Haven't posted an update in a fair while, so here goes. Finished Cyberpunk 2077 and Landflix Odyssey. Also made progress in Songbird Symphony and Curse of the Dead Gods. This year has been a mess, overall, but hopefully I can get at least a few more platinums before the end of the year.

 

Unfortunately I missed my goal of completing Cyberpunk 2077 in September by just a few days, meaning September is a gameless month for me. Nothing completed this month yet, but that should change.

 

Besides that, since the OP has disappeared, are we planning to continue this event for 2023? I quite like the idea of this setup, overall.

Ratchet & Clank now done and what a brilliant game. It was a little short, but I don't think too short. It avoided having them previous annoying trophies like leveling up every weapon, collecting a million bolts etc and it really highlights what to expect when games stop being cross gen and focus on next gen only. 

Sonic forces finally done as well taking my months tally up to 5 so far but god that was the worst sonic game I've ever played and glad it's over

Finally getting around to posting an update—lots going on, so I've been in an awful mood, and gaming hasn't seemed very appealing. I had hoped to accomplish more, but the most I could manage in November was finishing Mortal Shell, Streets of Rage 4, and The Surge 2. I'm also about halfway through Rebel Galaxy Outlaw now, which has the roughest progression I've experienced in a while. Daring to upgrade your ship from the starting junker makes the poorly conceived difficulty scaling go crazy, and you've suddenly got a dozen enemy craft obliterating you with missile spam in early missions. Traveling around is also extraordinarily tedious, since you're constantly interrupted by hostiles, distress signals, ships in your path, and various transition cutscenes. The first game had similar issues, but I don't remember it being quite this painful to play.

 

Yeah, for the most part, I enjoy the format of this event too. Must admit, though, the original host going AWOL really hurt my motivation to continue, because prizes were offered, and the main reason I'll even bother to join a contest on here is the small chance of winning something. At least we've made the best of it, thanks mostly to Blazzing stepping in so competently. And don't worry, I haven't forgotten my promise to send the winner a US PSN code. Seems to me that Crancian is going to take this handily.

 

I'm actually dreading my inevitable return to Battlechasers and Deus Ex... Honestly, I have no recollection of where I left off, or even how to play them. It's always terribly awkward to revisit an abandoned game from the past; harder than starting a new game, I think. If I'm somehow able to beat them before the end, I'll add another game or two to the list. I'm thinking Little Nightmares would be a good choice, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

Done with Mankind Divided! A solid immersive sim for sure, but it definitely felt like a partially completed game compared to Human Revolution. When focusing on the rushed story (you just speed through main missions during the hard difficulty run), it's a shockingly brief experience. On the positive side, I enjoyed how augmented abilities were more powerful and varied this time, and the downloadable content helped flesh out the game somewhat, at least. I'm curious what happened during development, but I wouldn't be surprised if devoting valuable resources to making the dreadfully boring and tacked on Breach Mode was part of the problem. Encouraged by the greedy publisher to sell microtransactions, perhaps? The open world city hub might have been too ambitious as well, but I could be wildly off base with my speculation here.

 

Will move on to Battlechasers soon—my final game, unless I have time to add another afterwards. Never thought I'd actually get through my list, but it's looking quite possible now.

Fantastic work, @BlazzingWind—you rescued this event so masterfully, one would think you were the host all along! And thanks again for the generous gift. ? I'm very pleased with the outcome, since I joined quite late, and certainly didn't expect to finish my list in time. Only 43 more installed games to catch up on now! ?

 

I just noticed that @Crancian has a JP account, so I'm not sure if they still want this US PSN code I have lying around. Please let me know if you do, or I'll offer it to someone else, I guess.

I'm not gonna lie but I stopped caring about this when I noticed OP went missing, hopefully he is okay and just dropped videogames.

 

But @BlazzingWind did an amazing job, taking what was left and even if we didn't posted in the thread, he still checked our profiles (love you man, I can't imagine how tedious it was) and did the math to get everything correct.

 

But now, I have to be a ♥ and someone should ask, Is this event going to be live for 2023? Or it would be a fun memento thing we did in 2022? ?

I decided to throw my hat in the ring and carry on the event. So if you would like to officially join, it is live.

 

If not, I understand and this can just be a one time event.

 

I checked profiles because I understand people get busy and don't remember/have time to post. I didn't want people to miss points just because I wasn't willing to do some legwork.

Thank you @BlazzingWind for keeping up with the event and keeping everyone’s stuff up to date! And congratulations to everyone for all the backlog progress you all made!

 

I definitely faded out in the second half of the year  due to getting ready to become a mother lol, but made a ton of progress on my backlog due to this event regardless which I’m ecstatic about. I hope the original creator on this is doing okay. Their disappearance from the forums was really sudden
