Is it faster to increase your Ki by doing story missions or Survival?

I'm currently at 48 Ki. I'm finding the story missions to be a really tedious grind. I usually only go up one Ki per mission, and each mission takes 15-20 minutes. Is Survival any better?

I found Survival to be more enjoyable, especially if you can accomplish all the bonus objectives. Story is probably faster, but like you said it's tedious.

Well, heres what i did with a friend.  We would make sure he had all items at max ki equipted regardless of stats or item.  Then run 2 or 3 of the chapter 1 missions.  Should be able to do all 3 in under 10 mins speedrunning levels.  At the end your rewards should gain your character 5 ki increase on average after you equip the new items.  About an hour to get to gold(75 ki) from where you are.   It will do double duty helping for the rank trophies.

 

Survival is slower but may be more fun.

 

For example silver very first mission.  Crouch in grass, wait for twins to approach.  Stealth kill them both.  Run past tower through water.  Kill far twins, and inspect the tracks.  enter the teleport.  Should take 2 mins max. 2nd mission.  stealth kill twins, run far left ignoring archers and up and kill upper twins, then check cart.  Another 2 mins.  3rd mission run around and kill everything.  Once you get a route its very quick.   Once i hit gold, i would suicide if there was kami enemies as it took too long.
