Edited my list on page 3 to throw Mind≒0 on the list, replacing Puyo Puyo Champions. Started it during my vacation to finish up a trophy challenge on TrueTrophies and am enjoying it, despite its simplicity. Best to put a game on the list that I'm currently actively playing, anyway!

Steep done. The first time that I've had heard about this game was in last year event (when I was just lurking) and I was like "ok, cool, let me add that to the pile of more than 100 games that I want to play at some point in life". After a few months something happened... an open beta for a game called Riders Republic (basically Steep 2) got my attention and it was love in first sight, I pre-ordered the game, played like crazy, got the platinum, did every single event (even with no trophy about that) and... that was it? What is this empty space in my heart? What should I do now? What is the meaning of life? That's when I decided to buy Steep and hold it for this event (which was harder than getting the platinum, especially when I choose to start it earlier).

 

Overall, I would say that the rarity is like that mostly because the game was a PS+ offer at some point. There're some difficult stuff, but nothing super crazy. Time flies when you are in this game, you can spend 1 hour failing the same race over and over and not even bother about that, you'll just enjoy the enviroment, the soundtrack and feel the vibe.

For those who platinumed "Atari Flashback Classics Volume 3":

 

I'm nearly done with the game. My questiom is, is there any video on yt to understand "Star Raiders"? (If not I have to read the manual and hopefully understand the game) and can I get the "Command Rank" result combined with the Novice Difficulty? Or is it better to play it on a harder difficulty to get more points?

 

I mean it looks like a sequel to Stellar Track and Stellar Track was enjoyable after I understood the basics of the game. Thanks in advance and a happy new year.

Progress Update

 

Iconoclasts [Vita] - 100% Complete

I played up to the final boss on New Years Eve, struggling with the Agent Black fight quite a bit. Then this morning I beat all 6 stages of the final boss to net me the last remaining trophy and UR 'One-Hit Wonder'. The last boss was much easier then Agent Black, it is 6 stages, but the first 4 can be made dead easy if you follow a guide to select the correct dialogue options throughout the game. And stage 5 is fairly easy, with large telegraphs and tons of opportunity to deal damage. Stage 6 is the only part of the final boss that was challenging, but that is mostly because you do very little damage so you just have to dodge a lot of attacks, still pretty easy to dodge though and the game checkpoints you at the start of both stage 5 and 6 so you don't have to replay the entire fight if you die.

Agent Black on the other hand required me to clear 3 stages of the fight in a row without checkpoints, with the second stage in particular being a pain in the ass, able to stun lock you with little notice to dodge, plus its so large that you barely have room to move out of the way.

 

Very happy to have finished this one finally. It's a fantastic metroidvania, and while a lot of people don't like how much dialog it has, I found the games story and lore very interesting.

 

EDIT: Gotta give a shout to the boss Mendeleev for also being a complete pain in the ass. Agent Black was worse, but Mendeleev was also very annoying.

First game in Tier 1 completed, Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War!
 

I enjoyed Cold War quite a lot, I had high hopes for the setting and the campaign was overall pretty fun to play to through. Dead Ops could have been a real handful to complete, however since they’ve added First Person and Advanced Start completing round 65 and the Boss has been made greatly less challenging than it was since release!
 

A big thanks to @HusKy, @Koro249 and @Exhuman1988 for welcoming me in and helping with the multiplayer/zombies trophies!

 

More progress has been made on SMB today also, now that I’ve finished my 7th/12 no death run. Last year I managed six games but I’m gonna give it a real shot at ten to round of the larger Tier this year.

Alright, first game cleared!

Just finished:

 

Laser League (0.97%)

Personal difficulty: 2/10

Fun: 3/10

 

I didn't manage to finish this game before the 2021 event ended, so here I am clearing it on the first day of the new event instead.

One of the many games I have in my backlog which I started solely due to the shutdown announcement.

I think the previous horrible boost I had was over an year ago with Umbrella Corps, so coming back to these type of boosts was quite an awful experience, combined with a bad moment for me... well... yeah, fuck this game.

The boost takes about 50h, I'd say my group has approached the game correctly and we had done it in the most efficient way, yet the time it took us gives me enough confidence to say that the trophy guides that state 20-35h are very wrong. Unless you have extra consoles (maybe), but due to the nature of the game itself and the very brutal afk kick, extra consoles are a massive pain to handle here.

The only struggle, other than continue the boring boost, was to figure out how to do a few challenges that are not explained at all, for the rest it was just a boost experience. Not a bad game in my opinion, it's just the trophy list itself to be annoying, too much stuff to do in a very simple game and most of it is pretty much impossible without boosting; especially a completely broken challenge about preventing a revive to the other team which does not give credits unless done in a very specific way, which is still inconsistent.

Thanks to the members of my group @PlutoRico @pot1414 @Nicholasperdisci for the help and the perseverance through this game.

 

 

Since I got psnow for one year back when it had a 50% sale, I am more focused to finish some of the games it offers, I don't know which ones are actually UR so I will most likely perform some swaps later on.

I know last year I made like 0 progress at all since I was focusing on stacking JRPG series (which is still my main focus) but since I am currently cleaning up my profile to get it closer to 100% and am working on a few UR currently thought I my as well sign up since I should be able to get all these done by the end of the year (Hopefully)

 

May swap out a couple during the year depending on how I progress I plan to start ffxiv at some point but it's so long that idk if I will finish this year or not.

I switched my games so often in 2021 UR event, I am sticking to the ones that are close to be finished and add more over time. 4 out of the 5 games were started because of the Tag-Team-Event currently running. Not your typically 10/10 games but eh, they'll do. :>

Boring grind, but at least I took care of most of it last year, so all that was left was the 100 wins and 50 competitive matches. Took me longer than I thought, but I still managed to clear it out in one day. Not looking forward to repeating all of this for the EU version, especially since I'm now aware that the servers aren't cross-region, meaning I either need to find someone else with a Deathbringer to make my own Deathbringer off of to self-boost the rest of the game or I actually need to build one up from scratch myself, which sounds boring as all hell.

 

Not sure what I plan to do next from here apart from the endless idling for Evangelion pachinko and hopefully starting on Laser League grinding soon since it's now January.

Progress Update

Yep, second progress update for me on day one. I got excited and spent the day playing stuff.

 

Urban Trial Freestyle [PS3] - 100% Complete

I did pre-play this a bit in December as well like I did with Iconoclasts but I still had about a dozen levels I needed to 5 star for my final trophy. Based on what I had played in December where I was spending a couple hours on 2-3 levels I thought it would take me a little longer. But I managed to knock out all the remaining 5 stars needed in about four and a half hours. This means the last remaining trophy, the UR 'It's a lifestyle' is now mine. Only took me 7 years...

 

Jet Set Radio [Vita] - 0% --> 14%

And since I always like to have something on the go in rest mode on Vita I booted this up after polishing off Iconoclasts this morning. I can see why some say the vita version is not as good due to the smaller joysticks, but it isn't too bad so far. No UR's earned yet, those are late game, just earned the first story trophy, the grafitti customization trophy, and the trophy for completing the tutorial. This games tutorial is infamous for its difficulty considering its supposed to be for new players. But I didn't struggle that much, just took about 20 mins of practice before I was good enough to land the 50 tricks in one combo it asks.

 

I have always wanted to play this, and it seems really cool so far. Looking forward to playing more.

First game done and I can't believe I'm the second person to finish Iconoclasts on PS Vita in this event.

 

Overall, the game is not too hard with Challenge mode on NG+. A couple annoying bosses along the way but nothing extreme. I can definitely recommend and I think most people have this game in their library from PS+.

 

Now onto PS4 stack!

First game completed for this event

 

I played a lot of EA Sports UFC 2 in the last weeks and reached the end of the grind today and after that i had to complete most of the "tutorials" on a A rank (highest possbility) and that's that. Overall a game i'm not really happy with. I don't play many Beat 'em Ups and this one felt hard due to the different hitboxes (like head, torso, left arm etc.) and stamina needed for good attacks. The reason why i finished this is simply that i realised i can put the AI to easy and win most of the fights. Last time i played (pretty much two years ago) it was on normal ... brutal sport btw, i'm shocked how many injuries these people give themselves...

Completed the second game of my tier 1 : Hawken, a mech FPS. Sorry @Copanele I made you work on the first day of the year, and now also on the second 

 

 

Overall the game wasn't that great so I just worked on getting the trophies done and then left the building. 

 

By the way I wrote a review of Laser League on my checklist if anyone is interested. I won't do one for Hawken as it doesn't really seem necessary. 

 

Onto the next one now ?

I've updated my list for the start of the event since, one I finished KCD before January 1, and two these games fit in better with other events that I'm doing.  Some of yall are already completing games and I'm super impressed.  Let's make it a great year!
