For Action Henk, I just don't feel like playing a time trial platformer right now. So I decided to swap that for Drawful 2 which I has already had on my list before the event started. I only have one trophy left in Drawful 2, the UR Drawn Out. Being as this is the ultra rare cleanup it feels appropriate to add even if its just one trophy.

 

With Vanquish I did give it a good try, but ultimately I just stopped having fun with the challenges. But even worse IMO is that making progress in a challenge stopped feeling satisfying. I was getting more satisfaction doing my daily chores then playing Vanquish. If its not fun or satisfying what is the point? And honestly it was making me not want to play games at all. Making me question if I was spending my time wisely. So I am swapping in Sportsfriends instead, which just barely qualifies for this event with its single UR trophy Showoff sitting at a spicy 4.99%. It's a short, much more light hearted mini-game collection which feels like something I need right now. I have been wanting to get its trophies for a while, and if I wait any longer it might leave the ultra rare territory so declaring it now seemed the smart choice.

 

No bonus points for me this quarter but eh, whatever. I am in this for the motivation to clean up UR's. I have no illusions of winning.

Another game completed for my current Tier 1 list. This time is Vanquish. I loved the heck out of this game back when I played it during the PS3 days. A sci-fi, balls-to-the-walls action game with frantic, fast-paced gameplay, exhilarating moments, and enough explosions to satisfy even the most diehard Michael Bay fan inside us. Had a blast playing through this one and will develop my experience on it on a thoughtful status update during this week. That being said, most of the game ain't that difficult except for the Tactical Challenges. And out of those, Challenge 6, as always, easily takes the cake. That shit is hard, hella hard. I was able to beat the first 5 challenges no sweat since I still remembered most of the strategies I used. But Challenge 6 took dozens and dozens of tries until I finally nailed it out. And just like the first time, my heart was beating like crazy and about to get out of my chest when I finally was down to just one frenzied boss and barely any ammo. Quite the adrenaline rush it gave me, you know. ^^

 

 

Next up, I think I'll be focusing on BBCSE.

And damn, I have to finish NFS 2015 too. @.@

Update:

 

Always together, forever apart. That's the slogan of Entwined which I have finished few weeks ago. In this rhytm game you are controlling an orange fish and a blue bird which love each other but they can"t be together. At least of the beginning of every level.

 

You control the fish with the left stick and the bird with the right stick (Like in Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons) and your task is to collect orbs but you only get those orbs when you are flying threw different objects. There are, orange, blue and green objects and in the green objects you have to be fly together. For each right pattern you get orbs and this will fill up your "love" meter and if it's full you will be together and the fish and bird merge to a dragon.

 

There is a "Story" mode which I have explained above and there is a "Challenge" mode where you have to get a specific high score to unlock the next stage/element. 

 

The hardest trophies on this one is to unlock all stages and get a high score of 300 points on any stage. 

 

And I want to swap Lumo with OlliOlli 2. I'm almost done with the game only RAD Mode left.

 

My Tier 1 will be finished after this. I will think about my next tier list and PS: @Copanele? Apotheon was a great hidden gem. Thanks to you I started and platinumed this game. ?

Finished nhl 15 today it wasn't that bad 4/10 but near the end I started getting bored only thing i needed was 50 million in career so I just  simmed through the rest of the matches only played if i really needed to. Happy I'm done with it now

This hidden gem is a game similar to Diablo (according to some people), you will have to navigate through different areas, fighting lots of monsters and quite a pathetic variety of bosses since plenty of them are just the regular enemies powered up. The customization of the equipment is vital for success, in fact some hours will be spent solely for that.

Just like any RPG, we have a duplication glitch, which is quite a life safer here since you can use this glitch to greatly improve to the max any weapon, armor and powers and all of the passives they may offer. So you skip an otherwise tremendous grind to get a decent gear, and can afford to do extra improvements as well.

 

The 100% is pretty long, as you have to clear all of the challenges (5 per area), and also the elite challenges which are, in part, quite tough and took me plenty of time and frustration to clear. Same for the 2 DLCs (apart from the challenges for the second dlc, but that still requires to finish any 50 challenges), which also want you to clear their stories on Hard Hardcore, where the hardcore status does not allow to transfer gear from another character unless you die (because that removes the hardcore). This would make things incredibly difficult, but hopefully you can backup your save in case you die and the duplication glitch will be vital, these 2 things make the hardcore not too bad. But if you are lucky to have someone who can carry you, you can let them do all the work for you while you stay safe.

I recommend the game, the only downside is that there is one online trophy that requires 3 other people.

 

 

My trials fusion progress seems to be going well, I have beaten 6 developer times so far (you can exceed the time by about 50ms hopefully, I guess it happens due to a minimal lag while connected to the servers?), although I am now at the hardest of them all. I love that I feel like I'm not improving at all ??.

In the meantime, I may start Leo's Fortune and swap it for Battlezone later, all is up to whatever I finish first.

5th game completed and it's Steep.

 

 

This has been on my "want-to-play" list for a long time. Like many others, I got this game from PS+ and wanted to buy the DLCs later once they went on sale. That never happened and in fact, one of the DLCs (Road To Olympics) got permanently delisted. Thankfully, I managed to buy a code from a third party website. After that, I still waited for Season Pass content to go on sale which happened earlier this year -- first sale after 2 years.

 

Now about the game: the difficulty surprised me because I expected something a lot harder. The hardest trophy is to obtain 115 gold medals from challenges. For some reason, this trophy popped at 112 golds. Since there's 118 challenges, you have certain wiggle room which allows you to skip the arguably hardest challenges in the game.

 

The DLCs are very easy compared to the main game and they took me only around 5 hours combined.

Well it did in 2019, the year it was in PS+. One thing I have learned in the PS4 generation is to buy DLC the first time you see it for a decent price, because as you mentioned, it might be years before it's on sale again.

 

As for the trophy popping at 112 instead of 115, I have heard of a few people who also had this happen. I think it has something to do with the 3 extra events the patched in at some point. But I don't think anyone ever figured it out entirely. In any case I had to so 115/118 when I got the plat.

If you put Jurassic Worl Evo 2 on your list before it went from UR to Very Rare, you are still fine and can complete the game for the event, afaik.

Yep as Mori said, if you signed up an UR game, it still counts even if it gets Very Rare during the event. Of course, this is entirely up to you, you can swap it if you wish?

Haven't done anything super tricky in a while, so actually motivating myself to sit down and crack out another 50 attempts at challenge 6 was a lot harder than normal. Wish the challenge over the whole plat was a lot more even though, maybe if you had to beat 'God Hard' challenge 6 wouldn't stick out so much from the rest of the game in terms of difficulty. Anywho, fun game and plat, just wish it took me the projected 3 days instead of 2 weeks.

Finished my last stack of Starwhal during the night to complete my Tier 1. It's a game that's for the most part just done afk while turboing the different grinds, but after I went through the challenges really fast this time, I decided to check the fastest achievers list and saw that I had a good chance to snatch the top spot. So I spent a bit of time manually grinding to speed up the process and left my console on overnight for the last bit of turbo (which I usually never do, as my consoles are in my bedroom), so managed to get fastest achiever. It's not a very good time at all though, so I'm sure if one of you guys are interested, you should be able to get it done no problem.

I also managed to finally finish Hustle Kings this morning. Already had everything else done for a while, but just had some daily challenges remaining for my last trophy. Overall it's a pretty fun game, and not too challenging either, as you can just abuse chalks and other items to make everything easier. The online is a bit of a grind though (over half my playing time) and also has an 8 player trophy, so those were a bit of a slog to get through.

Tanuki is basically Ninja Senki DX if he overdosed on steroids. The insane misc trophies aren’t just “do x on insane” they basically want you to master that difficulty in different ways. Danny has played it more than me but I’ve beaten insane and I can say 3 months probably won’t happen hahaha. 
 

The hardest trophy is doing the game without missing a shuriken on insane. On insane you’re pretty much spamming the shuriken button for crowd control because the screen can get filled up really fast. Having to count the shots for each enemy and not missing with their wild movements is such a ridiculous ask. Let’s not even go there with the bosses and their massive health increases. The final boss also has a misleading hitbox and it’s so easy to miss if you die and respawn without the upgraded shuriken. add the pressure of getting there without missing and you’re in for an amazing time lol.

 

Theres a lot of other crazy ones like the insane speedrun, 1M score and panda no deaths, but if you know how the shuriken trophy truly is then that’s enough for most people to turn their heads. Good luck for anyone that dedicates themselves to the game. It’s really in the same ballpark as DJMAX, TxK and Crypt. Here’s a link with more insight on the other miscs if anyone cares about it. 
 

Edit: I guess I’ll also add that 3 months is probably doable if you dedicate all of your time to it. Due to the nature of the game it would be really tight, especially with the other games on top.

It is nice to see Tanuki Justice getting a spotlight. This game needs some active players going for it to help find strategies. I am currently not playing it but will be making a return later on. I wrote a few things a while back but a lot of info is still missing so I will be adding a few things.

 

One thing I really need to warn about is that the insane speedrun is maybe impossible but more testing is required.

well, i didnt actually finish lotf (which probably isnt actually a loss) mostly due to depression & playing pc games instead, but whatever. 

i'm not gonna change anything yet for one reason, and that's that there's only two games on the new quarter i will even consider, bread & mahvel, and bread's dumb so im not worrying about that yet. for mahvel though the only thing im actually missing is the online, because boosting it sucks ass, i remember actually trying to do it "legit" instead & those venom/sigma shitters (mostly venoms) just killed all my mood for it.  so if anyone both has a real good way to boost and/or wants to it let me know.

otherwise eh, bad genres and/or look like shit on the rest.

A little update: My PS4 can read discs again. All except one: Crash Bandicoot 4. Makes me wonder if there is a difference in disc quality. The CB4 disc is almost transparant, way more than my other discs. 
 

Anyway.
 

Back in are Dragon Quest Heroes II and Devil May Cry 5. I finished the DQH II story in 40 hours. Just did a post game grind of 60 hours. So I’m now 100 hours in and now the actual grind, with a shitload of RNG, starts. I expect this to take also 100 hours. And with the Pure Pool grind of 100 hours I have 200 hours of stupid grinding ahead of me.. ?

I usually don't start games that have been recently released, since there may be bugged trophies, the game may be super glitchy (less likely for an indie though), and I'm a disaster in figuring out things myself (i won't play Kingmaker Pathfinder for this reason). I prefer to leave the honor of first achiever to someone else and do the game afterwards once some tips or exploits are being shared. So good luck to all those going for Tanuki, I myself will wait for awhile before starting that, also having Crypt, Koihime and Dirt Rally 2.0 scheduled for this year is enough already ?.

 

The second quarter is quite bad for me, since I have done half of those games already. I think I will just do Pix the Cat which should be a free UR game, while Amplitude belongs to a genre I am way too bad at to have a chance.
