I’m pretty sure they’re referring to the upgrade being available, but actually costing money, and not being a free upgrade. They probably mean PSPlus players now have the option to upgrade, for a fee, to the PS5 version. As of right now the PSPlus version of FF7Remake does not entitle you to a $10 upgrade. It actually tells you that the upgrade is "not available for purchase" if you only have the PSPlus version. Turns out I was wrong. The DLC story is a separate arc outside the main game so you can play it without progressing the main story. 100% clearing the DLC trophies would need some main story progress though.
