Made some decent progress in a few games this week, but I also started F1 Manager 2022 so that dropped my %.

I've mainly been focusing on Blue Reflection Second Light for the summer challenge. Beat the game once so now I just have to run through NG+ to get Talent Points and the few Locations I missed. It should be do-able by midnight Wednesday if I skip all the cutscenes. Other than that, I finally got the Slayer Supreme trophy in Dauntless. I also beat Cult of the Lamb, but I'll need to start a new save to get the plat. I'm going to get the last two no damage trophies that I need on my current save and then I'll start over for the follower / card / knucklebones ones.

No other plans for the week besides shotgunning 2nd Light. Once that's done I'll think about what to tackle next.

Update

Another end of the month update. While I did get some things done, life did take a lot of my gaming time. With that being said, all I was only able to complete was The Last Guardian, which I was not feeling, and the last few trophies for the 100% for The Last of Us. Nothing else was done but I'm ok with it. Hopefully next month will be a better month.

August was an interesting month for me... started with my run of

consecutive PSN Levels marked with a platinum coming to an end

at 189. So began my new mindset of not caring with a rainday of 51

plats, and a new personal best of 167 plats in a month.

Somehow, despite being called in to work for a heap of overtime shifts,

I managed an increase of 1.22% for the month, reaching 78.63%.

Next month will definitely be much more low key/sedate as I am going to Bali

for 28 days ???

Got a lot done this month, finally went back to Arkham Asylum (the combat challenges weren't anywhere near as painful as I was expecting) making it my new longest plat at 12 and a half years and I'm also on the verge of finally getting the plat for Red Dead Redemption (the multiplayer grind wasn't anywhere near as painful as I was expecting) which I'm going to make my 150th plat milestone.

Currently trying to decide if I want to commit hundreds of hours to getting good enough to platinum Tetris Effect after starting it last week, I really want to make a point of 100%'ing any new game I add to my list nowadays but I'm also not going to avoid difficult games I'm interested in to guarantee that, biggest concern is I put all of that time in and still end up not being good enough lol

Update

Time for a review of August's progress. Had a decent month and knocked out 9 games. It could have been better but I started Kona and then quickly decided I would put it off until closer to Halloween as it seems to be a murder mystery and Im willing to bet there is some supernatural something going on. Im avoiding spoilers so we shall see in the next month or so i guess.

Afterparty

Game was mostly done just had to make a different choice at the final drink-off battle.

35MM

Had to do a speedrun of the game to get that last ending I missed.

Deliver Us the Moon

Had the Stargazer trophy left to clean up which mostly just required jumping around out on the moons surface for a half hour.

Lost Words: Beyond the Page

Saw this on the PS+ Extra list and I had heard some rumblings about it so I figured why not. It had some unique gameplay and the story was pretty good.

Maquette

Had this in my backlog since it was a PS+ title early last year and seeing as how I was looking for a "0" game for the GbN event I decided to give it a go. I didn't really get this game to be honest. The puzzles were ok and kind of interesting but the "story" was a bizarre fit to the type of game. Then having to do a speedrun of each level as well was just annoying. While they weren't incredibly difficult after you had figured out the puzzles it did sour my experience as I didn't see the point other than to try extend length of game.

Everybody's Golf

Finished up the grind finally for the platinum. The game itself was a lot of fun but by the time i was done with everything I still needed to grind out 30+ tournament rounds just to fill the gallery and unlock the last Secret VS character. That got old fast but managed to get through it with plenty of time to spare before the server shutdown.

The Adventure Pals

I played most of this through co-op with my daughter and had some good fun with it. Made by the same developer as Cult of the Lamb which also looks really good.

Stray

The story was interesting and the gameplay was really well done. The only trophy I struggled a little with was Can't Cat-ch Me. It must have taken me an hour of trying before I had a clean run as if I didn't get caught by a Zurk at one of the harder pinch points I always seemed to get caught by an easy one to avoid in the next area. Eventually I had that one required clean run and then was left with the speedrun to complete the game. Wouldn't you know it I also had a clean run during my speedrun playthrough. haha

Her Majesty's SPIFFING

Been waiting forever for this to go on sale but it never does so I finally caved and just bought it. As expected the story was slightly ridiculous and cliche. It was a fun little point and click adventure even if it felt like a jr developer school project at times. Full price is really too high for this but now that I bought it expect a sale next week.

Congrats!! I'm on my way there too, grinding tournaments right now and 5/18 revenge characters done, should be able to finish mid september with spare time too hopefully

August was a productive month with the GBN event and cleaning up TLOU Remastered. New game completions are adding about .13%, so I probably need to focus on previously started games to really progress. Weekly Update Time.

Decided to play Watch Dogs again. I've previously played (and gotten the platinum for) the PS3 version. Got the ps4 version as part of the Season Pass for legion, so thought I'd give it a go again. The storyline for this one is probably my favourite of the 3. Gameplay is ok, but I feel the 2nd one massively improved on this. Just have a single side mission to go, and then beaitng the campaing, and I'll have the platinum done.

Watch Dogs Bad Blood DLC.

Strange Brigade's DLC finally went on sale for quite cheap, so that will be doen this wek also.

Beyond that, the ps5 version of Biuomutant is out this week, been wanting to give that a go for some time.

I am back from holiday, going back to work tomorrow. Did bring my Vita with me and played some backlog non started games. Didn't spend too much time on it but still made some nice progress:

Easy platformer, not so much to say about it. I am not so good when it comes to platforming and some levels were reasonable difficult, others were a walk in the park.

A not unexpectedly decent-sized improvement this week - Spongebob successfully endured and conquered, not the most difficult game I've ever played but the platforming was challenging enough in places to cause serious bouts of frustration - there's a special place in hell reserved for whoever came up with Squidward's Dream. Way too many collectibles as well, meaning the clean-up took a lot longer than I hoped. I'm just relieved nothing glitched anywhere so I don't have to play it ever again.

Also played WRoEF, not a game that adds a huge amount of additional earned trophies to the profile, but a rewarding couple of hours anyway,

Gone back down to the lower reaches of my profile now to try and finish off Disc Jam, before the online servers shut down at the end of this month and a couple of trophies become unobtainable. Played it for a couple of hours five years ago when it was on PS+ and got a decent amount marked off then and have picked up a few more over the last couple of days. The only real obstacle is to "Win 50 online public matches" which is a bit of a challenge for someone as generally unskilled and out of practice as me, not helped by seemingly always getting matched up with people who can actually play the game and can effortlessly destroy me. Managed to pick up a few wins here and there though, so I'm hopeful I'll be able to finish it up legit over the next few days rather than resorting to boosting, still plenty of the month left after all.

Woah this week went by fast! Feels like I did two updates in a row lol Just a little bit down the 4% increase now and the craziness of closing games is starting to slow down, Ubisoft closing games were postponed by a month and I took the opportunity to grab AC3Liberation HD (this game is going to be delisted on the same date of the servers closure) from the PS3 store bundled with AC Freedom Cry, I'm also planning on grabbing AC3Liberation for PSVita and do the online trophies during the month. Also got a boosting partner for Bomberman and should be done soon too (the online ones are not that hard)

Well after a bit of a break whilst having a go at Destiny 2 new season and finishing A Realm Reborn in Final Fantasy XIV, neither of which contributed squat to my completion %, however the latter did get over half way done with final ? for 1k levequests, probably 3 months left including sub break.

I’ve decided to call it with the game, did enjoy moments of the main quest, especially ending parts of A Realm Reborn but after starting Heavensward I’m just not gelling with delivery style enough to continue. I also decided to can playing Destiny 2 anymore, still love the gunplay but there is just too many systems & grinds & fomo elements I don’t care for anymore.

So onto this week, my plans are to start tackling my Fall backlog challenge games, actually made a start on The Evil Within , got me a trophy after completing it back in 2018 so hopefully that’s the spark to continue it until 100%. I wasn’t suppose to start until October but couldn’t help myself going back.

Elden Ring is also one of my games, continuing the playthrough - think I’m just about ready for Caelid, some funky stuff has gone down in my last 5-10 hours… no idea where the game is taking me but is fun!

I also started today a new game (also part of Fall challenge list), Borderlands 2, it added so many unearned trophys but I’m looking forward what is heralded as the best in the series.

Finally if I do find some time, possibly continuing on with my 50 hour in Persona 5 playthrough, in the palace from the beginning so hoping to find out what the hell is going on!!

Does mean a lot of diversity going on for the next few months but hoping it gets me out of the slight rut I had of not knowing what else to pair with Elden Ring.

Finished up Blue Reflection Second Light in time for the end of the summer challenge, and started chipping away at the rest of the Cult of the Lamb trophies. I'm sticking with my current, bugged save until I sacrifice 20 followers and get the last no hit boss trophy. Then I'll start a new save so I can actually get the follower, tarot cards, and knucklebones trophies on easy. My % still went down this week though because I tried out Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis. The New Genesis trophies are just an expansion in the greater PSO2 list though so I'll have to dip into the "old" game eventually. Not sure yet if I'll go for the 100% on the full list or just try to get it up to 60%. I'll see how much I'm still enjoying the game after another week or two.

Plans for this week are to start on one of my Fall Challenge games, keep playing PSO2NGS, and maybe some more Lamb or F1 Manager.

I did recently get a new longest completion done though. Finished Sonic 2 in 11 years and 2 months.

With 4 days of delay, but here it is: My post regarding my gaming advances on August.

This month was one dedicated to the "Assassins Creed" franchise, mostly because of one good reason: Getting all the online trophies from the AC PS3 games. So, i wasted no time.

Games played:

1.- Assassins Creed II: This one has no online trophies but i finished chapter 1 and got completed one mission in the second chapter before focusing my batteries on Brotherhood and Revelations. Also got some misc. trophies as an added bonus.

2.- Assassins Creed: Brotherhood. Besides getting all the online trophies out of the way, i finished both first chapters of Ezio and Desmond's stories. Big thanks to the people who helped me (especially with "Abstergo: Employee of the Month").

3.- Assassins Creed; Revelations. A bit more diverse trophywise BUT shorter than Brotherhood (and less grindy). Most of the online trophies are straightfoward and some of the DLC ones are easy to get (if you have a dedicated boosting group, you can get the DLC ones out of the way in one hour or less). Also, i enjoyed this more than Brotherhood because of the dossiers and videos that enriched the historical lore up to that date (2012).

Bad part for me: Readed the Ubisoft notice about the extended moth period because of the shutting online of the old AC PS3 game servers.Too many stress for nothing (well, at least the online stuff is a closed chapter for me).

Goals for september:

1.- Resume my Genshin Impact playthrough, update my characters, equip them with the best weapons and artifacts i have, advance the main storyline and unlock more AR (Adventure Rating). Of course, trying to get some trophies and exploring Sumeru is the cherry on the cake.

2.- Keep playing "Nickelodeon: All Star Brawl" and "Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated" to progress in both games (and finishing them off ASAP).

3.- Start "Multiversus" (yes, got hooked by the game).

Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors (40% -> 100%):

This was a nice game, enjoyed it just as much as the first one. With this one complete, I will be heading back to Sega Hard Girls to make progress with.

Super Dimension Neptunia Vs Sega Hard Girls (13% -> 27%):

No progress here this week, been fairly hectic. Lol

Nick-All stars got some progress. Was able to boost all the online stuff with a random person from the sessions. Got a little bit in Assassins Creed 2, need to dedicate more time to that. Might end up doing some Cod: Black Ops since I found my disk. That would really help my completion. Borderlands 3 will making progress with my brothers. That will really get complete once we finish the story, which we are slowly getting through I figure if I can finish up the unfinished games at the top of my profile that will get me around 88%, hopefully can do most of that before the end of Sept. But who knows.

Thanks! I need to check how that MP actually works cause I have no idea, I did play the game back in the day but don't have it anymore and did not touch the MP at that time
