Should i wait for the PS5 upgrade?

Bought the game a few months back but never played that much of it, but i hear it's a great game. 

 

Should i start playing it soon or wait till the PS5 version gets released?

Maybe, since the PS5 version might perform better. I've seen plenty of crashes, bugs, and other oddities during my playthrough on PS4 Pro.

I also got the PS4 version recently, but as I learnt about the PS5 upgrade, I'm definitely waiting until it comes out. However, I did complete the game upon release on PC, but I never played the DLCs.

Never played it myself. I do too have a copy because how great I heard it is but I am in no rush so personally, I'm just waiting for the PS5 upgrade to come out.

Honestly, I would. You'll only kick yourself if you fall in love with the game and a better version comes out just after you finish it

I've platted it twice over, and I plan on doing the third plat someday. I recommend you play the version you have and see if you enjoy it or not before shelling out some money for the PS5 version.

Just play the PS4 version now, especially if you own a PS5. I'm sure there are improvements.

if you are interested in auto pop stack  you should play ps4 version 1st  you might not be able to do reverses auto pop for ps4  if you play ps5

Play it now, start with a deathmarch difficulty for a full experience. I had no issues playing a complete edition on ps4.

I would wait, it's quite a long game and the load times take a while. The menu also loads up slow when you bring it up in game. It has a lot to gain performance wise on ps5.

i thought about starting the plat. but i'm going to wait just in case they introduce some DLC to the ps4 version. if i start early and they add it. it's a loss of internet data due to the size of the game.

Kept waiting to play this with each new announcement of delays annoying me more and more. decided i couldnt wait anymore after they said not second quarter but end 2022. havent regretted my decision one bit its alot of fun. i am still in the starting area white orchard but have cleared just about all the question marks and explored the whole area coz the side content is so good. happy i am playing it and it runs great on my ps5 even though its not the enhanced version. 

 

my advice to anyone that cant wait is dont wait, you will have a blast as is

Honestly, other than abysmal loading times(~3 minutes after death)  in Velen, Witcher 3 was fine even on release. It also was PS4Pro enhanced.  But honestly, if you waited 7 years, another half a year is not so far away.

I tried to play it in 2020 - it crashed and corrupted my PS4 Pro database twice within the first hour of gameplay. (that's with a full re-download after the first time.)

 

Tread carefully with CD Project Red - their ambition is admirable, but their technical prowess does not seem to up to matching it, as far as I can tell - at least on console.

i did think about that but i have nothing i really want to play that badly. load times and fast travel are super fast and i am still enjoying how it looks and plays. so decided not to wait on the chance, and there is a chance, that CDPR pushes it out again. I might be done with it by then if not maybe i will be able to upgrade and continue and if not at least i enjoyed all this time.
