Since more people are joining now, I will be doing updates less frequently - probably a couple times per month (maybe around the 1st and the 15th. I figure once we get around 50-60 people, close off sign-ups. I plan to make a rule that says something like: "If you don't earn any points or complete a backlog game for three months in a row - or sit at 0 points for three months in a row - you will be removed from the competition and someone in the reserves will take your place. Once we get those 50-60 people, I'll start a reservation list of other people who are interested in joining so that others can join in too! I don't think I'll be able to manage letting everyone sign up indefinitely.

Game number 2 done and March’s game done

Tomb raider was a really good game with a decent story, the variations with the tombs and crypts varied and I enjoyed it enough to buy the dlc for it as well. The bad parts of the game for me was the repetitive nature of the dlcs etc time attack then score attack plus finishing them in story as well was a bit too much. Also the hard difficulty wasn’t so much hard but frustrating when your last camp fire was miles away and you die during a parkour segment in a dumb way and needed to repeat like half hours work. 

overall I’d rate the game 6/10

Got my game done for the month - The Walking Dead: Michonne. Not much to say about the game other than I think out of all the Walking Dead games it might be my least favorite, and maybe even telltale games in general. I was thinking I had the PS3 version as well, so I was going to do both of them at the same time. I went through my download list on ps3 several times and didn't see it. Don't know why I thought I had bought it.... Maybe I did on a different account. I did the Game of Thrones games at the same time. Just sitting my monitor beside my TV and letting the games play at the same time. Saved me an extra 10-15 hours.

We're in for some points for the month boys??Got to finish Middle-Earth: Shadow of War. The experience was meh. Didn't feel like story was nearly as good as the first one. That 2nd DLC was plain boring but it's fine. We're done and moved on to my next game, the classic My Name is Mayo 2?I must admit. I enjoyed more than I thought I would. Developers really tried to expand on it and loved it. Perhaps, I'm able to finish another game before the month ends.

Quick question, how do you track games where you already got the platinum and all you're missing is the 100%? Do they count as full backlog games?

Yeah, I don't require 100% for any game that has a plat. You don't have to do DLC for it to count.

Glad I asked. Both Last of Us games are already platted and just need a handful of trophies for their respective 100% so they wouldn't count for the event. Should be able to change them next month when the window of editing our list is up. Thanks

I’ve got a question. Is there a limit on the percentage a game may have to be able to add it to your list? I have a handful of games missing just a couple of trophies that I put down due to specific reasons. Mainly grindy trophies or extra play throughs. Are these eligible to add in April?

No, there is no limit to the amount of percentage a game can have to be eligible. Since I know so often those last few trophies are actually the hardest/most time consuming to get, I figured it wasn't necessary to set a limit. You can add a game where you only need 1 trophy for the plat and it'll still count.

Oh, I see what you mean. Sorry, I thought you meant you planned to do a game with a plat but weren't going for the DLC trophies. Yeah, I'll count games you've already platinumed but still need 100%. I don't see how this is any different from allowing 100% games without plats to count. You're fine for The Last of Us games. You dont have to remove them unless you wanted to.

Let's go ? We're back for another update. Don't think I've ever updated this frequently. I completed Oddworld: New N' Tasty and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Now, I'm just gonna jump into Oddworld: Soulstorm. Perhaps, there's a chance to finish it before the end of the month. Although, I'm intimidated by the rarity of the  rarity but we're gonna make it happen, somehow.

Update: Dirt 5 Plat done now. The only good think about the game is the easy plat. It's very arcade style in the way it plays and nothing like its predecessors. The races all feel the same and even the haptic feedback is overexaggerated and clunky. I'd rate the game a 2/10

I finally have a real update. Finished Final Fantasy X last night! Then, when I'm looking at my profile here today, I realized I just barely missed finishing it on the same date I started it... 8 years ago Even with all the mindless grinding to max everyone's stats, and the dreaded lightning bolt dodging, I still love this game. (You don't actually have to max stats, just fill in the grid, and filling it with tons of magic def or evasion is much faster. But, I had to fill it with useful things, cuz I'm crazy like that, so it took me a lot longer.) Can't believe it took me so long to get back to it, but with so many games on the backlog it's sometimes hard to justify playing a game I've already played a few times before. Really glad I got motivated to do it all this time

 

I also finished Glass Masquerade 2 (not on the list) since my last update here. I LOVE jigsaw puzzles and really enjoyed these games. They had the set on sale a few weeks back and I'd looked at them before; super glad I grabbed them up during the sale. For anyone not familiar, they are basically jigsaws, just with different shapes for the pieces and puzzles. Also, the images on the pieces are blacked out until you pick them up, so it's more about looking at the shapes. The first game is super easy because when you pick up a piece it automatically spins it around to the correct angle. It also marks a few starter pieces that go along the edges to get you going on each puzzle. (Anyone looking for quick easy plat, this goes on the list for sure.) The starter piece marking you can toggle off, which I did, because I didn't want it to be that easy personally, but that is the only difficulty adjustment you can make. The second game, however, is definitely trickier for the platinum. You have to play on hard mode, which makes it so that you have to rotate the pieces correctly yourself. The puzzles are also bigger, so they take a bit longer to complete. As a person who loves puzzles so much, I really enjoyed the hard mode addition in the second game. The first game was way too easy IMO and not nearly as fun for me. But, people who don't like puzzles so much would probably prefer the first game.

 

Not sure what to move on to next. I played a bit of the Bakugan game the other day, when I was looking for a Final Fantasy break one day, but I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with that for the next game or tackle something else instead.

Second update! Finished my second game of the month, Hypnospace Outlaw. Lovely little indie game I'd highly recommend to just about everyone. Also made a few points of progress in Skyrim VR (been struggling with putting aside the time to play VR lately, unfortunately), and some fair progress in Torchlight 2, as well as starting Kena: Bridge of Spirits, which is just as pretty a game as it's reputed to be. Here's to finishing another game before the end of the month, hopefully!

I know we are two days away from it being April and I have yet to finish a game on my list

 

Elden Ring has taken over my life, but I am happy to say that I am before the last secret boss, the last side dungeon, have two more story areas to go through, and will then be at the last area ready to be wrecked into infinity by the final boss(es)?

 

With that being said, I did start/finish Ark: Survival Evolved (yay free ps+) but really need to get my butt in gear and actually earn a solid point this month.

i had to stop myself from adding more, but this already seems like a pretty big list for the year. I’m awful at sticking to a plan though and I’m sure I’ll end up doing games that aren’t on the list as well
