Spongebob Battle For Bikini Bottom Old school collectathon vibes with some platforming. Not hard but challenging enough. Having fun with Horizon Zero Dawn 2 I cannot express how disappointed in this game I am. Long dialogue dumps with multiple choices to hear even longer dialogue dumps. Was Horizon 1 this dialogue heavy? I find myself getting bored of looking at the same expressionless faces speak so I skip the dialogue - miss story elements - lose track of story and then have no idea why I am where I am. look up the story guide. Read where I'm up to and then play. Say next time will be different and I'll listen to the dialogue this time, only to rinse repeat. Combat is good, setting is awesome, robots are different and creative but you don't play a single player game to not know what the story is about. Finish a PS3, PS4, and PS5 platinum in the same month (Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 (PS3), World Quiz (PS4), and Tropico 6 (PS5)). I'll keep that one as my go-to for May. I always mean to do the most after the weekend is over, then get busy and don't. I have a few minutes here on Saturday, so I just decided to post now instead of not at all. I actually made good progress and was 0.5% above my goal, but started a new game, and now I'm back below 85%. I've done mostly PS3 gaming this month with a few small PS4 titles thrown in as I try to clean up old stuff I always meant to do. I have to say, it has been really satisfying this year as I finish off stuff from a long time ago. It kind of feels like cleaning up some mess I'd left dirty for a long time and finally getting it all clean. (Though that's not the perfect example because I'm having fun doing it too). Games I played this month: Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (PS3) 60% --> 100% Plat achieved! all DLC completed! Finally finished this one off. This is not my reigning longest time to completion on my profile with 10 years, 1 month(!!) of time elapsed between first trophy earned to final completion. The platinum wasn't too back and the DLC was pretty painless too. It's a good game that got overlooked back in the day and I enjoyed it a lot. It did take a while to get used to really low framerates again since we are spoiled with how much better games have gotten (technically speaking). I was lucky enough to have bought the DLC back when the game first came out (10+ years ago) so I wasn't locked out of the 100%. Yoku's Island Express (PS4) 0% --> 100% I've been feeling like doing a metroidvania style game for a while so I decided to go through this one. It's pretty well done and the plat isn't hard. There are just a few annoying collectibles to get. The gameplay is totally unique though. It's a metroidvania mashed up with pinball gameplay. It sounds weird and like it totally wouldn't work, but it really really does. It's really fun and totally worth doing just for the change of pace it offers. Urban Trial Freestyle (PS3) 33% --> 33% No trophy progress here, but I did make some progress on 5-starring some levels. This one can get pretty difficult and is going to be quite the grind. Untitled Goose Game (PS4) 0% --> 100% I've meant to get around to this one for a while and finally did. It's really quick and not hard. The speed run trophies are the most difficult but not really hard. They only to 2-3 attempts each. It's really silly and fun to just mess around being a jerk to everyone in town as the goose. If you want to do a chill fun game between some bigger projects, I totally recommend this one. Final Fantasy XIII (PS3) 1% --> 10% This is the first game I ever played when I first bought my PS3 over 10 years ago. I got one trophy, then never played it again. I've finally come back to it to complete it. I'm like 20 hours in (a lot of that is probably afk time though) and actually enjoying it. I get why everyone calls it "corridor simulator" because the level design thus far is very linear. It's supposed to open up eventually from what I hear. I like the combat and the leveling system so far too. When I finish it, it will take the win for longest time for completion on my profile and probably won't every be beaten. Sly 2: Band of Thieves (PS3) 0% --> 18% I just started this game a couple days ago to play with my kids at bedtime. Starting this game is what pushed my completion down below 85%. It's fun though and shouldn't take too long. Up Next: - Continue my way through FF XIII's story. - Pick away slowly and Urban Trial Freestyle. - Keep going through Sly 2. Will take my PSVita AND PSTV with me so hopefully I have some time for gaming. Metal Gear Solid HD : Snake eater - PSVita Replayed the game to get the Kerotan trophy. Glad I did it as it seems that you have to get them in one playthrough. Trophy popped with nr64. I think the two I did hit with a RPG in my first run didn't count, seems that more people had that issue. At least I got a game from the backlog done and the first PSVita game for this year. Overall a pretty good game! Battlefield 2042 - PS5 Grinding grinding grinding.....especially Hazard zone is though as sometimes people think they are Rambo instead taking it slow and tactical. If this continues I need to find myself a proper squad. Popular Post stuthesheep Posted May 29, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted May 29, 2022 Week 21 STARTING PERCENTAGE 73.80% The Walking Dead: Definitive Edition 90% -> 100% Shenmue II 0% -> 18% Week 21 ENDING PERCENTAGE 73.23% (-0.57%) Another slight backwards step this week. As expected TWD was finished off with the minimum of fuss for an easy plat and pushed my percentage completion very close to 74%, although I didn't check what the exact figure was since it's pretty irrelevant at this stage of the year. Decided to take on Shenmue II next as it's only been a couple of months since playing the first one and I thought it would be better to get it out of the way now while the mechanics were still reasonably fresh in my mind. Successfully achieved all the misssable trophies so far but not managed to find the time to make any more significant progress in it, a combination of work, the ongoing French Open tennis and, mostly thanks to Clementine et al, deciding to start re-watching The Walking Dead have limited my free hours somewhat. I should manage to make more of a dent in Shenmue this upcoming week though - got up to Season 6 of TWD now and if memory serves it's all downhill from there. Limping along, I hoped for redemption with the much-anticipated appearance of Negan, but the cheap season finale cliffhanger bludgeoned whatever hope I had to death. The writers and directors drank their own Kool-Aid and became convinced they were smarter than Robert Kirkman. They took the brilliant source material and turned it into a mindless ABC/NBC/CBS drama with predictable plots, stereotypical characters, mindless tropes, and cheap "Gotcha!" moments. After the first episode of the next season (an episode I didn't finish, only watching the first few minutes to the conclusion of Negan's "Eeny meeny miney mo" decision), I couldn't continue. I hope it's better for you the second time around, stu. The Telltale games with Clementine were much truer to the themes of the original TWD comic than the TWD/AMC series (after season 5), and Clementine isn't even part of Kirkman's comic. Congrats on finishing an amazing series. The bridge scene in the final episode, where the dying girl with the lovely voice is singing a beautiful song to intentionally draw walkers onto the bridge, was chilling. That was more unnerving than anything I've saw on the last two seasons of TWD. Hopefully your Shenmue II trophy journey is a blast! Been busy still been playing a bit just not as much as I would like, but that's life am I right? Going to do a quick update today since I have a few weeks to cover. I believe ended off on week 13. week 13 -> 14 85.29% -> 85.38% (0.09%) week 14 -> 15 85.38% -> 84.92% (0.46%) week 15 -> 16 84.92% -> 84.95% (0.03%) week 16 -> 17 84.95% -> 85.08% (0.13%) week 17 -> 18 85.08% -> 85.73% (0.65%) week 18 -> 19 85.73% -> 85.34% (0.39%) week 19 -> 20 85.34% -> 85.07% (0.27%) week 20 -> 21 85.07% -> 85.56% (0.49%) Games: Life is Strange (PS4) - funish game with an interesting story. I enjoyed it for the free PS+ game it was. (Week 14) Atelier Ryza 1 (PS4) - Very fun chill rpg. story was decent. Taking a small break before I go into the sequel (Week 15 - 18). Burnout Paradise (PS3) - 1 DLC finished - So I went back and cleaned up as much of the DLC trophies as I could for this game between which meant, I had to buy Big Surf Island, thankfully this was available to buy through the in game store still, couldn't get all of the trophies for that one though, but it did unlock some toy cars which let me get 2 of the 3 toy cars DLC trophies. And then buying a German copy of the ultimate box version of the game gave me access to the party pack DLC, which was the only DLC felt I could get 100% of the trophies as it is completely offline. Technically there are 4 more trophies I could possibly get if I can figure out how to get 3 of the 4 legendary cars (toy versions don't count) and the extreme hot rod from the boost dlc. Most likely will not be able too so I will have to call it at 80/98 total trophies. (Week 15 - 18) Pretty Girls Mahjong Solitaire (Green) (PS4) - Picked up both green and blue on the sale and am using them for easy gold trophies for another event. (Week 19) Sakura Wars (PS4) - Started this one on week 19 as well but put it on hold as I was getting close to 100 platinums and I want LOH:Cold Steel 4 to be 100. Stories Untold (PS4) - Picked this one up last year for cheap on sale, and since it didn't have platinum tied to it thought why not it isn't a long game and it sounded interesting. The story wasn't my cup of tea but it was bad either. The controls were a little hard to use at times, but I don't believe the developer has more than 2 or 3 games out on playstation so I can let it slide. (Week 20) Dragon Fantasy Book II (PS3) - This is an old one I forgot I had and since I feeling like playing something retroish I decided to go with this one instead of finishing up Sakura wars, maybe it is the creepy eyes of all the female characters in Sakura Wars that is putting me off.... Fun continuation to the first game, loved the snes style graphics. (week 20 - 21) Pretty Girls Mahjong Solitaire (Blue) (PS4) - This was the other one I needed some quick gold trophies from and it got me to 99 plats so I can start LOH: cold steel 4 tomorrow. (Week 21) So there we go I believe that fully catches me up and next week I will try to return my normal update style. Made progress in 3 games: COD: Ghosts Extinction is proving to be a drag solo and queueing for an online game takes longer than I expected, especially when it's telling me there are 25 to 30 games to join. I have gotten a few miscellaneous trophies in it but really need to level up some more to make better progress as I have only managed to just get to 3 of 4 areas. At least another 10 to 15 hours (probably more) will need to be invested if I want the platinum. I'm leaning towards skipping the one DLC I got with Gold Edition but maybe with leveling it will be bearable. Uncharted 4 Survival is equally as boring as Extinction is but when running solo it at least gives you an NPC partner. That said it's same crap different game but in this mode I have at least made it through all 10 levels leaving only the 2 hardest trophies. Solo, those 2 trophies will require me to reach max level as a character and with several weapons. That will be a significant time investment unless I can be carried, still not sure if it is worth it. Hitman 3 otherwise known as the game I am actually enjoying playing right now. ? Seriously H2 and H3 are some of the only games that I have really been able to turn off the trophy hunter in me and just play the game. That might be because I replaced trophies with completing the in game challenges but that's just semantics right? ? Right? ? Maybe it's because the challenges are largely more fun to complete than most trophies are nowadays so I'm just having a good time doing them. I completed all but 5 or so Escalations from Hitman and finally started playing the first level in 3. It is a skyscraper in Dubai and it offers some great views and was designed amazingly. There is a bar called Black Gold and the floor is black with gold sworls that look oil flowing, it was stunning to look at. Can't wait to see what else the game has in store for me! The last 10 plats have come slowly but I can happily say I hit the 100 plats club. Finished Spongebob this week - really had some fun. It's pretty easy but still enjoyable. damage_6-9 Posted May 30, 2022 Share Posted May 30, 2022 Pretty happy with this month, popped 1,343 trophies including 108 platinums,which gave me an increase of about 1.06%? largely down to doing my birthday rainday 6 weeks early, lol Popped 53 plats with no stacks for that, which jumped my game rank average from C to A . Also achieved a major personal milestone/goal which was to reach 100 consecutive PSN levels marked with a platinum (now sitting on 117). Now trying to attain 100 consecutive without any stacks. Have popped just under 7,000 trophies so far this year, but will definitely be slowing down from this point... the grind is VERY real for me.. a new game from start to plat now nets me a grand total of 0.01%, lol So my plan for the next couple of months is to: Only complete games already started- nice theory Not buy any new games- easy Not start any new games- could be problematic (have over 800 F ranked) Not upgrade my PS+ (thus avoiding the temptation of access to a few hundred new games, lol) - This is going to be difficult 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Only playing this sometimes, hardcore level 99 will be a long time project. Mortal Shell -> Very good soulslike game from an indie developer. Although the No-Shell run (1 hit from random trash or boss and you die) can be a bit rough, it is doable. Little Nightmares -> Funny platformer. The speedrun (finish maingame in one hour without dying) is not so much the problem it seems to be. Assassin's Creed Odyssey -> Having an "On and Off realtionship" with this game. Currently it is on hold again. Will continue playing it! Operation: Tango -> Girlfriend and I need only to complete all challenges with gold time and then only one misc trophy for the platinum. Mass Effect: Andromeda -> Finished the insanity run in NG+. The Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia -> As fan of the anime series I bought this game some time ago. Could be more polished, but was fun to play. My Big Sister -> Played the VITA version in 2020 and wanted more trophies without much time investment. Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry -> Consumed space on my harddrive I needed for other games, so I played and finished it. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order -> Started this game yesterday. I have managed some game time though, especially now that I've scratched that Elden Ring itch enough for now. Finished the following since I last posted: Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated- Just the break I needed after parting the elderly from their jewelry for a couple of months. I used to watch the show daily with my daughter when she was little so this was a trip down memory lane. Plus it was really fun. My Name Is Mayo 3- Trading a sore thumb for trophies in a nutshell. But I had to finish the trilogy right!? 60 Seconds Reatomized- A game I bought in a recent sale. You're tasked with keeping a family alive in a bomb shelter after a nuclear blast, managing and scavenging for supplies until rescue arrives or the family meets its end from lack of food and water or gangs of savage bandits. Very RNG but addicting. Also a shiny new UR as well. Fairly productive all things considered and I'm flirting with 80% completion now. Still quite a way to hit my goal, but hitting 80% will be motivating. Hope all of you are well and as always best of luck. Like I expected this is going to eat up all of my free time over the next several weeks as I've already put 45 hours into it and am only at 35% completion (which is just for the trophy requiring 100% on the in game completion list, I'll then need to do another playthrough of the story on the hardest difficulty as well), definitely one of my new favourite ever games though and has me looking forward to playing the rest of the series which if they are anywhere near as long as this is not what my backlog needs 6 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Really fun co-op game to play with my partner. The Witcher 3 25% - 88% So this is where the bulk of my gaming time went this month. Finished the first play through and done most of the DLC. Had one trophy glitch in Hearts of Stone but can get that on the next run. Few more missions in Blood and Wine and then Death March and it will be done! Getting a little burnt out on it. Cat Quest 2 0% - 17% I normally have a co-op game on the go to play with my partner so we picked this. Quite fun but a bit repetitive. No rush on this it'll get done and an easy plat. Gran Turismo 7 88% - 91% Finally got the 3 legendary cars trophy. All that's left is gold licences. Will pick this back up after The Witcher 3 and add it to the plat collection! Anyway been a decent month, had the Witcher on my account 7 years so pretty happy to be near the finish line on that one! Until next time ? I really haven't played too much besides Elden Ring in awhile though I did manage to complete at least a couple games this month. I took a further small hit to my completion gains as well because I started on Everybody's Golf which will be going offline by Sept 30th of this year. Hopefully a few months down the road these backwards steps will payoff with some actual progress. Elden Ring Still enjoying the game a lot and spending most of my time here. Spent many nights not caring about trophy progress. Its just great fun exploring the map, cleaning up dungeons and taking down world bosses that I have no regrets at all. It will be bittersweet when the game is completed finally. Chicken Police This game was fantastic. Everything about it just worked really well. The characters and the voice acting were great and the heavy noir vibes it gave off were exactly what it needed to make the game stand out. Im really hoping we see more from the infamous Chicken Police in the future. My Brother Rabbit This was my first go at an Artifex Mundi game (besides Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love) and it was pretty simplistic. My daughter came in part way through and decided she wanted to help me with the puzzles and finding the hidden objects. This made an enjoyable chill game even better. Everybody's Golf Finally started this one up this past month and will be chasing down the platinum before it goes offline this fall. I played it on an old account years ago but never did finish it up. This go around its do or die. Good thing the game is not too difficult and quite fun to play. Popular Post Fitzquaid Posted June 1, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted June 1, 2022 Month start: 47.91% Month end: 48.10% Started the month by finishing Sekiro which was absolutely brilliant, so I installed a bunch of other games hoping they'd be good follow-ups but none of them clicked for me. May ended up being a pretty bad month in general and I don't really feel like I did anything worth writing about, sadly.
