Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
And I’m finished! I got Chicken Police for ‘Mystery/Detective themed’, I enjoyed it a lot, but I am a sucker for detective games, even terrible ones. I wish it was a little more like a classic adventure game than a visual novel, but the themes and visuals of the game were very striking and I did like the characters a lot. I decided to play Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star for something Christmassy and made it my ‘Inner Weeb’ game. I was originally playing Death end; re Quest for it, but I really didn’t get on with that game. This sequel to Hatoful Boyfriend has plenty of zany storylines with all the dateable birds from the first game. It also had a fun radio station section where the birds answered fan questions about the first game and gave more backstory to the different characters which I enjoyed. However, there was even less gameplay involved with this one, usually only a choice at the end of each storyline and that was a disappointment. Thank you @Squirlruler for hosting this event, it was a lot of fun and I ended up playing a lot of games I might have missed otherwise. Next year I’m aiming for 2 bingo boards

Popular Post SyIaris
Done! Beat Saints Row 3 and LEGO DC Super-Villains to finish my board. Not entirely happy with how much I deviated for my general plan at the start, but there were some good games in here. Plus side, that should make the "meant to play last year" square on my new board a lot easier than usual. Thank you, @Squirlruler, it was fun as always and I wound up trying some things outside of my usual as well as finishing up a handful of old games. Would not recommend Saints Row: The Third Remastered, as playing in co-op saw a pretty good number of crashes, lots of moderate and a few major bugs, and at least one glitched trophy on my friend's side. Game's good if it's your kind of thing, just too many technical problems in this version. While you do get a sword (and it's pretty fun to use), this really should not have gone in this slot. Should be hard to not stumble over a game with heavy sword usage with my tastes. LEGO DC Super-Villans does not like you trying to replay levels before you finish the story. It replays the transitioning-the-story-to-the-next-level cutscene(s) every time you exit back to the hub, and that gets pretty old with so many of them being unskippable. Has a weird little bug that makes the map random open on you, but not much else I've noted so far. It's not really grabbing me, but it certainly doesn't seem bad and it was a welcome PS+ title. I might leave cleanup for when I'm sick and want something simpler to play. Edited December 29, 2022 by SyIaris
Popular Post Age_kon
LEGO Rock Band and Temtem are the only ones I didn't get a platinum on, but I've finished the story and some extra stuff. I just realized that I didn't finish the story of Final Fantasy XIII this year, only the post-game stuff. So if that doesn't count then you can change that (Sci-Fi or Fantasy Themes) to Secret of Mana. Popular Post Penguin_boy18
Since I joined this event so late I wasn't able to get a ton done, but I at least got a bingo! I'm ready for next years though! This is my one and only update since I just kinda rushed through a bunch for the board + other challenges. October 15th: Amnesia for Ultra Rare Platinum - At the time of writing, the percentage is at 0.5% (PSN stats, not psnprofiles). Fun, spooky game. Liked playing it as I watched it as a kid through YouTube. October 17th: Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 for Customizable Hats. - Has hats for your custom characters. Run of the mill Lego game, but way too big for its own good. November 2nd: Superhot for Developed in a Foreign Country. - Developed by Superhot Team in Poland. Very neat and satisfying game to play. November 15th: God of War Ragnarok for Released in 2022. - The amazing game everyone anticipated. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and I felt like it kept getting bigger as I kept playing, though I did the side quest stuff as I came across it. Nevertheless had fun :). (Elden Ring still GOTY :D) November 19th: Quake for Cult Favorite. - Can't even talk about boomer shooters without Quake coming up as one of the originals. Amazing game and I really appreciated it. Also, check out the competitive side to Quake if you're interested, it's insane! November 26th: Assassin's Creed Unity for Historical Fiction or Mythology. - I mean....it's Assassin's Creed, of course it's Historical Fiction. This one is the French Revolution and it's.....lackluster to say the least. Still fun and the coop is a neat element, but definitely a low-tier game. December 3rd: while True: learn() for Underplayed - As of writing it has 391 players. You are tasked with making an artificial intelligence to convert cat to English using coding. Was really interested in the game since I am currently majoring in a technology field and was interested in the take of the study. Very fun game overall! December 12th: Dead Island: Riptide - Definitive Edition for Punctuation in Title. - Dead Island: Riptide, with a ":" in the title, is the sequel to Dead Island, that I don't believe was beloved as much or thought of as fondly. I found it enjoyable as I played it when I was young, but maybe that's just nostalgia glasses! December 16th: Toem for One Word Title. Very cute game and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Technically the full game is "Toem: A Photo Adventure" but PSN and psnprofiles has it as just "Toem" so I'm taking a liberty. Definitely recommend if you haven't played it yet though! December 21st: Xenon Valkyrie+ for Metroidvania or Rogue-like. - Very interesting pixel art rogue-like. One of the few games that starts with an X and isn't an instant platinum, or super long and difficult. December 26th: Dead Island - Definitive Edition for Spawned an Expanded Universe. - The cool zombie slasher of 2011. I had fun finally playing through this game with only my experience from Riptide. I enjoyed it! It definitely hasn't aged too well and I think Riptide has made many good changes, but good. It spawned Riptide, Escape Dead Island, Dead Island Retro Rampage, and eventually Dead Island 2! December 30th: Far Cry 6 for Player's Choice. - For my final game of the year to complete it is Far Cry 6! You can't go too wrong with a Far Cry game and this one was really fun! I thought it may be a little too big, but it was still enjoyable and I never found myself missing content. Would definitely say to play it if you like those games, but wait until you can snag it cheap. That's it for this Bingo challenge! Thanks @Squirlruler for hosting this challenge and I'm glad I was able to hop on when I did! Looking forward to the next one where I'll have the whole year!
Popular Post Cruscah
BINGO!!! For a moment I thought that I wouldn't be able to finish, thankfully I've managed to put my addictions aside and finally focused on completing my card. Thanks for hosting @Squirlruler, I'm not going to join BB2023 but I'll keep my eye on the thread to see what y'all are playing. That You Meant to Play Last Year: The Complex (27/12/2022) So many games would fit this item, decided to go with a short one to get it done in time. [...] The Witness [...] Thanks for all the recommendations @DrBloodmoney. Besides playing other games that you have recommended (and looking forward to play more of them), I've choose to save the spot for what's scientifically proven the 5th best game ever made ?. Considering how much of a puzzle guy you are, it's understandable seeing it that high in your ranking. To me? The second best from the genre, that's for sure (losing only to Portal), it's crazy to see how a simple concept can be insanely complex.
Popular Post Squirlruler
And that wraps up this year's bingos! We have an incredible 16 people with full bingo cards! That is truly amazing! Now, time for a little surprise! I have been talking with @DrBloodmoney and he graciously agreed to make some badges for the event! Samples: Spoiler And they look ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Since I did not announce this earlier, I am going to give everyone a week to post their final cards in order to get a badge before I close this thread.
Han_the_Dragon
Missed that post, but those look really funny and quite fitting for the event! Really a great extra surprise! Edit: Also, can't @DoctorDrPepper get an extra special one, since he got a double full card? (I think it would be fitting, since he is the Elite among the Elites). Popular Post DrBloodmoney
Badge Time! Hello Bingo Blue-Rinse Grandma Brigade! Well done to everyone who got some games completed for this event, big thanks to @Squirlruler for keeping the wheels greased, and the train on the tracks for the whole thing (again!) , and a great big thumbs up to everyone who had some fun during the event - I sure did! Badges below - let me know if there is any spelling issue on your name or anything, and I'll get it fixed. ⚠️ Emergency Note ⚠️ I've already noticed there was an issue with the list, where my good friend @Platinum_Vice had been scurrilously and outrageously left off it! ? This is entirely my own fault - (the list goes through about 7 different compilations and copy-pastes before it gets to the final badge-time, so easily done!), and I've corrected that egregious oversight already - but it does make me worried that someone else might have been missed! If you think you are supposed to have a badge (if you got at least one Bingo row done,) and don't have one below, PLEASE just let me know, and I'll have it hand-crafted and lovingly posted in two shakes of a grandma's bingo-wing! Remember, badges are made a little oversized, so if you need to resize or anything, just insert where you want to use it on the site, then double click on the image, and you should get this form: ...which will even work on occasion (provided you aren't using Safari!) Flitterbloom
The badges are awesome! Thank you for those, I'll proudly wear mine! I added only Wytchwood to my card (for "released in your birth month") since my last update, not enough to go for the three bingo lines, but I'll get better this year, no doubt! I had a lot of fun doing this event and seeing what everyone was playing, discovering new games too! Thank you for hosting the event.

Even without the badges, the Bingo Bonanza events I participated in the past were worth it, with no doubts, so this year I'll be more than happy to participate again. Amazaing badges like this are just a plus, but a worthy plus I must say!
