Another quick Yakuza 0 update. Finished the story last night. I have ~85% completion on the CP List. Current play time of 87.5 hours. Most of the completion points I need are battle related, with just a handful in adventure, business, substories and minigames.Gonna start the climax battles today I think. I will save legend difficulty for last.

Star Ocean 5 done! Not bad, but the fact that 90% of the game is in a single planet with a lot of walking from A to B to C and back to A feels lazy...

 

I know that this is a Prologue to the series, but I don't remember the other games being this bland...

 

Not sure if I will do more swapping soon or not, but I think that for now I will work on some more common games..

Difficulty: 9/10 

Time: 145 Hours 

Enjoyment: 8.5/10 

 

After almost two years of chipping away at the notorious prestige mode, I'm proud to say that I've finally finished and that it definitely lived up to its reputation! 

 

Quite odd that this received such a sadistic dlc trophy considering how easy the platinum is and I know I'm in the minority but I actually really enjoyed the challenge as it brought a whole new level of mastery that just wasn't demanded prior. The game itself is pretty good minus the forced story they tried pushing with countless custcenes of fist bumps, cringe characters and annoying phone calls you'd receive when you're driving around.

 

 The real fun for me began with prestige mode though, which is probably some of the most intense shit I've played through forcing to master the game in a way i never thought possible with very strict high scores and time requirements that I'm sure not even the devs themsleves were capable of completing. Majority of your time will be spent doing the same event over and over until you memorize tracks well enough while improving just to shave off a few measly seconds or points in order to obtain gold, it's one of those things you just want to keep going at even though it's very frustrating at times. Part of that frustration is the random nature of certain events that will put you in situations you have no control over whatsoever with other drivers slamming into your car or traffic magically appearing where you need to be, resulting in an unnecessary amount of retries. I immediately knew that i fucked up when the very first prestige event took me almost 15 hours which is similar to my time to platinum and I ended up with a little over 130 hours but it could of been a lot more had it not been for the infinite nitrous glitch that randomly occurs while playing on ps5. This glitch makes the race events significantly easier to the point that I knocked almost all of them out in one night after stumbling for 20+ hours to get gold on the first few races, that's about half of prestige mode done without a crazy amount of effort. Drift events on the other hand is a completely different story as they remain very hard for the most part even with the glitch as its more about drifting to rack up insane amount of points rather than beating strict time requirements. Without the glitch, I would of definitely rated this a 10/10, it's no joke. 

 

Update

I'll likely try to finish Jamestown next as i only have the hardest trophy left and i aint even gon lie it does seem to be more difficult than I anticipated because of the final stage but who knows maybe with some more practice it won't be too bad.

Shutdown on 30th August

 

This is one of those many games in my library that I have no idea when I will bother to do, but this one became a priority right as I heard about the shutdown.

Nothing particular to say about this one, it's an indie where your goal is to bring a bomb to the enemy base in a 4v4 match that can be filled with bots. I got tired of this after a few matches, then it was a boring grind since you must wait 5 minutes to get in a lobby, and in all this you need 100 wins and 666 kills, along with a few other simple trophies. Everything can be done with bots, and the game is quite dead, especially if you turn off the cross-play, so you shouldn't have problems, however you will need at least 1 win against another human (who you should find eventually due to the incoming shutdown) for the 100 wins trophy to pop, according to some people.

I'm glad this game has no plat, since I don't want a random game like this to bring me closer to the platinum #400 milestone, since I have nothing good for it yet. How this game can be this rare and also be about 13GB of size are mysteries I will never figure out.

It's been a while since i've posted an update. It's been a while since I actually made any progress on anything on my tier list, but there was something significant that I wanted to post. I didn't actually add it to my tier list because I originally had no intention of completing it, but a few days ago I completed Elder Scrolls online on both PS4 & PS5, giving me series completion on Elder Scrolls. I'll try and get back to work on my tier list now.

Been a long time since my last update... was focusing on the Platinum difficulty challenge. But now that that's done I can focus on this event again

 

Just finished Astebreed and another shmup added to my profile! You basically pilot a Gundam and that's what sold me on the game. Highly recommend it.

Atari Flashback Classics Vol. 1 (0.93%)

Difficulty: 4/10 (massive save scum abusage)

Time spent: 5h

Fun: 5/10

 

Well, I was expecting to spend somewhere between 15-20h, instead this was quite a quick platinum, even for using the save scum exploit (which consists in backing up your checkpoint, which you set wherever you want, so you can retry from there as many times as you wish).

So this collection contains plenty of old games from Atari, I'm not a fan of these type of games but I don't dislike them either, some trophies are quite difficult unless you save scum them, particularly the rarest trophy requires to survive in an extremely difficult stage for about 30 seconds without dying, this is where save scumming goes beyond any decency as I have been doing that for every 2-4 seconds I could survive, definitely faster than trying it legit though.

I will go for volume 2 soon, while volume 3 will have to wait for a while until it gets a decent sale.

After 5 months, I finally finished the vita version and now have all 3 Rayman platform stacks completed.

Today I finished Driver: San Francisco which is my third completed game for this event.

 

Looking at DSF in a vacuum of "7th generation arcade racers," I would struggle to find something that could compete with the driving physics, large roster of cars, or with a more dedicated narrative, or, most importantly, with more variety of game modes for the campaign, side content and multiplayer (one exception: Burnout Paradise (now closed on PS3)). DSF has a lot going for it. Again - that is within that vacuum. If you like arcade racers, this one is a must-play.

 

 

If it interests you, be aware that the servers are surely going to close down soon (Ubisoft are under all kinds of pressure lately and recently closed a bunch of other servers), and multiplayer trophies will require dedicated boosting. Currently, there's less than 25 players boosting DSF worldwide. I know, because I had to play with most of them here and there to get stuff done with my crazy non-gaming schedule.

 

I spent about 60 hours from start to finish in DSF. Half of that was boosting the multiplayer. I must have spent easily (EASILY) 10 hours in lobbies while others tried to sort themselves out as for once in my life I was not one with internet trouble. I could have avoided that by 'selfish boosting' but that would cheapen the win for me. In any case, the PSNP guide's completion time (20hrs) is pure lies and slander ?. I think a factor in that is how the in-game time tracker can't count.

 

The boost isn't that bad as the gameplay is fun and you can actually compete with each other in the game modes half of the time instead of "my turn to do this, now your turn, etc etc" but hey - it's still boosting. Co-ordinating 4-player trophies with worldwide players (all requiring decent internet connection) on servers this old was tough. I know that's part and parcel for everyone in this thread but this was a big ask for me personally... it's just another example of this thread pushing me to be better and go for that ✅.

 

Would I recommend DSF? Yes. But be quick! Server closure yada-yada servers are probably going to close soon aaaaaaaaarrrgghhh...

Finally finished up Fall Guys a few weeks ago. I started it 2 days before they announced the move to the new launcher, so I was caught off guard. I was having bad luck with the store RNG and started to get worried, but in the end I got what I needed. The game was fun and unique, but with the added pressure of closure and the uncertainty of completing the list, it did get annoying at times with how uncoordinated and janky the characters feel (along with 59 other players blocking and pushing).

Great game though, I'm happy I got it done. In saying that, it's apparently still doable. The old launcher autopops (but cannot be played on) so if you still want this list, you can still autopop it. Not sure how long that'll work for.

 

Obliteracers gives a different take on kart racers. The thing is the races aren't actual races. You destroy other players for points in different but similar style events. Last alive or most destroys wins type of thing. It was a fun experience and definitely shouldn't be UR. I recommend to anyone who is into arcade/kart racing games.

Hah, it’s a bummer I completed a couple of ultra-rare’s recently before considering this challenge.

 

I’m definitely interested in signing up, but need to finish up my research.  I’ll need to add several games to my library to hit the 10 game minimum for Tier 1.  And I’ll need to balance out length & difficulty and some I have exceedingly long grinds.

 

Do the quarterly bounties have to be completed before they reset?

You can decide at any time which games you want to pick  since there's unlimited swaps. The only condition would be to post within 24 hours from getting the platinum.

 

And yes if you want to get the extra points, you have to complete the quarterly bounties before they reset.

Even though I just did the same thing with Dying Light ?‍?. Really don't like the 24 hour rule for entirely my own faults. My suggestion, we should be allowed to change in games as long as we have earned a UR trophy in the last week at least.

Not necessarily an issue for me but I agree, 24-hours is a bit strict. In my opinion 3 days would be better.

I just finished Rise & Shine. I would describe it as a 2D puzzle-shooter. It is very short, the first playthrough took less than 2 hours. Artstyle is cool, music is ok. It was unique enough to stay fun til the end.
