I think I might add to this list of mine homefront 2, wolfenstein 2009 and metro last light on ps3. theres are for plats as I don't own the dlc to last light but I do for homefront well the first one that is the voice of freedom that is

If you don't own the dlc for Metro you should reconsider putting it in as rule #1 under Event Structure says you need to get all trophies of the game to complete it for this event.

It's unlikely that I can finish 10 UR games, but I think that I will still join as incentive to clean up some more games...

 

Do I need to submit a list of 10 games from the start? (from what I understood the submitted games aren't a 100% fixed list and can be changed, right?)

 

Also, how would NFS The Run be considered in all this? The platinum is impossible for me due to an unobtainable trophy, but I still have UR trophies that I can earn in that list.

If the event motivates you to finish some games in the backlog then you're more than welcome, that's the main "spirit" of it  

 

Yes, you have to submit a list from the start, you can change as much as you want. But the main rule is first enlist the game and then complete it.

 

The case you are considering falls under Rule 4, since it's not under our control when the servers are shut down: 

Games with delisted DLC/closed servers : If you really wish to complete a game with server shutdown or delisted DLC, you can do so, but you must have at least one UR trophy in your list.

So yes, you can complete all the achievable trophies and consider it as a completed game, as long as you have an unobtained UR trophy.

When looking on what to add, I run into a new "question", but I will post my list with the question as an option in it.

 

So, my tentative starting list would be the following 10 games:

 

1st - NFS The Run (37% completion, 1 impossible trophy + the platinum, max possible completion is 97%. I still have 2 UR trophies unearned, namely: "Win at Winning" with 4.18% rarity and "East Coast Gold" with 4.22% rarity)

2nd - Flatout 4 (77% complete, I have the disc version, platinum is possible for me. Platinum 2.87% rarity)

3rd - Dissidia Final Fantasy NT (84% complete, platinum 1.91% rarity)

4th - Dragon Ball Xenoverse PS4 (27% complete, platinum 3.34% rarity)

5th - Dirt 3 (64% complete, platinum rarity 2.83%)

6th - Kingdom Hearts re:Chain of Memories PS3 (90% complete, platinum 4.81% rarity)

7th - Gran Turismo Sport (59% complete, platinum 0.96% rarity)

8th - Caligula Effect (50% complete, platinum 2.34% rarity)

9th - ModNations Racers (66% complete, I can still get 100% trophy completion. Platinum 1.12% rarity)

10th Final Fantasy XV EU (91% complete, only missing the Royal DLC set, but this DLC has 1 UR trophy unearned, namely the trophy "Pursuit of Knowledge" with 4.80% rarity). Not sure if this counts, if not, replace with Jump Force (not started yet, platinum 2.76% rarity).

 

Yes, it's a underwhelming list compared with most others, but I prefer keep things realistic.. specially because I think that I never got 10 UR platinum in a single year (but I always managed to at least get 1 UR platinum since the trophies were added!!), so, let's keep my usual steady pace of over a decade..

 

And as I mentioned initially, this is mainly to incentive myself to improve my completion, that's why the only game that I put that's not started is the possibility of Jump Force, because the servers are going down next year.. and I put FF15, because it's one of the games in my priority shortlist to complete soon (along FF7R Intergrade, Tales of Arise, Ghost of Tsushima and potentially Soul Sacrifice, but none of those qualify for this event).

If the DLC hasn't been delisted you have to do the DLC included for it to count  

Else you can always pick another game!

Alright, maybe I should join my own event, mhm? ? Here is my tentative list for Tier 1... Maybe a bit too ambitious, but even though we use the rarity of games as the only deciding factor for eligebility, this event is supposed to push people to attempt challenging games. So here we go! 

 

 

 

In other news, we have been discussing what we want to do about the Most Wanted list. With your feedback, we are leaning towards the following: 

• Fixed Most Wanted list with 3 games that are known to be extremely challenging AND extremely time-consuming to 100%. We're still thinking about the third game for the list. 
• Temporary Most Wanted list with games of our choosing (quantity of games not yet decided), changes every 3 months.

I'm still deciding on my list here... I figured no rush since it doesn't start for ~2 weeks anyway! I like what a few others have done, with a mix of new and old games. I think I'll do the same, as I've been trying to work on my atrocious backlog ? I'll be curious to see what the Most Wanted list is comprised of tho first.

(I needed an excuse to bump out Screencheat, anyway. It's apparently not challenging nor time consuming; trying to stay in the spirit of the event).

No, screencheat really isn't challenging at all. I managed to get it done in a few hours. It's just one of those party type games (like jackbox) that you play with friends that also require 3 or 4 controllers. Those two things combined make it UR alone. It's honestly only a 4/10 at best for difficulty. 

You've made me check out Braid though which looks decent, so thanks!

Yo, count me in for this event. I normally don't take part in events due to not wanting to constraint myself to what I play and, well, having very little time to do actual gaming. But I said, "What the heck... Let's give this one a try. Maybe I'll have a good time as I try to complete some of the tough games I usually play and have some fun along the way while doing so."

 

Here's the list of games I'll be playing for Tier 1 of the event. Hopefully, everything is in order. If not, please let me know.

 

 

There are a few of them I'm already working on but I believe I won't be making any substantial progress on them until next year. As for those last on the list, Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition & Dakar 18, I might swap those later on depending on how things go. I'll see. xP
