The Walking Dead PS4

Platinum #47

Since my last update I've been working towards the challenge having just completed the 400 Days DLC for The Walking Dead on the PlayStation 4. A friend recommended the game to me and I was pleasantly surprised with the story and the moral decisions that are forced upon you that have drastic consequences that shape the story itself. Needless to say I'm happy to have played it for my 1/10 submission for the challenge. As far as time is concerned I've spent 12.5 hours on the 100% completion, from a trophy standpoint the game is incredibly easy the only trophy that was annoying to get because I had to restart it at least 3 times was the stupid rock, paper, scissor trophy in the DLC.

This is my 9th game completed as far as the challenge goes however I won't be starting the last game for a while as I intend to play some games that wouldn't qualify for the challenge. @Rebourne07 here's my list as of the time of posting;

1 The Walking Dead Season 1 + 400 Days DLC Time Taken 12.5 hours

2 SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection (PS3) Time Taken 10-12 hours

3 Zone of the Enders The 2nd Runner (PS4) Time Taken 12 hours

4 Resident Evil 6 (PS4) Time Taken 51.5 hours

5 Crash 3 Warped (PS4) Time Taken 15 hours

6 Table Top Racing World Tour (PS4) Time Taken 23.5 hours

7 Marvel Vs Capcom 3 (PS3) Time Taken 7.5 hours

8 Devil May Cry 1 HD (PS3) 100% Time Taken 15 hours

9 Not Started

10 Ultra Street Fighter 4 (PS3) Completion 97% (Platinum) Time Taken 72 hours

Games completed 9/10

Time taken 221 hours!

Congratulations on Gold tier!

Booted up Jak 2 on the PS3 today and remembered exactly why I didn't like it lol. After that, I realized that I did Uncharted 4 earlier in the year which is rated as a 5/10 on PlaystationTrophies so I thought "After all why not, why not count it as my 5/10 for the challenge?" Following that realization, I'm not really in a RPG mood right now so I changed my 3/10, Adventures of Mana, to be Overcooked All You Can Eat instead. Once that's done, I'll take a weeks vacation before I work on the second list. Once I post the second list, I will not change it a single time, no matter how hard it gets. Hold me to my word!

1/10: The Walking Dead :platinum: (5/6)

2/10: Habroxia :platinum: (4/20)

3/10: Overcooked All You Can Eat*

4/10: Outer Wilds :platinum: (5/10)

5/10: Uncharted 4** :platinum: (2/16)

6/10: Dissidia NT :platinum: (1/22)

7/10: Bloodborne :platinum: (5/3)

8/10: CoD Black Ops 3 :platinum: (4/1)

9/10: Fall Guys :platinum: (4/4)

10/10: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus :platinum: (4/14)

Nice! I moved you up to Gold tier! And a second list sounds great, but I won't hold you to your word on not changing lol I like that everyone is fluid with their lists and imo it's good when you ditch a game you don't feel like playing. That said I respect the commitment if you wanna put extra rules in there to make it more interesting for you so whatever you wanna do :)

Platinum Difficulty Challenge 2022

Premise: During the year 2022 you must earn one platinum trophy from every difficulty level 1-10. So you must earn a platinum from a 1/10 game, a 2/10 game, etc, all the up through a 10/10 game.

Rules:

  • The difficulty ratings can come from any trophy related website, but they cannot be your personal ratings. You must submit proof in the form of a link to each game's difficulty rating.
  • Each platinum you want to count must have a timestamp within the year 2022. You can make any amount of progress you want to before then, but the platinum trophy must be unlocked in the year 2022.
  • You can join the challenge anytime and with any amount of progress already made. The challenge will be open throughout all of 2022.
  • Auto-pop platinums count. The goal of this event isn't to put a bunch of restrictions on everyone to make it as hardcore as possible. The goal is to have fun. If you wanna auto-pop Spider-Man Remastered for your 3/10, that's fine.
  • You can platinum the games in any order.
  • Games without a platinum do not count, regardless of the difficulty rating of achieving 100%.
  • No DLC or 100% required, only the platinum trophy.
  • You can start and stop the challenge at any point. If you get tired of it when you get to the higher difficulty levels, just take a break and come back. As long as it's within 2022 it counts.
  • Since there's no way to prove or disprove that you used glitches or exploits...anything goes. If you want to use in game cheats on Hades, god mode on Control, the invincibility glitch on Hollow Knight, or you got Infallible on Fall Guys back when it was glitchable...then it's up to you if you want to count those or not. Hacking or other cheating that can be determined through timestamps will of course be removed and not count and you are subject to being reported to PSNProfiles mods, but platinums earned through glitches and exploits will be counted.
  • Some websites differ in their difficulty ratings for the same game. For example, Resident Evil Village is listed as a 5/10 on PSNProfiles, but a 7/10 on PlatPrices. Using Resident Evil Village for either your 5 or 7 is acceptable, just not both. Like you cannot do the PS4 version as your 5 and the PS5 version as your 7. Each game needs to be unique.
  • If you find a rating on a site that is X.5 or X.X then you can count it as either/or. So say you find a game that is rated as 3.5/10, then you can count it as either your 3 or your 4. This will happen a lot on playstationtrophies with ultra difficult games since the community vote method ensures a game can be 9.X but will almost certainly never be voted as a pure 10/10. In the case of a game that is 9.1+/10, you can count it as a 9 or a 10.
  • pM8LUDn.png
  • Do NOT argue with others in the comments about their difficulty ratings. A moderator of the event can ask them for a link to prove their ratings, but if there's a link that shows the rating, please don't argue that the game is easier or harder than what they have listed.

Process:

  1. To sign up for the event, just comment here. It's best to comment a list of games you want to go for. Do some research on difficulty ratings of games you want to play and look up a few 7/10, 8/10, 9/10 and 10/10 games to see if you want to commit to this challenge. It will not be easy. That said, even if you provide a list of games you want to do, you are never locked into those games. You can change any game, any time. Also, its perfectly ok to plan from the beginning to only go for a bronze, silver or gold tier. There's a world of difference between a 9/10 game and a 10/10 game so if you'd like to participate in the challenge but not stress over going all the way, that's ok!
  2. As you platinum a unique game from each difficulty level, post it here to update us. Of course this means there will be a lot of posts for 1/10 games, but that's fine. You don't have to post every game if you want to skip posting about the lower difficulty games, but you are welcome to. If you've already posted a game from one difficulty rating, say a 5/10, then you platinum another 5/10 game...don't post the second one. One game per rating please.
  3. When you complete a tier, please tag me in a comment and I will add your name to the completed tiers section!

The tiers for completing the Platinum Difficulty Challenge 2022 are:

Profile / Username - Date Completed / Post Link - Hardest Game Completed (Rating)

Platinum ALL 10 difficulty ratings completed

Gold Any 9 difficulty ratings completed

Silver Any 8 difficulty ratings completed

Bronze Any 7 difficulty ratings completed

This challenge has been modified, but the original idea credit goes to PlatinumBro.

Do the games I have finished before signing up ( in 2022) count for this? Example: I finished Tomb Raider ps4 3/10 on May 1st. While I still havent signed up, just checking some stuff before I choose to do this.

Well in a beautiful turn of events, a game that I completed earlier this year finally got a difficulty rating - and a beautiful 7/10 that is. Ender Lilies Quietus of the Knights

List 1

List 2

1/10

2/10

3/10

4/10 - Batman Arkham Knight

5/10 - Yakuza 4 Remastered

6/10 - Sinner Sacrifice for Redemption

7/10 - Ender Lilies Quietus of the Knights

8/10 - Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite

9/10

10/10

This was also my very first platinum of 2022 and it was a very good game. I think I rated it at a 6/10 though, despite the completion rating this game is no joke. A pretty good Metroidvania game I would say!

Now, I posted this score from the metagame.guide site. It's abit weird that the difficulty is slapped there without much detail. I know that site was mentioned before on this thread, if it's not valid let me know :D

Still waiting guides for Shadow Man Remastered, KoFXV, Treasures of the Aegean, Eldest Souls and Curse of the Dead Gods in the hope that I can put them here xD I somehow managed to play quite a few of guide-less games this year.

That's awesome man :) I'm amazed you platinum'd 5 games this year that don't / didn't have ratings lol

metagame.guide is ok to use as a source. Some of their stuff is a little suspect, but whatever. I mean, if anyone wants to use Terminator: Resistance as their 7/10 based on that site...they technically can...but considering every other site out there has it as a 2/10...you might get roasted in a few comments lol

Hahah yeah I won't always use this site since I too find it a little too "suspect", LMAO at that 7/10 Terminator, that's abit too much xD .

But honestly I do feel that Ender Lilies could be considered a 7/10, it really requires quite some heavy work and can be frustrating at times (bullshit nonstop poison areas and 1 shot monsters).

Is it possible to substitute a more difficult platinum for an easier one?  E.g. I don't have anything rated 1/10 in my library, but do have a 2/10 and lots of 3/10s.

No sorry. Each difficulty must be done, including the easiest ones. However, if something you have showing as a 2 can be found as an average of a community rated poll as 1.1 to 1.99 or less then you could count it as a 1.

This list here: https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/topic/203169-collected-ps4-trophy-difficulty-ratings/

It's a great list but only goes up through November 1st 2018. I wish they'd kept maintaining it.

Welcome to the challenge and congratulations on hitting Bronze tier on your first post!

My recommendations based on quality of the games would be for an 8 Elden Ring and for a 9 Returnal.

However, you could also switch Cod Cold War to either an 8/10 or a 9/10 then do another 7. Up to you.
