did orbital change?

just played orbital and joined late in the last section. the middle base was split into 2 with one huge section leaning left and another leaning right. it was really weird i never saw that happen before. there was so much junk on the ground you couldnt move any vehicles there

I don't think they changed anything about the map. You're probably talking about the launch pad having a bunch of debris on it, if you fire at the rocket enough times it will produce a massive explosion and throw a bunch of debris all over the launch pad (which typically freezes the lobby for a second lol). This happens a lot in Breakthrough matches as the capturing team advances on that last flag. Otherwise you won't see people fire at the rocket often in Conquest or other modes.

i didnt know that, ive seen it launch before. but never explode.
