Platinum #226! 5/10 Difficulty 

To be honest, very rarely do I force myself to get a platinum. I love trophy hunting, but I'm not a profile completionist so most of the time if I don't enjoy a game I'll just drop it regardless of what % I'm at on it. However, I am a Final Fantasy completionist and so I push myself to get all Final Fantasy trophies, even in the rare case that I don't like the FF game. This is definitely one of those rare cases. In my opinion, and shockingly I've gotten the vibe that I'm in the minority here, this is the worst game I've played on PS5 so far. Story makes no sense whatever, combat is woefully lacking compared to its FromSoft inspiration, characters are by far the worst and most boring and generic a Final Fantasy game has ever had, etc. Total trash, would not recommend. If it weren't a Final Fantasy and I wasn't so dedicated to trophy hunting the series I wouldn't have even made it half way through the main campaign. Glad it's over...for now.

Well I've finally entered  Bronze tier myself! Gonna pat myself on the back here in a minute adding myself to the main post lol Next up is Sackboy. I'm most of the way through the platinum, but I gave up on it over a year ago because of the frustrating final trial. So once I psych myself up to tackle that I'll do that then enjoy the clean up.

I was super hyped at launch, but after playing for 20 hours it ended up being boring and repetitive. Eight months passed by and I've decided to force myself to finish it and...wow, thank god (or gods) that I did that, what a masterpiece of a game. Hades got me hooked in a way that wasn't happening since a long time.

I know I know, I keep changing around the list lol what I decide to plat next is always chosen on a whim. I wish I could love Bloodborne as much as everyone else, don't get me wrong I do LIKE it, but I prefer the slower Dark Souls-esque approach to combat. The lore and world are nothing short of amazing though! I also did Habroxia a few weeks back and had a genuinely good time with it! Looking to finish The Walking Dead within the next couple of days and then finish up everything in Outer Wilds. Getting close to finishing the list and am thinking of out-doing myself for when I do a second list!

I don't agree with the Team Sonic Racing difficulty rating either. Even as a more persistent gamer who doesn't give up easily, I felt it was way too hard to warrant a 4 out of 10. A couple of those Ring challenges and Target challenges kept me busy for a solid hour or two each.

Donald still doesn't heal. Will be working on The Last of Us and Devil May Cry 5.

Can i use it as a Joker ? I got the platinum "day one" (8^th February 2022) and can't find a 2/10 i could like (Powerpyx downgraded him to 3... ? ), it would be good if i could put him in the 2/10 category honestly.

WARNING: Might have to bow out, as I have spent a month playing Pokemon Ultra Moon crafting a living Pokdex of all the Pokemon you find in Alola and working on a Professor Oak challenge in Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and just bought Pokemon Omega Ruby as the price of Pokemon games is going up up up instead of getting discounts. (The only retail store which has Pokemon Soul Silver is selling it for $200! ) But I know this event is going to go on to the end of 2022, so this is just a warning for now. If I get too distracted and the months slip away, I might have to leave this challenge but let's hope it's not coming to that.

 

(Also, I may be moving shop this autumn as my dad is getting approval to set up a smaller shack-house for me in the backyard of his place so I might be moving house in a few months; if the approval happens I may be spending my summer helping him set up the house so less time for gaming.)

This is a good question, thank you. I've never considered the idea of a joker before. I don't think it would be a good idea though, because I think it's important to the challenge to do each of the different difficulty levels, even the lower ones. I'd say if you don't have a 2/10 yet you'd need to do a 2/10. If you're having trouble finding a 2/10 you can look here on PlatPrices or check the lists of others and see if anything intrigues you. Also keep in mind that you can round up or down for any rating that is from a community poll. So anything 1.1 through 2.99 can count as a 2. Hopefully that helps.

If it doesn’t have a rating anywhere at all it can’t be counted cause then it’s just up to personal ratings. And yeah if the achievements are the same as the trophies Xbox ratings can count. Welcome to the challenge!

Batman Arkham Knight - ok so yep this definitely feels like a 4/10 for the platinum only, the main game is one of the easiest out there. 

Too bad I can't count the DLC as well, that would have put the game in a completely different bracket
