Now that the excitement as dwindled down a bit. I want to take the time to personally congratulate every single person that won this year! But before that, I want to personally thank the Guide Team, @Dreggit @Charizarzar @Roronora_Zoro666 @Vanqishd for doing such an amazing job in 2021 & inspiring & helping all of the guide writers of this year. The quality didn't just raise cause we as writers got better, the quality raised because of you guys. You have all done a fantastic job & I think I speak for all of us authors when I say we are all thankful for you guys & the work you put being apart of the Guide Team. Now, onto the congratulations!
 

@Rebourne07 @MakoSOLIDER @Tentativeuser Massively huge Congrats for taking hope the big prize of GOTY on Final Fantasy 14. The guide was just so well written, formatted, informative & just down right a great read. While I will never use the guide since I'll just instead play it on PC without ever worrying about the platinum, I can't stress enough how much of an accomplishment that the guide was to even make in the first place. A Congrats simply doesn't do it justice. I also want to congratulate you on Exceptional DLC for, well, the exact same reasons stated above.
 

@Argandalf Huge congrats on the Hades taking 2nd place for GOTY. The guide is super well done & was just a joy to read. While I never actually played the game, I can appreciate just how much work must have went into the guide. & to think you almost never wrote it. I bet you're glad you decided to go through with it! You've really taken the guide writing community by storm in 2021 pumping out banger after banger after banger right out the gate & even giving long running respect authors a run for their money. I would also like to congratulate you for placing 1st in Exceptional Formatting for your Ghost of Tsushima guide for once again, the same reasons for Hades. Wish your guide existed when I went for that plat!
 

@RavenScythe Big congrats on your Trails of Cold Steel Guide placing 3rd for GOTY! The Trails of Cold Steel guides are always a wonder to behold & a great thing to read, though I personally tried to avoid reading it as much as possible when going through the nominees to not spoil myself since I'm slowly playing through the series myself right now. I know they aren't easy to write & you blew it out of the park! Big congrats for also placing 3rd for Exceptional Gameplay Guide with the Tales of Arise Sub-Quest Gameplay Guide! I haven't read much into depth with the guide for the same reason as Trails of Cold Steel since I do plan to play it at some point in the future (Just waiting for a sale). But the guide is extremely well done & it's highly deserved!

@Optinooby Big congrats on also placing 3rd for GOTY with your 100% Control Trophy Walkthrough as well as 1st for Exceptional Gameplay Guide! The formatting, the pacing, the detail, the images. Everything about the guide was just absolutely amazing. I can't even imagine the effort you went through while writing this & how many hours you would have had to sink into the game. If the guide was submitted in literally any other year, I could easily have seen it taking 2nd or ever 1st place, but there was some really stiff competition this year! Big congrats for the Returnal Collectibles Guide getting 1st for Original Content. I haven't played Returnal personally, but I've heard horror stories about the collectibles in the game & your guide goes very in-depth about them & is extremely informative. I will 100% be using this guide once I do get around to Returnal!

@BeforeJam @LuckySIime Huge shout out to these two as well for the amazing work they put into the Persona 5 Strikers guide as well. The guide was originally 2 separate guides (Mine & theirs) & thanks to the help from the Guide Team we were able to combine our efforts into 1 guide that is leagues better than if we were to have published separately. They were a pleasure to work with for the short time we worked together on the Strikers guide after the merge & I hope in the future, we may cross paths again with another guide! Taking 3rd for Exceptional Trophy Guide would not have been possible without these two!

@Montyzu Congrats on placing 1st for Exceptional Gameplay Guide! Making 100% walkthroughs for Persona games isn't easy, & that is just a fact. I wanted to undertake this with the OG Persona 5 but decided against it due to the amount of time it'd take to do that & I just simply didn't have time. But this is about you, not me. The SHEER amount of detail & content in this guide is insane & makes me lost for words. Absolutely massive congrats on this & hopefully your keyboard survived the beating it required to type out this entire guide.

@suicideyan Congrats on your Ultimate Resident Evil 4 guide for placing 2nd in Exceptional Gameplay Guide! The guide is extremely well written & formatted out. I'm pretty sure I remember you talking about this & sharing snippets of it in the discord & it was a joy to watch the process being made in the guide. I haven't played Resident Evil 4 since PS2 so I will 100% be using this once I go for the 100% in it. I absolutely loved reading through your guide! I would also like you congratulate you and @LuckySIime here for placing 1st in Retro Enthusiast with the Persona 4 Arena Guide! That game is no joke and the amount of effort you both put into the guide is fantastic. I will probably never play it due to being horrible at fighting games, but I can sit here with my jaw dropped at how well done & dedicated you both were to this guide.

@Plattitudes @GinjAJ Congrats on your Mortal Shell DLC Guide placing 2nd in Exceptional DLC! As far as DLC guides go, this is top tier. A lot of DLC guides don't like going much into details or formatting so heavily such as you two did because it gets written off as "Oh it's just a DLC", but you two really put a lot of love & effort into the guide & it shows. I have yet to play the DLC but once I do, this guide is where I'll be turning once I go for the 100%!

@Troz Congrats on your Spider Man Remastered DLC guide placing 3rd in Exceptional DLC! I just want to say big respect to you. You looked at a boring, short list & you went hard with it. Like I stated above, most people would have just said "Oh it's a DLC, not point to go as hard" but you said screw that & went hard anyway. Your guide is a perfect example of longer doesn't always equal better. Short & sweet is just as good & you knocked it out of the park.

@JNSpradlin Congrats on your Disgaea D2 Guide placing 2nd in Retro Enthusiast! I know this game went a long time without a guide & was on the bounty board if I remember correctly. The formatting & images are extremely well done & the pacing of the actual guide is also really well thought out. Guide has enough information without being completely overwhelming & I really enjoyed that. I haven't personally played Disgaea at all, but seeing your guide & seeing you talk about it in the discord gave me an inch to try the series. Also this is just completely unrelated, but I'm pretty sure we boosted together on Brotherhood around July of 2021. I was the guy who had to buy a new disc since my game kept crashing upon joining a multiplayer game lol. (Apologizes if I'm mistake & you're not that person, you just have a very similar name to the one I remember boosting with.

@Xillynoc Congrats on your Brutal Legend guide taking 3rd place in Retro Enthusiast! I'm honestly surprised that this game has went so long without a guide but thank god we did, cause we got yours in turn. I really love how in-depth you go in with the guide & it really is just a sight to behold. The images really pop & add a nice flare to the guide overall so it looks just as good as it reads. Formatting is really well done as well so it looks really good & is easy on the eyes, which is always a bonus!

@angelbless45 Congrats on your Resident Evil Village Guide placing 1st in New Age Enthusiast! I've made no secret of how much I love your guides & how much effort you put into them with your own custom videos & everything. Your videos helped me a lot not only with this platinum, but others of the same vein that have just as much effort put into them. The formatting is fantastic & the guide looks really well polished. Your mercenaries videos are probably the videos most people will be checking in the guide & the methods you use in the video is really well thought out & planned. I just can't imagine the effort it took to go through it that many times to find a good route that is also easy to follow. Overall, amazing guide & I'm really looking forward to future guides from you as well!
 

@Gr4de_04 Congrats on your Genshin Impact Guide placing 2nd in New Age Enthusiast! Dedication. That's the only word that comes to mind while looking at your guide. The time, the effort, everything that went into this guide is top tier & a prime example for guide writers to not care about the time it takes for a platinum & should just write it anyway if they want to. Everything about the guide is extremely well done & it is formatted in such a way that it makes extremely easy to follow along, even for people like me who know exactly nothing about the game.

@eigen-space Congrats on your Cris Tales guide placing 3rd in New Age Enthusiast! I had never even heard of the game before the nominations & because of your guide I have added to my wishlist as your guide convinced me to give it a try. Sure, it isn't flashy like the rest of the guides but that doesn't matter since it still packs all the information you need into a nice well packed guide. People always forgetting that informative guides will always top big, flashy guides & your guide here is a prime example of that. Whenever I decide to pick the game up, I'll be using the guide for sure.

 @Joe Dubz Congrats on your Super Meat Boy Forever guide placing 2nd in Original Content! Now I'll come right out the gate & say this, I know nothing about this game or the game before it. Hell I don't even play this genre of game very much. But even so, I can still see the amount of effort this guide must have taken you. Especially since you supplied your own videos for the guide which just takes this guide to the next level. Everything is formatted well & easy to follow, which speaks volumes since I don't understand the game whatsoever, meaning everyone someone with no knowledge can follow along.

@The_Kopite Congrats on your Sonic Colors Ultimate Guide placing 3rd in Original Content! This guide is great & the pictures & videos fit super well to really make the guide pop. I really like how you go over everything in the game & the mechanics of certain things. Not a lot of guide writers will go through this kind of effort as it's seen as unnecessary work since it isn't directly linked to a trophy or that it's self explanatory for anyone playing the game. So I'm really glad to see you put that effort in to do that & I really wish more guides would do so. So the fact you went through & did that already shows you're more committed to making a great guide, which you have done.

@NoMoreUpdates Congrats on your Friday the 13th guide placing 2nd in Formatting! Crisp is all I have to say about this guide. Everything just looks so crisp. You can really see that you put a lot of love & care into the guide based on how you balanced informative information with stunning formatting. This is the kind of formatting quality I wish I could achieve. My own guide which played 3rd in formatting pales in comparison to how well this was formatted.

And, Congrats to myself for my Nexomon Guide for placing 3rd in Formatting! I can't thank the people who voted for my guide enough. I put a lot of effort into the guide & went through a lot of photos to get the guide just right. I don't want to sit here & toot my own horn, as this is about congratulating everyone here instead. But I am thankfully for everyone who voted for my guide, used my guide, gave feedback, everything. It really does mean a lot.

Lastly, I would like to congratulate every single person who was even nominated this year that didn't place in the Top 3. Without you, the guide writing community wouldn't be as lively & as great without you. Thank you for posting your guides, even if they didn't place Top 3, hell, even if they weren't nominated, thank you for taking the time out of your day to write a guide & help out gamers everywhere.

Woah I'm honoured to have 2 of my guides get in the winning ones for a catagory me @ObsiEez and @BeforeJam worked very hard on that strikers one to get it out as close to launch as possible sucked that the trophy list for the game took forever to sync to psn ? but overall very fun couldn't have done it without you guys I appreciate it alot.

 

Also to see my Persona 4 Arena guide win first for the retro category is insane couldn't have done it without @suicideyan we worked out asses off on that one haha ? trying to make it as good as possible thanks to everyone who voted for it.

Congratulations to all nominees and of course, the big winners of the night!  Very talented, passionate, and selfless authors and writers that volunteer their time, skills, and creativity that build works of art.  You help out a large community of gamers with this popular and passionate hobby we call trophy hunting.  

 

Since the beginning (2014), I've always had a desire towards reading guides and anxiously waiting for newly published guides on PSNP.  I've been on the sidelines looking from the outside in and this group of quality guides are easily the strongest I've ever seen.  I know "amazing" and "incredible" get thrown around a lot when awards are given out but it's absolutely a fact that 2021 was the best year in guide quality creation I've seen, and that includes all the other sites that create Playstation guides as well.  PSNP is truly the best source for Playstation guides available on the internet.

@ObsiEez Really appreciate the nice comments about my guide. I have tried to improve my guide writing with every guide, implementing what I have learned from previous tries and certainly with my Sonic Colours:Ultimate guide it helps that I'm a massive Sonic fan so passionate about it. Guide writing is all meant to be about having fun, enjoying the process and hopoefully putting out a guide that you will be proud of and that'll help others. ?
