soniq
I can't really enjoy a game anymore unless there are trophies to earn. I'd unfortunately have 2-3 by now if I had a friend/second controller to play the games with, but alas I do not! My current game may be my first. I can help you with the XCOM multiplayer trophy if you want. It doesn't get you much closer to the platinum, but at least you'll have another trophy. chad1990
The trophies that require multiple playthroughs....although it depends what game (e.g Kingdom hearts takes minimum of 2 or 3 playthroughs, I can deal with that since it has alot of replay value and I wana complete it on hard before KH2.5 HD comes out ) But a game like DMC on all 5-6 difficulties....screw that! I also find grinding trophies can be a pain...but again, it depends on the game. I loved grinding on all the FF13 games. Tales of games are a no go for grinding IMO.. Oh! I forgot the trophies where if you miss one slight thing, then you have to start the game all over again....happened too many times for me Edited August 12, 2014 by chad1990
iAaron04
Multiplayer Trophies are probably my weakness, or completing a game more than once just for the other difficulty Trophies for games that don't stack (Kingdom Hearts 1.5)

DanielVT
Online Trophies that are a grind and online trophies that have the servers shut down. I usually procrastinate on games and then barely trophy hunt for months, and then all of a sudden I go on an absolute lengthy tear where I am completely focused (like right now). As such there are many games that I have gotten around to that I've been screwed out of a platinum so I don't play them anymore, although sometimes I go back and get all possible trophies that aren't online. I.E. here are games that I've been screwed out of and also are way way way way too much of a grind. It has to be a game I really like for me to spend 100 hours on it. Such as Battlefield, Homefront etc. Resistance 2 Killzone 2 Shaun White Snowboarding Avatar: The Game Lord of the Rings Conquest Mag Red Dead Redemption I'll never have a 100% completion rate, but I'd love to be in the 90's someday. You are aware RDR takes about 10 hours, maximum, if you grind level 50 offline? It's actually not much of a grind. I could help, if you want. Hamburger Helper
Wait, you can do it offline? How long does it take to get all MP trophies? Delete the patch and replay gang hideouts; it's tedious, but the job gets one fairly quickly. The other MP trophies require boosting, so you'll have to gather a few people for the posse trophy. I still have my copy, so just PM me whenever and I could hop on.

Yeah, but I hear the gamespy servers are down so you can't track your progress towards 100% in the SP. That really makes me reluctant.

That really makes me reluctant. Don't worry, it's not hard at all. Sure, the Social Club would've kept track of everything, but if you follow the 'Redeemed' guide on this website, everything will flow smoothly. Trust me, you're doing yourself a disservice if you pass up on this game - the plat is doable, and it's not very time consuming

Leenewbe
NO.1 has definitely got to be glitched trophies. Putting in a load of work to find out that it was all for nothing because it decided not to unlocked. online ranked trophies, don't mind matchmaker one's as much as I've got a good group of boosters. killing a stupid amount of enemies (dead rising 2, warhammer & resistance 2 being a few examples) not so much stopping me getting plats but adding a slighty harder difficulty to a game meaning I have to do it all again, games like rage and tlou doing this can be annoying. having to complete the game on an easy setting to unlock a harder one. this ones more about myself doing plats, I can sometimes get easily bored with a good game and not come back to it for quite a while. MarcusTheShadow
sure online trophies and most of the times difficulty based trophies. Most of the times on hard because of the fear of getting stuck in a part of the game
lvankov
In terms of "holy crap my i can't stop getting my ass kicked" Vanquick Tactical Challenge would comes to mind. Those i still haven't done are often of Japanese games, like: Star Ocean The Last Hope - Battle Trophies who ask you to kill 30 000 enemies with 2 different character, so 60 000 kills in total, after i completed most of the game, did all secondary objective etc, my kill count was at 7 000... meh Binary Domain - Ridiculous MP trophy in a completly dead MP (MP sucked too) White Knight Chronicles 2 - Mostly a game meant to be played in co-op, which in itself wasn't bad at all, too bad the server got cut off early, based on my current progress i'd probably another 500 hours to have a chance to plat. Being bored by the game matters too, Mirror's Edge was fun but couldn't stand the whole replaying the same thing over and over and over and over. I don't play online often but as those MP seems to come with every games nowaday, i do hate being asked to reach whatever level in those, Max Payne 3 or RDR comes to mind, i always wonder at which extent they use trophies as a mean to get people to play their MP.
EvenstarII
Any type of grinding trophy, whether it's online or not. I hate doing one little thing that requires hours & hours of monotonous gameplay to get a trophy. Especially when that trophy isn't silver or higher. Really pisses me off lol I'm also not a big fan of collecting. It isn't always so bad, but sometimes if you have to complete an item list or a monster list of some kind, it can get tedious & annoying. XIII-Order-Xion
I hate multiplay throughs in games on higher difficulties. I also hate lvl grinding. And agree with the no chapter select in some games had to play Murdered Soul suspect a second time because I forgot just a handful of items to plat the damn thing. I also have a bane for trophies that you need to get online to get., like Bioshock 2 or to a more recent extent BO2.
HolyNevadaRage
Same things that kill games really, glitches, invisible walls, weird invisible walls, crap physics engines, and of course crap multiplayer. If the online is good I can sit through a grind because I'm still enjoying the game even if I've already got my trophies. I think of it like a board game or a PC game, fun because it works and gives me a sense of accomplishment. First platinum I got was a grind but good couch coop and online got me through. In all honesty I don't think I'm going to be going for many plats, but I do want to improve my completion rate.
Jenni_m_87
I always start on the hardest difficulty to stack trophies and it goes something like this ... - *Insert disc* - "This setting is for experienced players only" - *Confirm* - Not gonna die not gonna die not gonna die. I died. - Pull yourself together, you can do this. - You've come this far you can't quit now. - You completed the prologue. Congratulations.
