Does anybody know how long these servers will stay online for

I cannot tell at all, but I recommend going after the game base game wise unless you want to pay up money for a permadeath mode and a barren coop mode for the 100%.

Nobody on this website is going to know that. You’d have to ask Guerilla and even then I very highly doubt they would have an answer for you. Best guess is that they will be online for as long as the Killzone 2 or 3 servers were online for.

Killzone Mercenary is still up, so I would say don't worry about Shadowfall until at least a Mercenary shutdown is announced. Worst case scenario is they announce the shutdown for both games simultaneously, but more than likely, Mercenary will be first.

I personally think it will be both. We have to remember that Sony recently shut down the servers for four Vita games at the same time (Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice, Soul Sacrifice Delta, Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines) so I see them giving notice of a shutdown about a month away from the date for Killzone Mercenary and Killzone Shadowfall.
