stuthesheep Posted November 20, 2022 Share Posted November 20, 2022 (edited) Week 46 STARTING PERCENTAGE 79.12% Dragon Age: Inquisition 22% -> 28% Week 46 ENDING PERCENTAGE 79.21% (+0.09%) Another one of those weeks that shows the downside of weekly updates, not much going on progress-wise - but after 46 weeks it's a bit late to say "Sack it" now. Despite the lack of numerical trophy advancement, still some decent progress made. I *think* all the missable trophies are now taken care of, including the "make friends" trophy, which means that there'll now be no more need for nonsense like "Well, there's a giant rift in space and time and an insane demon is trying to destroy the world, but let's travel to the other side of the world so you can tackle your daddy issues first" or "Someone wronged you 20 years ago, let's go and get some needless and pointless revenge before civilisation collapses". Needless to say, a lot of sidequests, some a lot more relevant, rewarding and enjoyable than others, so it's also a chance to test out various builds and party battle tactics in preparation for the second Nightmare run, which promises to be a whole different monster. The completionist in me also doesn't really want to leave anything on the board quest-wise, story irrelevance notwithstanding. I dread to think what my final total hours sunk into this game will be. Hopefully will be able to make some more story progress over the next week, as well as ticking off a few of the grindier trophies, plenty of groundwork done now in most of them - so next week's update should be a bit more significant. Will also have to make an effort to finally get the Onrush trophies I'm still missing at some point in the next few days, time is ticking on after all. I am having slow weeks in gaming but nevertheless made some progress Resident Evil - Revelations 2 - PSVita By-passed the crashing point and have finished the game. Actually pretty good game in my opinion. Mopped up the last Gold Medal challenge trophy and now I have only left 2 episodes in invisible and countdown mode. Slowly getting there! Far Cry 5 + DLC (4/4) -PS4 Defeated Jacob's territory and took on the final boss in the weekend. Got my very last trophy on far Cry 5 for playing teh game in Infamous mode. A nice 100% game on my list. What Remains of Edith Finch - PS5 Found out that you could upgrade the free plus game to PS5 which includes a platinum ?. Wanted to learn why people are raving about this indie game. Wouldn't call it a game but more an experience/audio book. Super sad story ?. But a beautiful game! No progress Call of Duty MW3 + DLC (0/4) - PS3 Steamworld Dig - PSVita Current status Plans for next week - continue RE Rev 2 - PSVita - might pick up SW BF II again... For Emperor, Sergen has posted a detailed solo build for it which I intend to follow at some point. Nothing super exciting but I imagine some of it will be of use. Here's the link about Emperor: I sorely wish trophy list deletion was completely unlocked so to speak. Slowly making our way through and enjoying it. Firewatch (PS4) 0% --> 100% (non plat game) I played this on PC long ago and decided I wanted to make way through it again. It's really enjoyable and I think the story and voice acting are fantastic. This time I played through with developer commentary turned on and enjoyed the extra insight into the development of the game. A quick pleasant way to spend an afternoon. This was another low stress indie game I've been wanting to get to for a while, but had put it off as I was completing Kingdom Hearts II for plat #100 last month. I know a lot of you have already played it and I found it absolutely delightful. Great game. Lucky's Tale (PSVR) 0% --> 72% Keeping up with my trend of playing simple games, I had the urge to play some VR so started this game thinking it would be a simple low stress VR platformer to complete..... Well, the game itself was easy, but I didn't do my homework enough and it turns out there is a trophy for completing the game in time trial mode and oooo boy are the gold medal requirements unforgiving. It's turning out to be a very stressful platinum. Who'd have thought?! Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves (PSVR) 0% --> 2% I started playing this one with my kids last night and this is the reason I have negative progress this update. It wont stay that way for long though! I really liked number 1, but number 2 didn't gel with me as much. I'm hoping I like this one more again. Up Next: My gaming time has suddenly become very limited over the last week as most of my free time is now dedicated to watching the World Cup. I haven't missed a game yet, although waking up at 2 am every day to catch everything is starting to wear me down lol. Here's what I plan to do when not glued to the world cup: - It Takes Two - I will slowly continue this with my wife as time allows. - Keep working on Lucky's Tale's infuriating time trials. - Play Sly 3 with my kids here and there. - I've got The Last of Us Remastered download on my PS5 and will start this soon as my next big project to clean up off of my backlog now that I've taken a break from more demanding games. Life, changing of pace, job and place to live took me a bit to get the hang of it. So, lets begin. In september i focused in 5 games: 1,- Multiversus. Just got 2 trophies. A wasted effort on trying to get into the game having more to attend. 2.- Genshin Impact. Got 2 trophies as the result of exploring Sumeru (Getting the Dendro power and lightining the first part of Sumeru's map). 3.- Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. Got 4 trophies out of the way by playing some games. Maybe will return to it later. 4.- Lego Ninjago Movie: The Videogame. Tried to get it as a fast plat but between the lack of free time and my mood for not playing anything, got stuck there and left the game. RIght now, this game is in the limbo. Worst, knowing that it has a glitch for the collectables. 5.- Injustice: Gods Among Us. Got some MP trophies thanks to some boosting. Popular Post stuthesheep Posted November 27, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted November 27, 2022 Week 47 STARTING PERCENTAGE 79.21% Onrush 91% -> 100% Dragon Age: Inquisition 28% -> 33% Week 47 ENDING PERCENTAGE 79.39% (+0.18%) Another one slightly affected by the World Cup here despite my country's lack of involvement - we heroically and honourably laid down for Ukraine in a playoff in the summer, yet another reason to regard the Welsh with a degree of contempt and disdain (unless they win handsomely in a couple of days of course!). Fortunately I've not had to deal with 2am starts to watch it, all due sympathies to Llobster and everyone else watching it on the lame side of the pond, I vividly remember putting in hours like that during Korea/Japan 2002 - even though we didn't qualify for that one either, bit of a recurring theme there! Anyway, finally nailed the final Onrush trophies - the hardest part was trying to figure out how to work Discord for the boosting session without resorting to asking for help and going through the inevitable mocking from my teenage son. Managed to struggle through somehow and the trophies fell reasonably quickly after that. Enjoyed the game and I'm glad I played it before the shutdown, good dumb fun. Trucking on with Inquisition, no real story progress made this week thanks to sidequest-mania, but a few of the grindier trophies are now done and a couple more should be teetering on the brink of pinging by now, so the percentage should look a bit healthier next week. Unfortunately 2017 me didn't realise the difference between the Deluxe Edition and the GOTY edition so I don't actually have the DLCs, so the highest completion I can get in a best case scenario for now is 66%. Still, considering it spent over five years idling at 1% until a few weeks ago I'm sure a higher completion figure can wait a little while longer until the DLCs go on sale again - certainly not paying full price for them. The DLC is pretty good and the real ending that sets up DA4 is in Trespasser. The Descent was really interesting, especially if you like DA dwarves, left me with a lot of questions about some things (as did Trespasser). The first DLC is all about discovering what happened to the first Inquisitor and I had a good time with it. Definitely pick them all up when you get the chance! As for me, the move is done and the unpacking is well underway. New internet is setup and I went ahead and upgraded to PS+ Premium for the remainder of my current subscription, still debating on whether or not to stack another year. I booted up Hitman 3 and got the free PS5 upgrade and subsequently a free platinum trophy, seeing as Hitman 2 lacks a platinum trophy this is my unofficial H2 platinum. ? Since my PS3 is once more no longer reading discs, Premium offers me a way to play several games I don't have real access to for the time being. This includes Fallout New Vegas but it won't recognize my existing save since it is not Ultimate Edition that is available to stream. ? I want to complete all of the Sly (just need Thieves in Time and Bentley's Hackpack) and Infamous games (just need #2) so I started Bentley's Hackpack. It's just 3 minigames, 2 are pretty good but the third is motion controls and sucks. Managed to get about halfway through so far and am 91.74% overall completion. Made a little more progress in both Dragon Ball games, but haven't touched either in like a week. I also finally finished Criminal Girls. I complained about it enough in the Fall challenge thread so I'll just say I'm glad to be done with it and moving on. I don't think I'm going to succeed in any of the challenges I signed up for this year so I'm just going to ride out December by playing whatever. Still going to try and get as close to 60% as I can, but if I do this again next year I'm only going for that 5% increase. Have a good week! Here are some personal options that should boost quite considerably your completion: Rocket League - If you have access to the DLCs, a lot of the trophies can be done in exhibition matches with specific settings to get them done really quick. Kingdom Hearts - The original is difficult to get to grips with, but when you do you will fly through the story. Batman: Arkham City - I will always recommend the Arkham games because they are fun, challenging but also give you trophies on the semi-regular as you do side missions and the main story. Assassins Creed: Black Flag - One of the best AC games with plenty to do and not to difficult to complete. Once you've got to Chapter 9-11, lots of options for trophies to pop. Don't about the online so much unless you want to. Guacmelee STCE - This game is great, colourful, fun and for the uninitiated will seem like a lot. penultimate update. Only one more to go. The last one will have year stats as well as the normal monthly stats. How has everyone done this year? Did you make your goal? I will probably not make my goal. I will make progress though, which is better than not. I think I will only need to start one more game this year for the Bingo event, other than that, it will be just cleaning up several games I am working on. I was hoping to try to knock out Gris before this update, but that didn't happen. Oh well, should only be another day or so. I'm hoping with all the clean up I plan on doing this month to get to about 89% completion. Would be about half my goal, oh well. At least I will have room to improve for next year I haven't done a game update so might as well get that done with this post: Borderlands 3 (68% -> 85%): Finished the first 4 DLCs, now need the last two to go on sale for a reasonable price (<$10). Hopefully that is soon and I can put this game up. A Rose in the Twilight (12% -> 86%): Finished the game, got everything done except the time attack stuffs, so going to start working on that.
