Can't use Double Palm Focus

For Master of the Phoenix Eye Fist, I am not able to use the Double Palm Fist once I unlock it. It does not show up on the focus wheel for selection. I’ve tried openhanded, with a knife, bat, and staff. I have had at least 2 focus bars every time I try. Is anyone else having this issue?

 

Edit: I found the problem. If you don't tough the left stick at all and leave the wheel selector in the center, that is where Double Palm is. Duh, but also unintuitive.
