Curious to see what they come up with. Personally, I think this only makes sense if they go balls to the wall on the action.

I would love to see a current gen version with highly destructible environments, buffed up suit powers and a badass Hans Zimmer soundtrack.

And while they're at it, crank up the gun porn to 11 and gimme a bullet time mechanic.

(I might have just described a Black sequel... screw it.)

I don’t think they have money for Hanz this time. Previous all money was from EA. I don’t even think Crysis need another game. Reboot maybe, but it ended good in Crysis 3.

Crysis' gameplay was always pretty good but the story across the trilogy was a complete shambles. Call me crazy but you can't just have a series with such great individual narrative concepts and then tell me that the story isn't all that important just because it's a shooter- it isn't Doom

I agree! I recently played the trilogy on PS4 (first time) and I didn’t like it. I’m not sure if it didn’t age well or the story honestly I had no idea what was really happening. But I’d give 4 a shot!

I have to disagree honestly. I think especially crysis 2 had an amazing story. Story in crysis 1 was almost non existent yeah and 3 got a bit weird but there are definitely worse examples than the crysis games if it comes to bad stories.

Yeah I’m not saying it’s the worst story. And they can certainly fix it but the games aren’t for me I don’t think. Interesting though it took this long.

My biggest question in regards to story is where can they even take it? The ending of 3 always seemed pretty definitive to me. Also curios how it's only being referred to as Crysis 4 as a working title. Could it end up as a reboot or a soft canon reset?

I am thinking the same. A presequel set in the time between crysis 1 and 2 could be interesting. This way you could learn about the fate of nomad and also see what prophet did in that time.

I have the trilogy as well. Honestly, this game could be good, I'd hope it's almost Titanfall-esque when it comes to abilities and stuff like that. The games were never terrible but definitely lacked a creative spark.

Whoever said the story was ass and non-cohesive, that's exactly what got me to stop playing it on PC. I had no idea where it was going, just that you're in superhuman suits and doing odd-jobs in the first game, and the second game was virus/pandemic related?? About as much as I retained there.

Just make a good first-person shooter, take cues from the best like Doom Eternal, Titanfall 2, that sort of thing. I kinda feel like Crysis shouldn't be "boots to the ground" for how futuristic and interesting it is as a franchise. God damn the day "boots to the ground" became the norm, we really had some awesome games from that era before the Infinite Warfare mass-dislike shit.

What do you think about this @Sinthoras_96?

I'm obviously really excited about this.

That being said they just started developing the game. So I would expect a release in 2024 or so. But it's still nice to know that I will see another Crysis Game in my life.

It's also going to be very interesting to see where they are going with it. The teaser in my opinion is just a compilation of flashbacks to the first 3 games, so it doesn't really show anything about the new game.

There are so many possibilities gameplay and story wise.... Who knows. It could be linear like the old games, it could be open world, it could be with Multiplayer or without...

The story could stay on earth or even take us to the alien planets...

I really don't know what to expect from this, but I think that makes it very exciting.

I'm excited about it. For Crysis 4, they need a new location instead of Lingshan or New York. Maybe a South America setting, with the Amazon rainforest for some jungle settings, and a few cities in that area like Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, and La Paz. Invading the alien homeworld would be good for the latter part of the game. To get there, they could have a space battle stage with Ceph starfighters trying to stop you... like an FTL version of Ascension.

One of my favorite levels in the original Crysis is Core, the zero gravity stage inside a Ceph mothership. If the remaster omitted this level, it would have bothered me more than losing Ascension (which was thankfully brought back). The zero-g concept should be played with once again.

This time, I'd like to see more than 7 missions. Crysis 3 is good, but it leaves me wanting a little more.

Crysis was one of those franchises were I really didn't care much for either way until I jumped into them. But once I did, whilst the story I found to be a little bland across the 3 games, I felt it had a certain enjoyable hook with the gameplay and combat. I feel like if they improve on the story, the 4th could be a gem that surprises a lot of people.

Oh and perhaps leave out any trophies that require me to log in again in 6 months ?
