The Ultra Rare Cleanup 2022

Finished 2 more games this week, one shitty one and also a great one.

 

First up is Air Conflicts Vietnam, which sits at a wopping metacritic score of 30! Though while the game definitely isn't good and is very repetitive as well, it also wasn't that bad. Sure it's quite boring, but there's also no major glitches or anything really broken in the game. Very easy campaign, so I could just turn my mind off and casually work on it in bits and pieces. Most annoying part for the plat is probably the online trophies where you have to win in a 6 player lobby, but if you can get that many accounts it should be no problem. Quick 10 hour plat for anyone wanting to quickly increase their UR plat count.

 

Now for the much better game, I also finished Trackmania Turbo yesterday! I haven't played all too many racing games so far, so this definitely was quite a challenge. I started struggling somewhat early on, and the difficulty kept gradually increasing throughout the campaign. Nevertheless, this was tons of fun and very addicting, as I even saw myself grinding for better times sometimes on tracks I already had the trackmaster medal on, just so I could be first on that track among my friends list ?. The first actual big difficulty spikes were tracks 125 and 130, which each taking me about 3-4 hours, and then a big part of the whole black series too of course. Track 190 was probably the one I had most trouble with, with 178 and 180 not too far behind (each of these taking me like 6-8 hours). I found that while the canyon and valley tracks required the most precision (which is probably why many people say those are harder in black series compared to lagoon), I had more trouble in general with lagoon, just because of how hard that car is too handle, especially at the insane speeds this game can reach sometimes. 

I also made this game my 175th platinum milestone, and I'm very happy with that choice ?

For GTA V I've also made decent progress, as I've finished the 4 player criminal mastermind run, and will soon start the 2 player run, so hopefully I can finish that game this month as well.

#267 - Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

 

So this typically isn’t the type of game I’d be interested in and I had initially ignored it when it dropped on PS+ a year or two back despite it’s massive popularity. But some of you may remember when the custom private games update was added back in May 2021 and people were going absolutely crazy here on PSNP boosting the Infallible trophy… Well I saw that absolute frenzy at the time and all the boosting sessions with hundreds of people running around the clock, and I recognized that there might never be such an opportunity again to get that pain in the ass trophy done painlessly, so I hopped on and just like that this game was added to my list. I played it for a couple days and had fun but ultimately abandoned it, vowing to return at some point in the future.

 

I jumped back in again a few months ago in March when the Sweet Thieves update came out, and this is when I really dove in with both feet. Sweet Thieves was an incredibly fun and unique new game mode that became an instant classic within the community, and also made a lot of the more difficult and grindy trophies relatively painless due to the super short duration of the matches.
 

Not only that, but this mode breathed new life into the game and saw hordes of old vets returning, and a surge of new players hopping in for the first time. Around this time news of the new launcher came out, which also meant a ton of trophy hunters returning to the game in order to obtain this prestigious platinum trophy before the new launcher was released. In short, this was a great time period to play some Fall Guys and the game was very active.

 

Despite all the corner cutting I took with this game, it still took a ton of time and effort. I played this exclusively everyday for about a month straight, and then spent another few weeks logging in daily for about an hour of daily activities and praying for the RNG needed to obtain my last Legendary item from the store. I finally got the platinum in mid April, just weeks before the new launcher came out and the original, ultra-rare version of the platinum became unobtainable forever.

 

Even though this kind of luck based battle royale multiplayer game isn’t typically my style at all, I can’t deny that I had a lot of fun with the time I spent with this. It’s a silly, goofy game and a lot of fun to just pick up and play from time to time, and there was a lot of camaraderie with other people from this community during March/April when we were all working together to complete it. I’m sure I played with quite a few of you during that period, so thanks for the games! ☺️

 #272 - GRIP Combat Racing

 

GRIP is a racing game developed by Cage Element and published by Wired Productions, and can be considered a spiritual successor to the classic Rollcage series from PlayStation 1.
 

I had a real love/hate relationship with this game. On one hand there’s a lot to like about it and it has some really neat aspects. On the other hand, it can be cheap, infuriating, and literally physically and mentally exhausting to play. The reason this game took me so long to complete is that I just couldn’t commit to long sessions with it because it was so draining. I kept taking breaks to complete other games in between trophies or tiers of the main campaign.
 

Let’s start with the positives. One thing this game does great is really capture that feeling of high stakes racing at blistering speeds. The average speed in this game is around 600/mph but you will consistently be cracking the 1000/mph+ mark with boosts, speed pads and higher vehicles. At the best of times this creates an amazing feeling that few other games I’ve played had emulated, and allows you to cheat gravity by driving on ceilings and walls without falling off. I remember hearing how fast paced the WipeOut games are, but after running some races on WipeOut Omega after playing GRIP, I have to say the races in those games feel very slow. GRIP is crazy fast!

 

Another really cool part of the fundamental experience is the track design. The cars are flat and designed to be able to continue driving whether you are right-side up or up-side down, so most of the tracks in the game feature tubes and tunnels, or multiple pathways on the walls and roofs and surfaces adjacent to the tracks. Whether you intentionally flip yourself off a ramp or just find yourself flying out of control off the main track, you’ll often seamlessly land on other surfaces and be able to continue racing interrupted. 

However, the track design takes a steep dive toward the end of the campaign in favour of increasing the difficulty. While earlier tournaments feature tracks that have lots of space to maneuver and ample opportunities to take advantage of alternate pathways and shortcuts, the further you get in the campaign the more cramped and narrow tracks become. The problem here is that it clashes terribly with such highs speeds and means that in order to succeed in this game you will ironically be forced to drive the slowest vehicles.

 

The worst feature of this game is undoubtedly the rubber banding. There’s a mechanic called “catch up” which is automatically enabled during the campaign, which gives trailing opponents a huge advantage to make gains on the leading racers. While this sometimes works in your favour, I found that more often than not it works against. Enemy AI is always right behind you, and you quickly learn that one mistake or hit with a weapon will send you veering off the track out of control and instantly in last place.
 

The best strategy in this game is to try and stay behind the pack and then use the catch up advantages in the last lap to try and surge ahead for a come-from-behind win. But I found this to be easier said than done, as navigating narrow tracks at such high speeds is very difficult, and the AI always had an advantage in this respect as they drive like racing gods, rarely making mistakes or losing control of their vehicle. Keeping a lead is difficult, and I can’t even count the number of times I lost races in the last 10 feet or dying seconds of a track over some bullshit. THANK GOD this game allows you to restart individual events throughout the campaign tournaments. Without that ability, this would have been impossible for me.

 

Finally, there is an alternate challenge mode called Carkour, a bunch of technical or skilled based driving challenges that vary from Easy to Nightmare. This mode really sucks as the cars in this game just don’t handle very well at all and it’s just not very fun. The 2 Nightmare tracks in particular really lived up to their name and took a combined 7 hours, despite the tracks themselves being mere seconds long.

 

Overall there were some really fun moments in this journey, but the intense frustration and cheap AI made it a real slog the further along you get, and I lost motivation to finish very quickly. I’m really relieved to finally close the book on this one and I couldn’t delete it fast enough.

#270 - Deep Rock Galactic

 

Wowwww holy moly. What an amazing journey this was.

 

When this game landed on PlayStation through PS+ back in January, I thought it looked kind of interesting. The low polygon graphical style stood out right away, and based on footage I saw it looked like a fun co-op shooter game that almost reminded me of Borderlands. But then I saw the trophies and the time to platinum, and I noped the hell out of there.

 

But over the next few months, I kept hearing things about this game. People who tried it would tell me it was one of the best co-op games they’d ever played. Random video essays or reviews would pop up in my YouTube feed declaring this game a hidden gem or a must-play kind of experience, and my interest and fascination began to grow. I started watching videos, visiting the subreddit, and reading up on DRG, until finally I couldn’t resist checking it out any longer.

 

Initially I hadn’t planned to platinum this game, I just wanted to try it out and have some fun and just maybe chip away at it over time once it was on my list. But within my first few hours playing this game I just knew it was something special, and knew right away that I was going to platinum this no matter what. Within a matter of days I was playing this exclusively and couldn’t bring myself to put the controller down, even putting off super hyped games like Elden Ring in order to continue playing. It was that good. And for the next month straight I played this game how it was meant to be played, learning the ins and outs of each class and having an absolute blast playing with randoms online.

The game revolves around a simple concept - you are a dwarf who works for a deep space mining conglomerate called Deep Rock Galactic. There’s a main hub area called the Space Rig that is floating above a planet called Hoxxes IV, and with each mission you are jettisoned down inside a drop pod to an incredible procedurally generated environment on the alien planet, either with your team or with your trusty robot companion Bosco if you are playing solo.
 

The gameplay itself revolves exploration and mining throughout the caves with horde/wave style PVE against the alien creatures who try to interrupt your mission objectives. There’s about a dozen different mission types which are all quite fun and unique, from simple mining missions, to refinery missions where you are required to build and set up a complex network of pipelines to extract liquid minerals, to escort missions where you follow and defend a large drilling machine, or even straight up combat missions where you seek out and kill large boss enemies called Dreadnoughts or harvest alien eggs from nests and fend off the angry swarms.

 

What makes this game so much fun to play is the brilliant procedural generation of the caves. They vary in length and complexity, and there’s only a handful of different biomes, but despite this, you will never, ever see two caves that are quite the same. Every single cave is like it’s own unique environmental puzzle, offering its own unique challenges and secrets, and requiring cooperation and coordination in order to complete your missions and mine your way through.

 

There are 4 different classes of dwarves in total and they are incredibly well balanced. Most games I’ve played usually have at least one class that is objectively better than the others, but not in DRG. Every single class has its own pros and cons, and are designed with specific skills and abilities that compliment or complete other classes, making teamwork a core component of any dive.
 

The Scout is quick and mobile, using a grappling hook to speedily navigate the environment and reach difficult/high up areas, and comes equipped with special flares that light up the whole caves for your teammates. The Engineer has a gun that shoots out a special substance allowing you to create platforms and bridges to help navigate the environment and help teammates reach veins of ore, as well as the ability to lay turrets and mines to defend the team. The Driller is the best terrain modifier and comes with high powered drills that allow you to dig tunnels, bunkers, knock down structures, clear environmental hazards etc, as well as incredibly powerful C4 to clear structures or kill enemies. And last but not least you have The Gunner, a beefy class who’s main job is to DPS and provide protection while your teammates work, and is equipped with special dome shields, and ziplines to help the team traverse the environment. 

 

Having a fully balanced and well coordinated team feels amazing and can be the different between failure and success on those high level, end game missions. I’ve never been a huge fan of multiplayer games to be honest, but DRG is something really special and sets itself apart in this genre. The game has a silly, lighthearted feel at center with the Dwarves and memes, and the community really reflects this spirit.
 

Furthermore, I’ve never played an online game before that had such a welcoming and encouraging veteran community. Rather than chastising noobs for their mistakes and getting annoyed, DRG players will more often than not take you under their wing to give you tips, teach you things, and encourage you to be the best dwarf you can be. The online experience in this game is truly a joy, and I can’t think of many other games I’ve played where I can say the same. I’ve certainly never had so much fun playing an online game with random people I don’t know.

 

My final 2-3 weeks on this game was spent solely grinding XP in order to earn promotions for each dwarf, which is really the only thing that makes this a long and exhausting game to platinum. But thankfully it wasn’t that big of a deal for me as I was lucky to be included in a great boosting group of likeminded players, many of which are from this site and these forums. Shout out to you guys, you know who you are and without guys like you it could have been unbearable.

 

In summary, I will say this — I came SO CLOSE to skipping over this game purely because of the trophy list, but I’m so thankful that I gave it a chance in the end. Deep Rock Galactic is undoubtedly one of the best games I’ve ever played. It is one of those rare games I will keep installed and will continue to hop back in from time to time in order to check out new updates or run some missions for fun from time to time. When I eventually upgrade to PS5 I could even see myself revisiting this journey all over again.

 

I will also say this for anybody who is interested in starting DRG — this is not the kind of game you will want to approach with a trophy-centric mindset.
 

If you go at this one solely for the trophies or you jump straight into farming XP and speeding through everything, this game will be a massive, exhausting marathon to get through and you will likely hate it. But if you approach this game the way it was intended to be played, and you spend the bulk of your time playing online and not worrying too much about the trophies, this might end up being one of your favourite games too. There’s really nothing else quite like it.

Halfway done through the event as I've finished my 5th game, Speedrunners!


Overall, this game is absolute fun when you play with friends!
Speedrunners is 2D platformer racing game where you and 3 other players run laps around maps to stay in the lead. After either a certain amount of time passes or 1 person is caught off-screen for being too slow, the screen will slowly get smaller and smaller, and the last one in front gets a point! You'll need to get three in order to win. You can move left or right, jump... the standard stuff... But, the focus here is the momentum. There's some cool tech with jumping into slopes, alongside grappling walls to gain a ton of speed, and the fun comes from mastering each map and versing other people.

The difficulty from this game comes from beating the story mode on Unfair difficulty. Needless to say, the description is quite accurate. ? The main "boss" AI of the chapter (of which there are 4 maps for each, totaling at 16 total races) runs at a normal running speed faster than you can, generally executes nearly every shortcut in each level, and almost always dodges your items. In order to win, you'll need to gain as much momentum as you can and make the best use of swinging, as you get more speed that way.
The other UR trophy in the game is for reaching the highest level which takes a ton of XP. You get XP for winning, but most if it comes from hitting items. Luckily, I had three other controllers so I just set up a custom match locally and obliterated my other three controlled teammates with giant boulders and freeze rays until the cows came home, which proved to be effective! ?

With that done, I'll probably focus on BO3 next, I've been putting it off for a while. Best of luck to everyone else on their games! Until next time!

It turns out I am back with another completion far sooner than I thought I would be, Limbo is finished! 

 

Although I probably ought to have dropped an update sooner, as I finished it last Tuesday I think ? but busy weekend and all that, so here I am, dog tired on a Monday morning throwing one out now ?.

 

I also booted Dragon Age:Inquisition straight off the list to make room for Pool Nation on the PS4. Thankfully it's an entirely different game to Pool Nation (PS3) or I wouldn't have bothered.  Just waiting to knock out those pesky online trophies in Pool Nation, and I think I should be able to nab the platinum shortly after.  Dragon Age will  probably resurface whenever I throw a list together for Tier 2. Especially as I'm fairly confident that's not all that far off, with the games I have left on the list.

 

I'll throw out a few quick thoughts on Limbo

 

Some thoughts on Limbo!

 

Limbo simply just is a brilliant game, if you're like me, and apparently spend a good proportion of your time living under a rock, and have yet to actually play Limbo until 2022, do yourselves a favour and play it! If you really want to incentivise yourself, it's got an ultra rare trophy, so you can always add it here like I did, and I feel it's totally worth peoples time.

 

It definitely shares a little bit of DNA with Little Nightmares, so if you like that one, you'll almost certainly like this one... Honestly one of the biggest differences, is that Limbo has incredibly tight and precise controls, whereas Little Nightmares has anything but.

 

The Ultra Rare Trophy, for getting through Limbo in one sitting dying five times or less, ended up being one of my favourite aspects of the game. Not just from the challenge side of the game (although, that was a nice feeling, finally nailing that), but more for the deeper appreciation that you end up feeling for the game overall. Being forced to replay sections repeatedly (or not depending on your skill level) you really get a wonderful sense for the controls and how incredibly precise they really are. They might not seem like it at first, but for something that on the surface only has a few available bits of movement tech, it's very deliberate and purposeful.  ended up really appreciating that side of it.

 

It's also got an incredible art-style and a really immersive ambient soundtrack..... oh I'm rambling again aren't I? ? (old habits die hard, as they say). I discuss that in a bit greater detail in my review of Limbo here, if you really want to read about it a little more.

 

I think the next game on the hitlist is probably finishing off Dishonoured, I've got one more fairly finicky trophy left, and then I just need to get the 3 Stars in all of the challenges, which I've done a fairly sizeable amount of already.

 

I'm really glad this event requires full completion, not just the ultra rares, because I've got one more trophy left to get in the last Daud DLC, so I'm so looking forward to being able to go back and play those two awesome DLC's once more after finishing the Dunwall City Trials, I'll treat it as "my reward" 

 

As always it's been a pleasure slaying some games and making some progress alongside all of you, hopefully it won't be too long before I'm hopping back in to talk about Dishonoured!

Completed two more games on my Tier 2 :

 

 

• Jump Force is the latest addition on my quest to hunt the games that have been shutting down in the past few and upcoming months. The game isn't great by any means, I really didn't enjoy my time with this one. I'm actually amazed that this game managed to fail so badly despite having a full roster of 5 stars characters. The fighting is basic, the story is boring and drags on for far too long. I played the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games on my previous account and those were much better games than Jump Force. I wouldn't recommend this game to anybody unless you're trying to get a few UR trophies before they become unobtainable in a few weeks. I'm a big Japanese Shonen fan and I didn't enjoy my time going for this plat so that should tell about it. The positive aspect of all this is that I don't have any upcoming shutdown I have to work on which means I can choose games with more freedom for the first time in months. For a bit of context, I completed 27 games and 9 of them were shutdown or upcoming shutdown which represents a third or 33%. 

 

• Fast and Furious Crossroads was delisted on April 29th, less than 2 years after hitting the stores and I figured a shutdown might be coming soon since the game sold pretty poorly. After doing some research I learned that you need a whooping 9! players just to start a lobby (which is ridiculous) so I initially wasn't so sure about going for it. A few days later, I got added in a group with over 40 people in it and I figured it might be my only chance of getting this game done. I think I started regretting putting this game on my profile less than 30 minutes after starting the online ? The grind is ridiculous. You need to play 400 online matches, get 100 MVPs (best player of the match), get 200 takedowns, 200 busts (only possible when you're part of the cop team) and a streak of 20 takedowns without being (funnily enough) taken down. And you need to do all that in a lobby with 8 other players taking turns which makes the whole process very slow (especially the 100 MVPs). Not only that, you need to find 8 other players available at the same time as you. The only reason this game isn't a sub 1% game is because there is only 2,3k owners here on PSNProfiles. I was able to snag fastest achiever simply because I decided to nolife through it until I was done. In comparison, the single player part is a walk in the park with most trophies being unlocked just by progressing through it. The story and gameplay in itself weren't that great, it's basically a racing game where you either go from point A to point B or chase and arrest someone by trying to take their car down. Funnily enough, the hardest trophy in the game is actually a single player one where you're driving as Vin Diesel, taking your friend Roman Pierce back to the base in order to defuse a bomb strapped to his chest. You have a timer and you need to reach the base with 2 mins to spare. Every time you hit something, it shaves off 4 seconds off the clock. If you hit another car, the cops start chasing you and you're better off restarting cause every time they hit you, it's 4 less seconds. Overall, It was not an enjoyable experience at all and I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone, whether you're a fan of the franchise or just want a bunch of UR trophies. 

 

• On another note, I'm still using my old account's PSN+ since that subscription hasn't ended yet. I figured I should play the PS+ games I'm interested in right now because when that subscription ends, I want to switch to getting a PS+ on this account and I won't be able to access those games on my previous profile anymore. Switch Galaxy Ultra is one of them which is the reason I decided to go for it.

Well, I guess that I can do a little update...

 

I finished Virtua Fighter V Ultimate Showdown as my 3rd game.

 

I will also swap out both GT7 again, since the true rarity of the games is far from UR, and will introduction back Street Fighter V, since I managed to selfboost Golden League... and I will also put Caligula Effect back on the list..

Finished up the Fury DLC. Thoughts are pretty much the same as my thoughts on the HD DLC. The new tracks in Fury I generally like better then the HD tracks, but there are not enough of them to sustain the campaign. You do get to play some in reverse but it still gets old across the campaign. I also didn't like the new game modes that much. The combat mode is just who gets lucky enough to get quakes, and if the game just gives you cannons over and over you will lose. The detonator events are just kinda boring. I don't know, not much to say here. The rest of the plat will be much harder.

I thought this was gonna be tough for me. Ended up just being a massive grind. The miscellaneous trophies I still needed were easy enough. The 3 main trophies that concerned me were Sudden Temptation, Soul Fulfilled, and Wind of Battle.

 

Sudden Temptation requires you to clear all quick battles. I thought this was gonna be crazy hard for me since I am not good at Soulcalibur and the A and B level AI are brutally tough, but I quickly realized that the AI for whatever reason does not know how to deal with Astaroth's basic grab the majority of the time. This turned Quick Battle from something I fear to just endlessly doing the same grab over and over again. Not proud of it, but it was the easiest and least time consuming way for me to get it done.

 

After doing all the other trophies and all of quick battle I was only level 55. Soul Fulfilled requires you to reach level 99. This is a massive grind. The easiest way to do it I found was to use Mitsurugi, rebind the controls so that the vertical attack as on X, then just spam X against an E rated oppenent in quick battle. There is a faster method (and a turbo controller would be best) but this way I could ignore the game and just binge watch some TV while pressing X.

 

Then even after doing all of the other trophies for the last trophy Wind of Battle I needed to walk 87,600 meters in battle. I had walked only a little over 15,000 at this point. So another long grind. I rubber banded my controller holding left and just had to press X every 3 minutes or so to restart the match. Took me another 6-8 hours of mindless grind.

 

Overall it was just massively boring. Between this and Yakuza 0 I think I need to take a break from the long grinds. Gonna work on raising my completion percent and knock out some more online trophies in my backlog before I jump back to the ultra rares.

So I found this to be very interesting.

 

Last time I played this game was 8-9 months ago. Back then I put in a lot of practice getting the hardest trophy: CRÈME DE LA CRÈME for scoring 2M points on the main grid. After about 10 hours I managed to break 1.6M points. I watched many video’s and it seems to me everyone was just a lot faster than me even though I made far less mistakes. I did not understand this at all.

 

Fast forward to yesterday. I got a new tv and I already noticed this game ran much quicker. In fact it runs so much quicker I save around 30-40 seconds per 5 min. run just because of the new tv. I broke 1.8M points within a few attempts and a few hours ago I broke 2M getting me the trophy, which overall took me around 2 hours of attempts. Last trophy, for scoring 1.5M on the Desert Grid, was a piece of cake.

 

I made many small mistakes in this run but luckily it was still good enough.

I really think this game was literally impossible for me 9 months ago. There was just not enough time to score enough points. I start to wonder how many more games I’ve done that could have been a lot easier. ?

I finished Blacklight: Retribution a couple days ago. It's an old FPS game, there is really not much to say about it other than it has some questionable game design choices. You have to buy weapons, attachments etc. (basically everything) with in-game currency (GP) you earn by playing or with currency only available through real money. The in-game currency you earn by playing is a joke. The catch is you can either buy stuff for one day which costs only 150-450 GP or permanently for a couple thousands .. or you can get the wallet out.

 

Luckily you don't need anything for the trophies except for equipping sth. once. Almost all trophies can be boosted in private matches, however XP and GP earned in private is minimized to a small fraction, so you have to boost in public matches. The game is mostly dead so it wasn't too bad but still very boring.

Fourth game done: Medal of Honor: Frontline.

 

 

Holy hell. I really underestimated the hard difficulty. "Only about 40% of those who beat the game did it a second time on the hard difficulty, how hard can it be?" I said. ? How wrong I was.

 

I managed it in the end but there was a good three or four levels where I thought "ok, this must be the top of the difficulty spike" and was stunned to find that it just got harder. It was less about "cheap shit" than I expected and more because the controls are from 2002 and completely before The Halo Effect where every FPS suddenly became playable (?) a few years after that game released. MOHF came out in the nebulous time between Wolfenstein/Doom and Halo: Combat Evolved where FPS games were a popular genre in their own right but hadn't gone absolutely gangbusters yet and intuitive control schemes and aim assist weren't popular yet.

 

It also doesn't help that this game has no checkpoints. Failure sends you all the way back to the beginning. It's not that unusual for you ninjas but I am not used to this nonsense.

 

I played MOHF when it came out and loved it. The campaign is crazy good and extremely varied... maybe one of the most varied. There's a lot to like. The animations of the characters and little one-off situations that happened in every level provided constant "oh that's really ahead of its time" moments. An example may be as simple as a machine gunner pushing a collapsed corpse off of him when you kill his buddy - you don't expect those moments that can be SO EASILY missed by players in 2002, let alone on the second-last level where you'd typically see the results of crunch eating away at a game's quality.

 

 

There's also a good mix of gimmick levels (an on-rails level in a minecart, a train level before Uncharted 2 made it cool, a submarine-infiltration before Modern Warfare made that cool, and a blatant Saving Private Ryan rip-off as you storm Normandy in the first level) over the course of the 19 level campaign. Every level has something different to make it special.

 

 

If you like shooters from this era and have the patience for a rough hard difficulty in an old shooter without aim assist, this game is a must-play.

 

I've picked N++ back up while procrastinating on the Dishonored DLC. I'm loving N++ but I worry that I'll have to complete the Ultimate levels (200 levels) on top of the N++ and Legacy levels (200 levels each) to get the 'Achieve Enlightenment' trophy. The Ultimate levels were added for free after MMDE's guide went up and I can't find a definitive answer yet. If YOU know the answer, please let me know. ?

Thank you too man, seriously! As I said at the time, couldn't have done it without you, and I enjoyed our little Pool ride together, even if we did have that huge stumbling block that meant we had to reset our progress completely!

 

It's a ridiculously easy game, which I was surprised by, because the PS3 version has got some genuine challenge in it. It is pretty fun though, it's just a shame that it isn't a little longer than it is. Because the actual Pool and Snooker side of it is actually really fun!

 

In this version the endurance mode trophies I got on separate attempts as I didn't know you could combine them, but each attempt I did first time. Instead of the hours and hours that it took me to finally survive for 20 minutes in the PS3 version.

 

It's very similar to Pool Nation on the PS3, except it has almost none of the challenge involved that game does, which I think is a little bit of a shame. I'll leave a link to my review of it if any of you want to read about it a little more. It's short-ish for something I've written, but still feels too long to post in here.

 

Hopefully I'll see you all soon to ramble on about something else!

Next game completed: Zombie Army 4 is spinoff from Sniper Elite franchise. It's a 3rd person shooter which i played with friends together and i think this game is a good improvement over the older game which is on PS4 called Zombie Army Trilogy. ZA4 counts for this challenge because one of the many dlc trophies were UR earlier this year but all in all it was an easy but enjoyable game. We played on high difficulty but with a squad that faced enemy numbers for 1 player recommended the biggest problem i have with ZA4 is that the dlc missions are divided in 3 season passes and there are even some free dlcs too...

 

Besides that i played more Rayman Legends and got some misc trophies and of course i play everyday to complete online challenges and grind the necessary points to get the eventually...

Finally finished Yakuza 0. Just in time to claim the bounty.

 

I completed the vast majority of the game back in 2020 and only had the Legend playthrough from Chapter 5 onward left to do.

What an amazing game. The feeling, the soundtrack, the epicness, the amount of content........incredible. Obviously I highly recommend the game.

 

All in all the plat took me about 163 hours. I'm not entirely sure because I don't know how long it took me to finish the Climax battles.
