Two new games done, Ground Zeroes and Fall Guys now both at 100%! Ground Zeroes was interesting for first few playthroughs and committing themselves to one map only really allowed the devs to make it detailed and full of stuff, so the separate missions don't feel old, but having to replay those missions 4-5 times each? Yeah, then it gets old. Especially those "mark all enemies" trials, ugh...

 

And Fall Guys is ofc the big topic since the launcher swap and thankfully with the legendary pattern in the featured shop, I can worry no longer whether FG devs are bullshitting with deleting trophies or not (they most likely are).

 

Also gonna swap out 7 Days to Die for Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exidus.

Game was really fun the things I didn't enjoy was the 7 playthroughs and getting 1000 kills with every weapon. It definitely deserves its 10/10 difficulty. Master ninja was very fun but challenging. the only chapter that almost broke me was ayanes chapter in the market place it took several attempts to get past it.

FINALLY! It's been 4 months and my first update on this thread. (If only I remembered to swap Resogun in within the 24 hour deadline )

 

Fantasy Strike is a F2P fighting game that has a sub 1% Platinum. That's the big draw with this game, I for one love fighting games so I played it for the enjoyment of trying out a new fighter and for the most part, it's a decent game with a simple and easy to learn gameplay loop. This is a great game to play if it's your first foray into the genre however...most of the offline content is behind a paywall and the online community is practically dead now. This game's biggest weakness is the absolutely pants performance on PS4, it kept crashing more than the bandicoot and the once infamous trophy of beating 50 opponents in Survival has been made easier thanks to an exploit that was found to keep rematching an online opponent to 'save' your progress.

 

Self boosting with 2 PS4's or in my case, 1 PS4 and 1 PS5 made this Platinum a breeze. I thought the frame rate drops and potential crashing could be alleviated if I played on PS5 and it just doesn't help. I had the game crash on me multiple times and it's a chore having to play up until the last enemies only to have the game crash on you and lose your progress. Honestly, the dumbest trophy was for beating 7 opponents in the daily challenge. Beating 7 opponents in a row sounds a lot easier than 50 opponents and it is, except the game crashed on me and I had to wait 24 hours to try again. You can't even use the player 2 exploit to back out and match up with your friend in an online lobby. So the game crashed on me twice during this daily challenge mode and I had to wait 2 days to pop the Plat. Nothing major, I know, but still very very annoying nonetheless.

 

Awesome Overwatch-like visuals and decent character designs were enough to make me try this game and I had some fun winning the few real matches I played in Ranked but I won't be going back to this.

 

I made a lot more progress by this time last year but I instead opted to play games I was in the mood for instead of prioritising UR games for this first quarter. Coming up, I see myself dropping whatever I'm playing if the Far Cry 2 servers come back up on PS3 and finishing the grind for the field manuals for good. I was 40% done with them and left it in the back-burner so i really hope Ubisoft brings back those servers one last time. I may be making some swaps but at the moment I'm just playing what I feel like playing and not focusing too much on UR games at the moment. I'm enjoying reading everyone's updates so keep those coming as it's great seeing everyone's progress and is a source of motivation for me!

Alright, I have made my decisions. Hopefully I actually play all of them! So here is my tier 2:

 

Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender DX (2.14%) - Progress: 80%

I started this in June 2021. I enjoyed the simplistic arcade nature of the game, but got roadblocked by the endless mode (mostly I just didn't want to practice). I keep meaning to finish it up before I open my copy of Astro Aqua Kitty so I am going to do that. I have three trophies left to get, two of which are ultra rare. Espresso Grande - Normal (2.25%) which requires you to reach wave 20 in endless mode. The difficulty ramps up extremely fast from wave 15 on, its gonna take some practice. And Ultra Kitty Saviour - Arcade Mode (3.36%) for saving all kittens in arcade mode. Normally you have to start from stage 1 if you die in arcade mode, but the game allows you to pause and continue, which means this is easily save-scummable. I expect no issues with this trophy.

 

LittleBigPlanet 3 [PS3] (2.66% / 1.01%) - Progress: 50%

On my quest to get all LBP trophies still so I gotta finish this at some point (and I need to buy a PS5 for Sackboy, RIP wallet). I do have the 3 online trophies so no worries there. This is probably the second easiest of the LBP plats to get after Sackboy. The only real roadblock is Ace Adventurer (3.99%) for acing all the levels, which I have done in 1, 2, and Vita at this point so I know what to expect and I these levels seem easier. The only other UR in the base game, A guy called Quest (3.32%), can be easily completed with a glitch on game version 1.0 so that won't be a problem. The concern for the 100% is the DLC's glitchy trophy Collector Extraordinaire (not UR) which sometimes does not pop. I will also have to recruit someone in real life to help me with one of the DLCs co-op levels as its simply impossible to do two handed. Unless I learn how to play with my feet that is.

 

Minecraft [PS3] (12.19% / 0.39%) - Progress: 0%

This is a case of 'Wait, this has UR trophies?'. I have previously done the Vita stack and I think it might have one ultra rare. I really was not expecting this stack to have any, but it has seven. One in DLC five, two in DLC seven, and four in DLC nine. As someone who has been playing Minecraft since the pre-alpha in 2009 on PC nothing here is challenging in the slightest to me. Should be a nice leisurely experience for me. Mostly just an excuse to knock out another game from my list of games with online trophies to get (its 80 games deep, I will never finish them all...). Seven basically free ultra rares in the process is nice.

 

Pix The Cat [Vita] (0.71%) - Progress: 47%

I looked into this when it was first announced as a quarterly game and when I saw that it had two online trophies I just went ahead and started it to at least knock those out. Those were not too bad to get, and the lab and nostalgia modes seem fairly easy to do, just time consuming. The real struggle will be getting the two million points on the arcades main board for CREME DE LA CREME (0.76%). That seems neigh impossible at the moment. My best score is 1.4M. It is just so damn easy to mess up. I will need to study some skilled players on youtube, and even then I am not confident I still have the reaction times needed. This may get swapped.

 

SoulCalibur V (2.73%) - Progress: 70%

Oh I have a love hate relationship with SoulCalibur. I love the gameplay, the designs (usually) and the lore, but boy do I hate how much I suck at it. I can just never seem to get good despite playing the series since SoulCalibur 2 on the gamecube. The only ultra rare other then the plat is Wind of Battle (3.61%) which is just a big grind of walking around. But even still, I remember struggling so hard in the quick battles that despite not being ultra rare those trophies are gonna feel like ultra rares to me. At least I have the online finished.

 

Star Wars: Squadrons (0.70%) - Progress: 66%

Absolutely loved this at launch. Put well over 100 hours into just the multiplayer, played exclusively in VR. I have already done all the multiplayer trophies. Even the grindy stuff like 1000 kills in dogfights came easy to me, I was getting 12-15 a match. The team score limit was 30 so I was dominating pretty hard. But for all that multiplayer I barely touched the single player having just played the prologue. Looking at the single player trophies it seems most can be done on easy difficulty so they should be pretty free UR's to get. The only really thing I am worried about is completing the campaign on ace difficulty for The Galaxy's Finest (Ace) (1.32%). And that is only a concern because I am probably quite rusty. But I usually get back into things fairly quickly. Looking forward to my first sub 1% plat as well.

 

Streets Of Rage 2 (2.63%) - Progress: 85%

An old playstation plus game. It's Streets of Rage 2 which is fairly iconic so not a whole lot to say here. I still need the ultra rare High Score (2.88%) for getting 800,000 points in hardcore. I will attemp the glitch to make it easier, but if I can't pull it off I will probably just abuse save states to brute force my way through the game. Mostly just need the motivation to clear this from the backlog.

TV Show King (1.59%) - Progress: 76% Back in the PS3 days they ran promotions every one or two weeks where a different small little PSN game would be a dollar. This was one of them. Just a budget trivia game, nothing special, but its been sitting unfinished far too long. Aside from some miscellaneous trophies I still have to do the ultra rare ME=1337² (2.27%) which asks you to complete a 9 round game getting every question correct. Now you can pause the game and look up answers, but there is no complete list on the web and some of the questions are dated with incorrect answers. So its kinda just luck if you get good questions or not.   WipEout 2048 (1.22% / 0.66%) - Progress: 43% So I have done the online in all three Wipeout games and I don't have any of the plats. This seems silly to me so that needs to change. Decided 2048 should be done first simply because it will likely be hard to go back to its lower framerate if I put too much time into HD or Omega collection. Elite passing the main campaign will be quite hard, and doing the HD and Fury campaigns for the DLC will be time consuming. Thankfully you can do the DLC on the easiest difficulty in this version unlike in HD and Omega collection. Hopeful that I am up to the challenge.   Yakuza 0 (4.29%) - Progress: 0% I have been meaning to play this since I got the plat for Kiwami as my 100th plat. I have almost 250 plats now, so clearly I have been putting it off. Honestly I hear lots of people debate if this is harder then Kiwami. But since I did Kiwami in about 90 hours which is significantly faster then most, did the car chase on the hardest difficulty in only 3-4 tries, and had little problems with mahjong (just spam the richii button) I am pretty confident. Just seems like its probably a bit more of a time sink compared to kiwami. Will start this very soon.

I am happy to announce that I've finally completed my first game from my tier 1!   It's Dauntless, a game I definitely wasn't planning on having as my first completion, but here we are. I also thought I would have made significantly more progress by now but hopefully I can finish my tier 1 at least. 

 

Soon after this game came out a couple friends tried to get me to play it with them but I wasn't really feeling it, you know? It sucked not taking their offer but I didn't like the game that much. Now, after some years the game has changed quite a bit, and most importantly, I changed my mind about it. So when they picked up the game again after dropping it for months I took the opportunity to play it with them. It was easier to get started with their help and knowledge and it was more fun, but I also played by myself a lot. I even completed most of the seasonal challenges and lots of missions not related to trophies. It really got me hooked for some weeks! Also, since launch they added a BUNCH of DLC trophies so there was lots to do.

 

I was going to play this at some point but I didn't expect it to be so soon. Oh well! It's done now. I think this will be one of those games that I come back to sometimes when I feel like playing something but not trophy hunting, like Rogue Company or Fall Guys. All from Epic Games, haha.

 

Moving on now, to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, since its online functionalities are to be shutdown by the 31st of May, as well as MGS V The Phantom Pain, since supposedly only its PS3 version will be shutdown by the same date, but I don't want to take any chances so I'll finish the PS4 version too, just to be sure. The Phantom Pain has no UR trophies so all this means is that after GZ I'll be spending a couple weeks on TTP and not working on another game from my tier 1.

Quite a free UR mine here.

This is a platform where you goal is to make and deliver soup, which, given the fact that it is more important than water, can be seen as the equivalent of the pizza IRL, so I will refer to this aspect using such food (that's how italians make things as well ?).

So, you start a level where you go around mining to collect materials and then build your factory, then you harvest ingredients to make your own farm area, and finally use 2 ingredients to create a pizza which you deliver through some rockets. Profit. It's quite easy since you can make the easiest pizza and beat the level with low effort, no need to go for fancy pizza at all.

A simple game and surely repetitive, but I didn't really felt those 35h spent, so I'd say it's an alright game, there is also a co-op mode which may make things funnier.

 

Easy platinum, but to be able to access to most of the trophies you have to make some progress in the solo mode first, that's why several trophies are UR. You will grind for several hours to collect all the pins, which ask various tasks such as Kill N (monster), Creat N pizza etc. lots of tasks involving pretty much everything you can do in the game. You also are forced to wait at least 10 days to get the platinum, since you need to play some challenges that rotate every 48h, and you need to do 20 of them (out of 5 available everytime) and 5 of one specific type.

 

 

Time to start Tier 2. I think I will do something not too much difficult for my platinum #400 milestone, since I want to finish my psnow games before the sub expires, so I won't bother with Crypt yet, I could go for Koihime but I don't know, I hate that game tbh.

Yea the online portion for the DLC’s will take a while to get through I’d imagine. Probably why some of the trophies are UR  due to the time investment??

I am so happy to finally be done with All-Mighty No.9. I put it on hold for a few months after realizing this game actually requires some effort and practice. Usually not a problem but this game is trash. I had fun with the Bossrush in under 20 minutes, the rest was just getting it done, 3 playthroughs on normal, hard and hyper, misc stuff and all challenges with the last challenge being a no-death run of the entire game. One of Beck's (great name for the protagonist btw, lol) abilities, a rocket-launcher, is OP as hell and turns the difficulty into a joke. I died more to enviromental hazards (one-shot kills) than actual enemies.

The boosting group for Battlefield 1 also managed to come together today and we knocked out the remaining Operation trophies which require 20 players to start the match.  Randoms also joined and I was able to play my last couple rounds.

 

Battlefield 1 is a great game and I cannot understand how Dice went from this to Battlefield V, including all the "controversy". Next to Hell Let Loose, BF1 nails it with the atmosphere and overall game flow of massive battles. Unfortunately I didnt play the game sooner, so there were only a handful of servers full at any time and not all maps were in the rotations. Doing the challenges to unlock all the different weapons variants for the DLC trophies was actually super fun and I only had to boost one melee weapon. Thanks to @Exhuman1988 for joining me on the fun. Now onto Squadrons.

This sounds interesting, but since I want my milestones to be UR , I'm not sure I could get many UR trophies/ in a row/in a short amount of time.

Also, I might be dumb, but one of the event structures says "fully completing the game is mandatory! That involves full Platinum + DLC". So, you can't just get the base game trophies and be done? You've to do the DLCs no matter what?
Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I just want to be sure.

I'm asking all this since I'm pretty sure I can at least get an UR  sometime soon & be part of this event.

Ahhh, olliolli. I played the first game several years ago and it was fun, hopefully my experience with this sequel has been positive as well. I don't know if it's because of my experience with the previous game, but I found this one easier than the previous one, in fact I don't think there was a challenge I was stucked with for more than an hour.

Just like the prequel, we have several levels to beat, each with 5 challenges. Some of these are a bit difficult but eventually they are not too bad, it's just that there's plenty of them so your progress can feel quite slow toward their total completion. As you play you get more comfortable with the controls, and hopefully you don't need to pull out an insane variety of tricks to beat the challenges, the most crucial part for success is to learn the levels a bit.

After the challenges, you just have to beat the RAD mode where every trick must end with a perfect landing, a found this a bit hard for a few levels but definitely easier than clearing all the challenges. And finally a few miscellaneous trophies. Unfortunately a trophy requires to play 7 dailies, so you will inevitably need to wait for about a week before you can get the plat.

 

 

I almost cleared Leo's Fortune few days ago but I died at level 18/20 which is very heart-breaking since I don't really find the last levels too hard once you learn how each obstacle works.

Regarding Trials Fusion, I'm trying the Top Roach challenge, yesterday I got a run with 4 faults which is my best so far. But this is way harder than Pipe Phobia in my opinion, so I have no idea how some people can say the opposite. I'm also worried for the 10 faults run with the Rabbit in another extreme track, so I see this game still taking quite some time.

This game is truly bounty-worthy. Eldest Souls is an isometric boss-rush game with Dark Souls elements (if the name wasn't enough of a clue...). You control a little kid with a greatsword and you have to beat up 8 big bad bosses, each with their unique abilities and phases. Beating a boss gives you one skill point to allocate in one of the 3 available branches - Berserk (offense), Wind (speed) and Counter (defense + parry)

 

I expected this to be a chill indie game with moderate challenges and tons of charm. Well...I wasn't wrong about the charm at least  this game was TOUGH to platinum.

Defeating the bosses isn't that nasty once you get their patterns and such, the reason why this is an UR is because you have to no damage every boss except the last one for their respective trophies. It doesn't help that you can upgrade only AFTER you defeat a boss and boss No. 3 and No. 4 are the toughest in the game.

It was fun, it was frustrating, it was tough but it was also worth it

Got another update hot off the presses, as I've pressed through and finished Trials Rising! Man, what a fun journey this has been with the Trials universe... I'm pretty sad to see it go! 

 

I am having a tough time deciding whether I like Rising or Fusion better... On one hand, I really enjoyed all the crazy challenges on Fusion; there were still some of those on Rising, but not nearly as many fun ones. Rising seemed more like the trophy list was focused on getting good times as you need to gold medal every single track, including the tough extreme ones. I liked the bike physics slightly better on Rising tho, especially the Helium bike... That thing is just insane and you can basically climb up vertical walls with it!

 

I dunno who I was kidding when I said, and I quote:

Hahaha who the hell was I kidding, Trials Rising was still tough and quite the beast to overcome! Not quite as hard as Fusion, but damn close ?

 

@Arcesius my man, I dunno how the hell you finished this game so quickly... What took you a week and 6 days took me slightly over a month to do! Bravo to you my dude. Fun fact, I beat your Fusion time by 2 days, however I was nowhere near close to you on this one... Well played ?

 

One of the hardest trophies for me was completing all the Skill Games with a gold... Hill Climb was by far the hardest and here is my run in case you're curious:

 

Another tough set was for getting Diamond medals in at least one track for the base game as well as both DLCs. 2 of them could be cheesed by playing easier skill games, however the 3rd I opted to actually do one of the tracks. Here is my Diamond run on Incan Times Duel:

 

Last but not least was the trophy requiring a perfect run on the Tandem Bike. This basically works in that you need 2 people; each person provides 50% of the gas and leaning power. Well I opted to do this one solo, so here's my run of taking this on all by my lonesome:

 

Alright, well that about wraps it up for me... I've been slowly working my way through Elden Ring, which obviously does not count for this challenge! So up next I plan to finish Death Road to Canada then I'm not quite sure what else will be next. Gonna try to play 1 new thing and 1 thing out of the backlog at a time, as I usually split my time between 2 games. I'll likely swap something in for both Bleed & EarthNight... The former no longer counts for the Most Wanted and I can't say I have much desire to relearn all the bosses and such. The latter I just wasn't really feeling it and don't really wanna do that grind? At any rate, here we are so far:

Decided to dig up some old games and do something worth of the event name to use it as UR clean up a bit by playing Fifa 12 and Test Drive Unlimited 2 again. Both have closed servers and not accessible dlc ? Fifa 12 doesn't count for this event i think as i cannot get another UR trophy in those few i can obtain but TDR2 has one unobtained trophy with 4.16% so it pushes Dirt Rally 2 aside since that i so insane difficult i won't make it.

Completed another game last night, this time an MMO of all things. TERA's platinum has been finally obtained. Gotta say, getting that level 65 scroll and a bunch of rare, powered-up equipment helped up a lot to make short work of this one. In a way, I felt that I needed to take advantage of the rewards they were giving to try and complete the game as fast as possible. However, since I was so OP from the get-go and my equipment had an expiration date, I had to rush through the whole game, bypassing most of its story to try and obtain the trophies in less than a month. It felt both cheap and kinda like cheating in a way, but hey, the developers were handing out goodies for free, so who am I to say no to that? I managed to defeat most of the high-level world bosses in the game solo and in the nick of time. Last night, when I was fighting the very last boss in the game, I had like only 2 hours left of equipment, lmao.   ?

 

Anyways, the game is rather expansive, has a rather charming style, and above all, was fun to play despite its poor performance on my PS4 Slim. If I were to play it again, I think I'd rather play it the way it was meant to be played, y'know? Like, taking it one step at a time, leveling up, clearing dungeons and bosses for better equipment, doing parties and groups with friends and other people. Methinks the game is probably most enjoyable when you play it like this instead of one-hit killing almost every boss out there on your own.

 

Another thing very much worth mentioning are Elins... Oh, but I'll talk more about those in my next status update. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

 

 

Next game completed is going to be BB: CSE, I swear.

No more postponing on that one, I've already done all of the hard stuff so all I need to do is grind a few items and then enjoy the story.

I wanted to ask about this rule:

Actually a good Game, not that scary overall. After my first playthrough i did a lot of Bullshit during my insane Runs, which of course ended with a Game Over. I've used also a few Speedrun Tactics, to skip some Chapters. Skipping both of the hardest Chapters made the Insane Run way easier.
