Any word on what's going on with this site? Slow forums for nearly 3 months and broken profiles

Just wondering what's going on? Site seems to be getting worse and nothing is getting fixed. Forums have been slow for nearly 3 months, i know ikemenzi profile has been broken for nearly 2 months, not sure if anyone else is affected. Many other little issues as well, like for me PS3 trophy lists won't get added unless you earn a trophy for that game or another.

No, Sly hasn't abandoned the site. There are quite a few parts that require regular maintenance Sly has been taking care of that aren't as noticed as other parts.

I mean, he was last online 11 days ago and his last post anywhere was October 15.

 

I'm all for encouraging Sly but no way he's done anything we've brought up since then at least. He doesn't even see it.

I mean, from my experience on this website, it's more accurate than not.

I have been on this site for going on 8 years. Sly was a lot more hands on with dealing with community issues back then. However, in the past few years at least, if feels like it it's entirely up to chance whether he wants to listen to us or not.

This thread isn't going to turn into a dogpile on Sly thread. It's here to ask a specific question and to get an answer from the person responsible.

 

If there are related site issues, post them, but otherwise don't post or it's going to be removed to stay on topic.

These issues are absolutely worth bringing up and discussing. We all enjoy using this site, we have that in common, and we can all clearly see the blatant neglect and steady decline in user experience. Is there anything that can be done to address these issues, realistically?

At this point I'd like to see @HusKy employed for applying all the fixes that aren't happening on the official website. He's created an extension called PSNP+ that addresses a lot of the QOL issues that have been requested by members a lot of times. I can understand not wanting to be an official developer of this website though when it's a lot of work behind the scenes and you probably wouldn't be paid for that.

There was a day where he had passion for this site. Obviously that's why he created it. However, the fact that he just sits and collects money and does nothing with this site other than adding a tag for new consoles is insane (if he does do more, he doesn't communicate what). People waste money on premium and get no updates from the sites owner. The only people keeping this site worthwhile are the staff and HusKy. 

 

I have ZERO clue why Sly doesn't hire HusKy at this point, or anyone really, to assist with updates and communication with the community. The major issues that need fixing STILL haven't been fixed and there hasn't been an update from the ONE person who can fix it. Absolutely insane. No one hates Sly, we HATE the fact he won't provide any update on issues and fails to update / upgrade the site. 

 

@Sly Ripper, care to elaborate or give insight on to why you wont' employ anyone or give us an update? (Massive reach here, I know)

Should other issues be raised in separate threads? Yes

 

Do I think it's fair to start criticising folk prior to them responding? No. 

 

Not been on the site long but I'm confident that much like everyone else, Sly is a person and might be juggling just as much crap as the average individual. 👍
