I finally managed to get through the dreaded Nightmare coop mode in Doom II and I gotta say: if Doom 1's nightmare mode was bs, Doom II was bs with extra farts on top.

The amount of star aligning luck to get through most of the levels is bonkers insane and the infamous level 29 was the worst of them all, had to buy a new player 2 controller (if anyone recalls I broke my other one (by accident) doing the nightmare run in Doom 1) just to change up tactics on that level and even then it almost made zero to no difference at all.

Glad this one is over... Gonna play some Hades to relax myself after this.

A nice bit of progress made since my last update! Now I’m down to my final two games in order to complete the challenge! I’m thinking Unravel for my 3/10 and I’d like to check @Rebourne07 whether I could use I Am Bread for my 10/10? The community poll on .Org rates the game a 10/10 even though the guides rate it a 9!

So, I'm gonna make an executive decision here and say I Am Bread should be counted as a 10/10. Here's why...

 

It's the average that counts on community polls, not the highest voted number even though the highest voted number is by far 10

 

So the pure average of these is 8.90...which would be an 8 or a 9...not a 10.

 

But the thing is...as you can see some troll voted a 1. If you take that vote out entirely...it becomes a 9.17 which is a 9 or a 10

 

So I think we can say I Am Bread qualifies as a 10. I'd like to hear some other opinions on this logic though cause I definitely don't want to open a can of worms of throwing out every outlier we don't like...because the objectivity of ratings needs to be preserved. Anyone have any objections to allowing I Am Bread as a 10?

Appreciate it dude! Obviously I’m all for your decision because I want to use the game! ?

 

However, if people are not in favour overall - just tag me and I’ll select another 10/10 from my backlog, it’s no problem at all! I’ll be playing IAB anyway for the UR event, it just works out handy if I can get a two for one here! ?

 

That said, I objectively agree with the reasoning behind why you’re allowing IAB as a 10. If we ignore the troll then the community rating sits above 9 on average.

So I completed Ape Escape last night while trying to relax and I managed to speed through it in under six hours despite the janky controls. (I can't do a double jump Sky Chaser to save my little pansy [bleep]. ) Great game and thank goodness for Rewind as I would have Game Over'd a lot because I kept falling into bottomless pits. X_X

 

I might just cheese Wild Arms if it has the same rewind feature although it's a turn-based RPG. But right now I have other things to do.

Holy cow, that was an experience and a half. Normal difficulty wasn't too bad all things considered - although there were still a lot of deaths - but Akumu mode and the one-hit kills was a whole different story. I almost gave up on quite a few occasions, my huge struggles with Chapter 2 (before getting the cool weapons) were a particular low point, but managed to get through the ordeal eventually, thanks to mostly sensible and occasionally generous checkpoints - it could have been a lot worse!

 

One of those games which I'll look back in a few weeks and say "I did that. Cool", however for now I'll stick to rocking backward and forward and crying in the corrner of a darkened room - after checking for zombies of course - and thanking my lucky stars it's over. I'd still recommend it though, an enjoyable game.

I haven’t updated here in a long time, mainly because all the games I’ve been playing end up being a 4 or 5. I’m almost done with the platinum for Red Dead Redemption which will be my 7.

 

I’m also playing a game for another event, Death end re; Quest which is apparently an 8 if you play on hard mode according to this guide. I am playing on hard mode, but it still seems like a bit of a cheaty game for this event. So I’ll leave the verdict of whether it counts to you all.

Congratulations to @kinnyman on Gold tier! Good luck on whatever 9 you choose. I highly recommend Returnal. If you want something easier, I suggest looking up The Witness and looking into the glitches that can make that easier. Still counts as a 9 either way.
