San Andreas Chiliad Challenge

I've been working on San Andreas and I'm down to the 100% trophies and Assassin. I'm at 96.26% completion and the only things I have left are the Chiliad Challenge and the collectibles but there is never a bike on top of Mount Chiliad. I've gone up there at least 5 different times and the only things up there are the 2 vans. Any ideas?

Bring a bike yourself to the starting point. Place it exactly where it would normally be, then jump on it. It *should* work.

I'm saying "should" because this port is so dead broken I'm not even sure what works and what doesn't.

The bike only appears between 7:00 and 18:00. There is a safe house near the mountain where you can skip time by saving. Alternativly, down the hill there is a cabin where you can take a mountain bike, park the bike at the challenge spot and jump off and back on again. 

 

Btw if you are behind in the race , you can stop before the finish line and kill all your oponents with a sniper.

Thanks guys. I knew about the time and always went between those hours so not sure what the problem was but I went up there probably close to 10 different times during breaks from collectibles and there was never a bike. Taking one up on my own worked and I got the plat!
