Resolution or Performance mode?

Performance. I tried resolution for less then a minute. Felt like playing with a graphics card from early 2000's and trying to play next gen games. Terrible lag lol

i am used to 60fps being the norm.

 

Resolution mode here gave me the same issue it did in Lost Judgment. Looks slighty better to an extent, but looks like it lags terribly 100%. I would assume after awhile one may get used to it but ill take smoother gameplay over a good looking bush looking more like a good looking bush.

I'll be happy when games stop getting released cross gen and we get more 120fps performance modes.

performance however im getting pretty big FPS drops when entering new areas and the only fix is to save, quit the game and open it back up

Probably performance, unless there's a 60fps ray tracing mode like Rift Apart and the Spider-Man games.

Looks like I’m the only one that would go for graphics mode. Don’t need 60fps unless it’s a racing or fighting game. HZD isn’t a fast paced game either

Even in performance mode this is possibly one of the best looking games I've ever seen so you may as well pick that to lock in a stable 60 fps.

Performance. 60FPS is more important to me than 4K resolution. 30FPS just looks choppy on PS5 games these days after you've been playing with 60 for so long. Switching between the two, there is a visual difference, everything is much sharper in Resolution mode...but it's not like the game looks bad in Performance mode which is running in 1800p, so it's even above 2K. 30FPS just doesn't cut it anymore. It'll be nice when we can finally get to a day when we no longer have to choose though.

PS5 has spoiled me, I can never go back to 30fps. I always give resolution modes a go at the start of the game, but I barely last a minute before going back to performance. Same here.

this will NEVER be a question or a choice for me in any game, ALWAYS RESOLUTION, the difference is monumental between NATIVE 4K and checkerboard 1800p which is a little above native 1080p in terms of native pixels, and closer to the ps4 pro than ps5 mode, I didn't buy my PS5 to play at ps4pro resolutions or little over 1080p amount of native pixels resolutions, the game is already corss gen, why would I downgrade it even more, and it's not just resolution, particles are almost absent in performance mode, graphics are way better in resolution mode too

Graphic mode, i was playing whole my life below even 30 fps on PC, so im totaly fine with 30 and fancy graphics. The only game i prefer performance mode is Demon's souls

Playing in resolution mode. 
i tested around with both modes and while 60fps feel great in the game, the graphical downgrade is huge in my opinion. This world has to be seen in resolution mode. And as far as i‘m aware it‘s not only higher resolution you get, better textures and sometimes more foliage and stuff. 
i absolutly hope we will get another graphic option in the future which combines 60fps with the features of the resolution mode

I'm gonna go with Performance, though I tend to find 60FPS cutscenes to look wrong somehow, like they're on fast forward. If I could, I'd probably set it to gameplay-Performance and cutscenes to Resolution.

Had to go with resolution. I just feel like too much is lost because of the checkerboarding for the performance mode. Kinda wish Guerrilla went for a native 1440p over a checkerboard 1800p to hit 60fps.
