Platinum Difficulty Challenge 2022 (CLOSED)

I've decided on doing Telltale's The Walking Dead as my 1/10!

 

So far, my list comprises of:

Persona 5 Royal (2/10)

Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing (4/10)

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (5/10)

Blazblue: Chronophantasma (6/10)

I want in, waited until I had a solid idea of what games I want to do.  List (links with proof of difficulty) will be in order of difficulty to make numbering easy:

Question - are the games supposed to be completed in order or can they be completed in whatever order we want? Only asking because some of the higher difficulty games I want to pick are ones I’m using in current events that are already active, so I may complete those first.

 

Also, what is the consensus on Devil May Cry 3?
 

It’s only listed as a 6/10 here on PSNP, but the aggregate polls on PST based on player votes has it rated as a 9/10 so I’m wondering if this game is eligible for a 9 despite the large disparity?

You can use Devil May Cry 3 as a 9 as long as you can link to a guide that states it's 9/10

Updated my list a little because I have decided to do them in order.

 

Dropped Zone of the Enders 2 as my 3/10 and 99vidas as my 4/10.

 

Added Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle as my new 3/10 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II as my new 4/10.

Couple of changes to my earlier picks, partly due to picking up a cheap second hand copy of The Walking Dead as a Christmas present to myself during my gift shopping and partly due to deciding to finally tackle some of the uncompleted games on my profile over the next few months.

 

Listed in difficulty order, all PSNProfiles except #10 (PlatPrices).

 

 

Doubtful I'll be making much more progress on ACO over the next week, time is not my friend. Roll on 2022!!

I've done a lot of gaming over the past week and am now confident I can get 5(!) Platinums on the first of January. I'll get them on that date and sync my PS3 ones to the server so they will be clearly visible to everyone if you search for my account here on PSNProfiles. It feels kinda awesome to be halfway done with the challenge on the first day of the year lmao. I'm trying to find other games to add to my list:

 

Telltale's The Walking Dead (1/10)

Persona 5 Royal (2/10)

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing (4/10)

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (5/10)

Persona 4 Arena (10/10)

 

I can get the first 5 games on the first of January, but I'm expecting Persona 4 Arena to take a lot longer to complete. I've seen a lot of other people post that they will be doing it for their 10/10 Platinum, so I thought I'd do it, too. Good luck to everyone!

I’m definitely going to participate because it’s a fun challenge and a good way to clear my backlog a little. 
One question though: is there an easy way to find a list with a specific difficulty? I’m having trouble finding a suitable 8/10 game.

The only thing I really found was this list here on PST. It’s incomplete, but still has hundreds of games on there to choose from.

 

The links appear to have mostly died since they redid the site, so you’ll have to look them up individually on PST forums, PSNP, or platprices to verify.

I've dropped Persona 4 Arena as my 10/10 because of the stupid region locking that prevents it from playing on my PS3, so I've replaced it with Persona 4 Arena Ultimax as my 7/10. The following is my semi-complete list:

Ya I don't know how they rate them. Though I suppose it's all subjective.

If you're still looking for suggestions, both XBlaze games will take longer than that if you don't skip dialogue. Same goes for Doki Doki Literature Club Plus.
