By Dreggit in Announcements,
  - THE RESULTS -   Hello PSNProfiles! It's that time of the year again, the 8th year in a row that we've posted results for the Guide of the Year Awards. Like the past three years we award the top 3, then give 21 more guides some love as well. This has worked well in the past and continues to ring true! The winnings this year will be split between all authors on a winning guide.   Guide of the Year Winners   To start off as we have from the beginning, the first awards we'll give are for the top three guides this year from all of your votes for this category. The quality of guides this year has been incredible, but these are the bunch that stood out the most from the nominations! Unlike last year though, there is only one tie! What a surprise it was, even after 127 valid votes, that there was still a tie and some of the tallies came quite close even after we double and triple checked the votes! Here are the winners! Each will receive a $100 (1st), $80 (2nd) or $60 (3rd) prize, or split the prize where applicable amongst winners!      1st Place Final Fantasy XIV Trophy Guide By Rebourne07, MakoSOLIDER, and zekunlu    2nd Place Hades Trophy Guide By Argandalf_01    3rd Place (2-way tie) The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV Trophy Guide By RaveNScythE18 Control - 100% Trophy Walkthrough By Optinooby   What a year it has been. Honestly, who knew we would have had such a successful year! We started what seemed like ground zero but rose from the ashes to form a stronger community than ever before. It was a record breaking year on several fronts and over 1,000 reviews were issued this year. Quite an achievement! Please do not fret though if your guide did not win GOTY, all guides that were nominated could have equally won this coveted prize and are all deserving of the highest of praises. Please! Pat yourself on the back for all you've achieved this year and join us in celebrating the winners this year.   The Exceptional Guide Winners   Three years ago we started the format of awarding 21 guides with the exceptional awards and it has done well, and has been well received by the community! This year we've decided to do that again, but also decided to continue last years choice of awarding an Exceptionally High Quality badge to all nominated guides, recognizing their efforts in going above and beyond in the work these authors created. We thought it made more sense to do this since all guides submitted were of incredible quality. Along with those however, your community votes will lead to some lucky authors earning some sweet cash prizes of $50 for 1st place, $40 for 2nd place, and $30 for third place in each category! Well done to the winners, these guides are incredible.     Exceptional Trophy Guides These are guides that are impeccably well crafted to help earn the most dastardly of platinums. Congratulations to the lucky winners below! @zizimonster @pathtoninja @Mr_Wright95   I would like to congratulate all guide writers this past year. Not just the authors that got published, but the writers too. I know that this year started rough with obscene delays of months to get a review, and it took a long time to get things back in control. Thank you for your patience and trust in our transition into a new team and thank you for all that you do for our community. It is no small task to write a guide and is often a far bigger undertaking that anyone initially realizes. If you have ever started writing, or have been writing a guide, I applaud you. To want to create something so to just help those around you is an incredible thing and deserves to be celebrated. So thanks to all of you out there, writers and authors both! As to all of our nominees, and those that did not make it into nomination, be proud of what you created and I thank you for all you do for this community and its members.   Please join me in congratulating all of our nominees and winners!
Thank you everyone and we will see you next year for GOTY2022!
