Nightmare Mode

I know you only get checkpoints after each act is completed but is it possible to make back up saves along the way and then load them up as you die, and if so how do you actually go about doing it? like for example you can with the game little nightmares

Hi there,

 

I think that is not possible, because you have to finish the game without quiting the game. So if you go to the Ps menu, you will have to star again this Nightmare Mode.
