Any Rampage Tips?

I finished everything other than rampages but i think i made a mistake by not doing them first. After the missions that made gangs weaponed, it really struggles me to complete rampages. Is there any tip for completing them. Mafias kill me with 1-2 shots of shotgun even if i wear armor.

take a tank, activate the rampage and get into the tank and kill people with a shot!  (do not crush).  So you can go through all the missions, the same thing works in vice city too

I saw a video on YouTube where if you have a 1 star cop level, stop your car on top of a foot chasing police man without killing him then the gangs don’t go aggro at you. I tried it on one of mine burning the Yakuza and it worked a treat.

Does anyone know if you die soon after completing a rampage if the game saves your progress?

If it says you’ve completed it but then die straight away it still counts (or at least on the social club it’s said I’ve got 10 of them and I’d had that same thing a few times)
