Finished Laser League few days ago. Nothing hard here because everything is easily boostable. The most annoying task was "Block xy attacks" because those block challenges are incosistent. Whatever still an ok game. The lesson which I've learned after this game is NOT to play an only MP game for trophies because I was bored af and I don't want to do those kinda games anymore and I want to switch Don't Die, Mr. Robot! with Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator (add me if someone want to boost the online trophies)

Gameplay wise it won't make it any easier unfortunately. It just makes the game actually playable haha. Using R1 & R2 just feels so uncomfortable.

Since you are one of the greater Rythmgamers I thought I simply had to ask for advice in those regards...

 

I basically used the default control scheme for the majority of the game since I was already used to it before realising how awkward it is and I found myself using Freq mode for the later songs because it seemed a lot easier to read what was coming up. 

With the expert mode campaign I found the score requirements to get 10 bars required in the final set to be a bit of an issue with the faster sections. So I had to plan which lane i'd be in at what time so I could avoid as many difficult sections as I could.

When it came to super difficulty there's a nice exploit you can use for the songs you're having a hard time clearing. In super difficulty your life bar doesn't replenish but when you're on your final bit of health and you miss, you won't die but you'll instead have a flashing red screen, then if you miss the section after that you'll fail. So you can essentially stay in easier lanes for longer by purposefully missing a note, hitting the next section to avoid failing and this will basically make it so you can avoid harder sections to clear songs easier.

Definitely not something you should marathon like I did, felt like I was gonna pass out slowly crawling through the settlements with those ungodly high spawn rates, but for the first while, it was actually fun. As for whats next at this point I don't know anymore, probably just a break.

First Tier 1 Completed - Hunt Showdown 

 

Difficulty: 5/10 

Time: 170 Hours 

Enjoyment: 10/10 

 

First game on my list completed and it's the main reason I haven't made any progress whatsoever as I've been absolutely hooked for the past month. Hunt showdown is a  gem that deserves more attention as there's nothing else like it although it does share some similarities with other online shooters, especially the battle royal genre but i still wouldn't classify it as one just because of how different it is (came out way before the craze). What makes it stand out is that you drop in with whatever loadout you decide to purchase then once the match begins, your goal isn't to be the last team standing but to extract with bounties you can collect by killing bosses after gathering enough clues to locate the boss, defending that location until the bounty is ready to be picked up and trying to extract with it or die trying. Sounds rather easy but every other team in your match has the same exact goal and you'll either run into them on the way to find the clues or once you're defending a boss lair as it's marked on the map for every other player to see, so is the team holding the bounties as well.  It's rather hard-core pvp/pve as failing to extract or getting killed will result in you losing your character, traits and loadout so it's best to play it smart but that's also what makes this one of the most intense online games I've ever played. Sound design is also some of the best as every footstep, gun shot, sound trap or any sort of noise in general can be heard which will lead to you or other players position. There's a lot more to the game but I've rambled long enough... get yourself a group and give it a shot, it's quite a unique experience.

 

The platinum is a bit long but very straightforward, you'll get majority of the trophies just by playing. I would recommend playing this on ps5 as there's a patch for 60fps with upgraded visuals which was much needed as it looked ashy as hell on ps4 with massive pop In, 30 fps and low textures. This is one of those rare games I'll keep playing way beyond the platinum.

Aside from a couple day break to play some No Man's Sky, I have been plugging away at this for the past 11 days and finished it up yesterday netting 12 new UR. I had not started it, and after reading a lot of accounts of how boosting was a pain, trying to get the right maps, dealing with the idle timer, etc, I decided to see how easy it was to solo. Turns out its very easy to solo. The AI is usually pretty easy to beat, and you have to play so many matches for xp anyways that even if some of the specific challenges go slower you will still have them all done before max level is reached.

I actually rather enjoyed it. I saw my skills improving rapidly and really enjoyed the game play loop. Which is not something that would have happened if I boosted it. I am actually considering downloading the F2P PC version to continue playing. If anyone else is playing this I encourage you to try just playing it to see if you like it / improve your skills.

And if anyone is curious, I went for the Blade class for the class mastery trophy. The 75 revival blocks was not too bad for blade because the revive can actually happen and it still counts as a block. The only thing that matters is that the kill occurs while your opponent is moving toward their downed ally.

 

This is my first plat for this event, and my new rarest plat over all (previously Hot Shots Golf World Invitational at 1.82%). That said, I am actually glad its not sub 1% anymore as I think my first sub 1% should be more meaningful to me. I will be going for Fall Guys next, as I have been putting it off far too long.

Swapped out Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for Brawlout, which is done!

2nd game completed some of you probably saw me posting in the Platinum Difficulty event that i got the of Victor Vran a few days ago but it took several more hours to complete 2 dlcs...

 

Victor Vran is a good action hack-and-slash type game in which a man named Victor Vran kills monsters in various missions in one small kingdom far from his home. The setting is a bit victorian age like but with monsters like big spiders and vampires it feels unique and diverse. And there is a lot to do for all trophies. The base game has 41 missions and in each you must complete 10 specific challenges plus a few misc trophies to kill enemies in different manners. SImilar in the Motorhead DLC just on a smaller scale (160 challenges in total vs 410 in the base game). The 2nd dlc (Fractured World) is simpler, only 5 randomly generated dungeons fighting to fight but for whatever reason you have to fight on three different following days at least to complete the story.

 

I played the game mostly with 2 friends but for some challenges we decided to split up because the enemies become stronger if playing in coop. But for the hardest part we played together with heroes on easy difficulty and after almost finishing a level or dungeon simply changed our heroes to Hard + Hardcore to get all the rewards without any struggle who wants to fight through 50 floors full of enemies (hundreds instead of dozens compared to the other missions) on Hard + Hardcore? Well i don't

 

Besides this i played a few hours of Zeno Clash 2, Hohokum and Yakuza 4 but only a small amout of trophies were unlocked so far...

Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence

Fun: 8/10

 

I found out about this game time ago, and it was quite crazy that it would sell at 60€ (I think even nowadays it's the same), which is a massive robbery. So I would have just skipped the game but hopefully it is available for PSNow. Unfortunately it's the ps3 version which has some annoying lag and several actions result in a pain to settle.

The game itself is a strategy game settled in the feudal Japan, you can play as any clan (even a customed one) and the goal is to win the war by either becoming the Shogun (by conquering several enemy castles) or wiping out all the other clans. Plenty of options are available leaving the player a variety of strategies to accomplish their goal, as well as several scenarios and quests.

The trophy list is very easy due to the fact that you can fully customize the game difficulty, making yourself OP so the other clans have no chance against you, and no trophy is locked from that nor there is any regarding a specific difficulty. So all that is left is some grind. I think I spent about 80h, hard to say since I had fun with this game, hopefully there is a decent trophy guide available, it has some mistakes (also a few annoying ones) but it is still a valid help, it doesn't help that the game has some spelling errors regarding Castles/people's names, making a few quests difficult to figure out, as well as several people that have long japanese names that differ by 1-2 letters, making it so easy to confuse one person with another.

 

 

I don't know what I'm going to do next. Maybe I will finally put more effort into passing the infamous Rope minigame in Final Fantasy 9 (I spent 10h on it so far). Or I will go back to IHRB or Battlezone.

An "On the rails shooter" with some light Bullet hell elements with Redneck shooting mutated animals while collecting multiple collectibles on multiple different paths.( each level requiring up to 5 playthroughs ,which is the reason for the Urs alongside the difficulty)
Difficulty was increased in an update after launch, so I would give it a 7/10 difficulty with a 7/10 fun rating as well.
Not as hard as the 1st one ,but definitely in the harder category.
Hoping to clear the first Dick Wilde game for tier 2 hopefully, I might even get the NA stacks when they go on sale.

Gungrave Vr

Very Emo Teen shooter, both 3d and 2d gameplay, with a few bosses.
Not the best game I played ,but also not the worst.
4 Hours for few Urs is fine by me.
4/10 difficulty and also 5/10 fun rating.
Hopefully clearing more of my tier in the next week.

So I know I said, not until I platinum Bleed, but I have a little story to share with ya'll.

So last week, I finished Easy Arcade mode.  Not to bad, took like 5 or 6 tries.  Generally just caused by silly little mistakes.  Overall, finished it with about a third of my life bar left.  Then I went through and S Ranked every single boss.  Most of these were fine, honestly.  In order to not get too burnt out I sprinkled in some easier games, and practiced maybe a half hour on Bleed a day before work.  Usually only like 15 minutes, actually.  Today though, I've put in 7 tries on a normal mode run, and I am getting significantly better at it.  I'm getting more consistent getting through the first level without taking any damage.  I might get hit once in the second level.  On level 3 I've made it through a couple times without getting hurt.

Level Four is when everything goes out the window.  While the first few levels play with tight corridors, projectiles are generally kept to a minimum.  On Level Four (which used to be my favorite level), they double down on the bullet hell stuff, and thanks to a tunnel you have to dodge periodically, you have to place yourself in very specific spots to avoid damage.  My best run was actually ruined cause I didn't comprehend that there was a giant flashing hazard sign on the screen, for whatever reason.  It's there to warn you to get low.  So the first time I made it all the way to that level without taking damage, I got stuck taking damage from the tunnel, and died almost immediately.  fortunately, she takes damage, and is stuck.  So I got to watch my hard work for the past 20 minutes burn to the ground slowly.

Anyhow, I took a break, came back a couple hours later, and my first try was my best yet.  I was still getting hit more than I'd like, but I made it to the last level.  I was even able to get to the penultimate boss encounter.  Then, something silly happened.  A barrage of bullets surrounded me, and bam.  30 minutes of my work gone.  Not gone, since I was able to get that far, and I was able to get past some of my problem areas without getting hit (or getting hit very little.  But damn.  It stung.  Or as Wryn (The Bleed Girl) put it so acutely after the fact...

 

The game is an expert at kicking you when you're down.

I'm gonna practice more tomorrow, but I feel like the 15 hours in the trophy guide is a baseline for people who get the hang of this a bit better than I did.  I'm expecting closer to 40-50, personally.

Probably gonna start working on something else as well to keep my sanity.  Maybe something like Bound.  I'm probably gonna drop OlliOlli2 cause I genuinely couldn't care less about it.  Maybe by my next update Bleed will be done and I can find something to sacrifice OlliOlli for.

I got my first UR plat of the year. Like I said previously the game was super easy and only UR since it was on PS+. Update for the few other games:

Star Ocean - finished the first bonus dungeon, finished the bunny races, finished the arena, currently at 50% battle trophies (need 80%), and currently at floor 145/211 I believe in Sphere 211.

Amnesia Collection - finished my hard play through of Alien: Isolation and got One Shot as well. Didn't manage to not kill any humans so I'll need to play the game again but I can do that on novice. I might start The Dark Descent before doing that however.

LittleBigPlanet 3 - I will probably start playing this soon just to get the online trophies out of the way in case the servers go offline again.

 

I started the year at 146 URs and now I'm sitting at 155. It feels nice.

Thanks dude! That's how I feel about racing games; I struggled to plat the famously easy WRC 3 lol.

 

Regarding P4AU: I'm only planning to buy it if there will be new content, which seems unlikely. I think it's a great game, but I don't see the point in re-buying a game that I already have. I see on your profile that you're a Persona fan. The story is quite good in Ultimax. I highly recommend it. ?

Yeah, Persona is a great series! P5R is one of my favourite games of all time, it's one of the few games to make me truly wish there was more when the credits rolled, what a journey that game was! Also finished P3FES last year, that game's aged a bit but the story near the end is also fantastic.
As for Ultimax, I just wish they ported Persona 4 Golden first! ? They port the dancing spinoff and Ultimax but not the main game, why Atlus! ?

But in any case, best of luck with your other UR's, you've got this man!

Ultimate Chicken Horse is a party game where you and up to 3 others choose a level that has a start and a finish line, but the obstacles needed to pass through the level are up to the players (you guys can make things harder or easier), it's a really fun game that never gets boring and repetitive. I had played a lot of this game on PC before and I'll probably play even more (if my friends want to), getting the platinum was more like "Hey, I want this in my collection" kinda feeling. Everything is doable by yourself if you have three controllers or another device to play (as crazy as this may sound, this game does support full crossplay), there're a lot of modifiers that you can put in the match to make things faster. Getting the platinum in less than 10 hours shoudn't be hard to anyone.

An enjoyable izometric Roguelike that took a while to complete. Rather challenging but mostly grindy, it was a pretty fun experience nonetheless.

Next on the agenda will be helping my partner with their last Mastery 2 challenge before moving on to Blade Mastery 4 and 5.
