Starting off on a positive note this year so far. Just finished a game called Find Me, a short and sweet platformer that was surprisingly fun. That bumped me up .07% and completes my first monthly challenge, complete a new game added to your profile that month. Already feeling good about my chances this year!

That's awesome, thanks! As for next I have some incomplete games I want to work on but nothing specific at this time. Maybe a UR trophy in there to get another challenge notched off.

Just completed Arcade Spirits which also covers the challenge to complete the most common plat on my profile since it was a leftover from last month that has a rarity of 63.07%.  Not a game I'd recommend though.  It's a VN with the absolute worst controls I've ever seen.  For some reason, it wouldn't allow for manually advancing text, which is probably the stupidest thing I've ever seen in a VN.  On top of that, it's speed settings for auto forward didn't allow enough options so your choices were too slow or too fast.  It's like the game just wants you to skip reading because it made doing so such a hassle.

 

And that brings me to 98.22%

Monday update!

 

Like last year, i will post a weekly update on Monday. So here is the first one, although it only covers 2 days of gaming...

 

Demon Souls (PS5)

Started this game at the end of the last year. really enjoying the game so far. First time I actually used a magic build in a souls game and liking it so far. The atmosphere of the game is superb, the enemies and bosses are so typical for the series. A gem.

 

BF 2042 (PS5)

Still have a couple of trophies left but I am just enjoying the game. I probably will only notify in this thread when a trophy pops , not a real focus for the trophies at the moment.

Started a few new games so, as promised, my PCG dropped to start the year. Ah well. It would have been worse but I finished a few easy games for the Difficulty Challenge. I'm now officially out of trashy, cheap plats so I have to focus on actually completing my backlog. Let the slow climb to 60% begin!

My goal is 90% completion. That might not sound like much coming from 89%, but it is. It’s taken two years to get from 83 to 89%.
 

Many of the trophies that stand in my way are the tough PS3 ones I didn’t complete in the early 2010s:  I’m having to relearn games and rush to finish multiplayer trophies before PS3 servers shut down. Often it’s only one or two trophies that keep me from 100% completion, but those trophies are the toughest in the game. Many PS3 saves were corrupted or rewritten due to a goof-up with PSN auto-sync across two PS3 consoles, so hundreds of hours of progress were lost.

 

 

Anyway, 1st progress for 2022 is Dead Nation: 100% complete after almost ten years on the backlog! Thanks to TF141_Pegasus for help with Dynamic Duo.

First week, first update! Going to try and keep the consistency of Monday updates like @gladiatorrrrrrr.

 

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Finished almost everything there is, just working through the NG+ missions and buying all the suits. Going to do a mission a day or so for a while. hoping to finish this by next week but will see!

 

Battlefield 2042

Playing this with friends mostly. Slowly working towards the T1 trophies, will probably play this throughout the year, but need to start focussing on  Hazard Zone for the platinum.

 

Doom 2016

My first backlog project of 2022. Cleaned up the MP trophies of the main game this weekend and I'm actually enjoying them. Might keep playing here and there while doing the campaign as well.

 

 

Next week:

Progress on both Spider-Man and Doom 2016 as well as starting Battle Rock Galactic when it launches on PS+. Going to be a slow burn but looking forward to playing that with my mates.

I think I am going to try to do weekly updates as well, though they won't be nearly as meaty as some of the others lol.

 

Darkest Dungeon: (91% ->100%)

After nearly a month of grinding, I finally finished Stygian difficulty. While not that difficult, it did take a long time to get to a place where I could finish the last dungeons and get the plat and 100%. I had already completed the rest of the trophies in the previous difficulty. Really good game, don't be too intimidated. There is a stress exploit that makes that mechanic nearly moot and really lowers the difficulty.

 

Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart: (0% -> 13%)

This is my next vita game I am playing. I love this series. This game is a change from the main series of it, and plays like a Fire Emblem game which I have been craving something like that for a while. I could have gotten the percentage higher, but I am trying to have a trophy streak throughout the year so I am keeping some of the easier trophies available in case I need a quick pop.

 

Dead Cells: (58% -> 60%)

This game dumped a ton of new DLC trophies so I am going back to this. I need to play at least 2 play throughs because I have to get BC5 unlocked and then beat it through that. I ended up buying the two previous released DLCs so I am going through those now. Need to put some time aside to play this more.

 

Other games I am playing but not much update:

Demon Souls: Need to just sit and play, I wish I had more time lmao.

Final Fantasy 14: Still in the previous expac, so just need to play the story.

Lego Villains: Playing with the kiddo, so this will probably grow slowly. Very slowly lol.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake: I am realizing I am playing too make games at once....

Minecraft Dungeons: They started a season thing so doing that... gonna be such a grind. Need the 4-pack DLC to go on sale though. Hopefully soon.

Star Wars Battlefront II 

 

This has been my main focus for a while. I don't usually play FPS games on consoles because I grew up on PC and therefore I suck using a game pad when it comes to anything competitive. However, I got this for free on release, played it a bunch and then kinda left it. Now with all the updates it's a damn fine game. I've been slowly eating away at various trophies and only have two left. Hitting Level 50 cap which is easily achieved with double/triple XP and then the "multi-tasking" trophy, which, following some experimenting, I've hit the right method for. So hopefully that will be completed this week.

Just one trophy left for this and it's getting S-Rank on every level. Out of the 40 levels I've done about 27 so it's getting there and it's really just about grinding out the super tricky ones. 

 

Assassins Creed: Unity 

 

I bloody hate playing things out of order of release/chronology so given I hadn't played an AC game since Black Flag, this was the next stop. It's alright and has gotten better as time has gone on. Christ, there is a lot of collectables and I still need to sort out the enigma and co-op trophies. 

 

That's pretty much it currently. After that I'm going to focus on some PS3 stuff. Luckily, I got my PS3 about a year before the Ps4 came out so I don't have many games to clear up that I can still clear up. A lot are now unobtainable platinums. 

 

Do folk bother with them? Like do you squeeze out every possible trophy for say Fifa 11 or Resistance 2, even if you can't get the plat or just don't bother?

I’ll do my weekly update on Monday for the first few weeks since I don’t work Mondays. But that will change to Wednesday when i go back to college.

 

I mainly worked on two games this week. With another game I play for fun.

 

Starting Completion Rate - 83.16%

The Forest - Was around 33%. I forget. Now 88%

 

Been wanting to go back for this. I mainly only did the story with my sister and never went back for the trophies. Now that I have beaten the game. I’m finally going back to finish this game. Mainly got one Multiplayer trophy left and one play though while being vegan. The rest Is just play for 100 days and I’ll let that idle while I’m at work. Should have the platinum by my next update. 
 

Black Clover: Quartet Knights - Was 93% - Now 100% 

 

 I got the platinum back in august of 2021. But I never went back to the extremely easy DLC which required you to play one challenge per each character DLC. Only took me like 30mins to fully 100% the game

If it is not late, i wll ask to join. I am sitting right now on 31.28% completion and i will try to get up 5%. Right now with my "videogame policy" of getting the trophies of my digital games first and platting the ones with the highest percentage of completion first and going downward, maybe i can snatch some "goals".

Yeah I'm happy to chuck some advice out. I was thinking about doing an updated guide or maybe just a forum post for it but I've never done either before ?

Everyone should be added. PLEASE NOTE. If you signed up after the 1st, and you earned trophies, your stats will be reflective from when I added you. I am not going to try to re-calculate stats like previous years. Just too difficult and takes too much time. Plus I don't want to re-figure out the formulas again since I didn't make notes lol. Oh well. So the sooner you sign up, the more accurate your January stats will be.
