PS5's Recent Players List Displaying PS4 Recent Players

4 posts in this topic

I own a PS5 and a PS4 Pro, both connected to the same network in different rooms of the house.  When I play Fall Guys or Battlefront on PS4, they show up as recent players (listed under: Played Together) accurately on my PS5.  When I play the same games on my PS5, they don't show up in "Played Together", only my PS4 recent players are still showing.  None of the recent players on any game I play on PS5 show up (i.e. Destiny 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Hardware Rivals, etc.).

I got my PS5 this past February and is setup as the primary system and have no other known issues with it.  I Googled this issue and came up blank.  Anyone have any thoughts about why this is occurring?  It's weird because I'm using the exact same games for both systems.  Any help is appreciated, thank you.

The PS5's additional UI elements (like social features) are pretty slack, so I'd say it's a software issue that'll be fixed eventually (probably).

Thanks for the reply @Helyx.  I'll continue to research this and maybe even contact Sony at some point.  It's obviously not a critical need but certainly annoying I can't see who I played with since that's my primary console I play on now.

Thanks again!

PS5's U.I is kinda not intuitive. It feels like they overcompensated in trying to dumb it down for normies. PS3's menu was da best.
