimum to start on say PS4 or ps5 to get a game going before it throws in bots?

 

can this be boosted ?

I suspect its region locked yes because as soon as I passed midnight in my region it took forever to find a game every day. But it is definitely not going strong, its not a good game mode. 

 

The game does not replace humans with bots. The bots spawn around the data drives and extraction zones. The games don't seem to start until the lobby has 7 or 8 squads. It can't really be boosted, but you might be lucky if all of you are in the same region and matchmake at the same time

Mine popped at either 25 or 26 and many of mine included deaths while not on the helicopter.  Some were just downs and some were complete deaths. It just seems the counter is screwy. I worried that they wouldn't count but apparently they did. So it does count. A buddy of mine who mostly partied with me took over 30 exfils. It's odd, he didn't even get the 50 drives trophy til after 50 and mine popped at 36.

 

I stuck with dozer to shield myself on the helicopter ramp and bashed those who tried to get on while there was smoke at the door.

It helps when you don't search for drives bc I watched moving drives to judge which exfil to chose and track when teams were near.

It's also nice to just camp (I just wanted the trophy I hated hazard) with some friends and rush an exfil or if you are bored of that you can hunt teams looking for drives which is risky but with a good team it feels rewarding during the grind.

I got on the aircraft twice yesterday with my full squad (we each had 3 data drives) and the timer runs out and we were all celebrating only to see the "Mission failed - squad wiped". The 2nd time it happened, we were the last team standing as we had eliminated all the other teams. This mode sucks.

 

Also, when there's already a team on board the aircraft, we all threw our grenades in the plane and shot our rocket launchers and we couldn't kill anyone....it's like they are invincible to grenades and rocket launchers....but if you use your gun you might be able to shoot and kill them as long as they don't have a Dozer shield guy. This mode sucks.

 

I have about 9 more to go according to my counts...but I know that means I'll probably have to do it 15 more times since the game is so buggy with trophy popping. Would have been nice if the two I did yesterday counted.

This might've been Irish's ability, he can throw down this little device that completely negates all explosives like rockets and grenades. Pretty useful during extraction.

Our best PvP tactic is:

1 guy with the spotting drone, and another with C5. Your friend can put C5 to the drone. Stay low, and sneaky. Just blow up 1-2 unawared enemy from the other team and rush them immediately with the element of surprise.  Aaaaand, you can blow up a whole team in the VTOL.  Yes, i know...it's not nice. 

 

Still waiting for the Clean exit, and the 25 exfil trophy. Bugged for me... ?

this game is confusing the hell out of me, on ps4 is it all bots?(posted here because that forum is dead) when i look at whose playing it only lists my squad and nothing else. so i dont know if im fighting actual people or bots?? and if there is other people how come i never see them going for data drives

also is the extraction when you go to the pod, or is it when you board a plane? im guessing its when yo board the plane so then what are the pods even for?

so now the 2 trophies are confusing the hell out of me

im getting sniped from unreal spots, killed with vehicles out of no where when our team has no way to defend ourselves, knifed by maniacs who are acting like michael myers. if your squad aint in a tight group your swiss cheese and then swarmed by enemies.

Pack rat means you and/or your team having an accumulative 50 drives (minus any that bugs may or may not count). Mine popped at 36 but the friends I played with had it at 51.

 

Escape artist can be done with or without drives you just need to be on the exfil chopper. Mine popped at 25 or 26, some aren't so lucky. If you eat to rush the exfils I suggest going without drives since you won't be seen until you are fighting whoever is left trying to exfil (we stuck with e2 for less teams). The data drive scanner helps track movement of those with drives and where they are but some poeple also just try to leave without drives so you will have to see them in person which is shitty but you coordinate with a team or hope the randoms you play with are aggressive and wipe out other players. It's all a matter of how things turn out. Also even though I died before exfil and my team left and I never had that nice checkmark stating I was on the plane ot seemed to count. Note that if even one enemy player is on the plane with you, unless he is completely down the exfil can fail even if your whole team is on the plane. It's kinda shitty they don't look at the majority team for exfil so it's imperative to ensure whoever is on the plane on the opposing team is down for the count or your whole run is pointless. Its hard to pull off, I've put like 30 hours+ into Hazard with a solid team, it just takes a long ass time.

 

And yeah, you will die a lot. Team coordination is key but I've played with randoms and won too. I gave a few tips on a post above but really it's all about finding out what works for you. I've played matches where people legit don't care to exfil and only play to destroy you for trying.

 

Oh, also, I doubt uts all bots on ps4 unless some update made that happen. The ai typically spawn at drops you can tell if they may or may jot be there on the map overlay before you spawn in. It has a meter for chance with ai/drive/supply drops in areas where it could happen.
