PS4 to PS5 trophies?

So, I started the PS4 version, firstly because it installed much faster, and also to guage the difference between the PS4 on PS5 performance and graphics before I went over to PS5 version properly.

License and track progression seems to be on the server as all my progress goes straight to PS5 version on start-up.

 

But, as nothing autopopped, I'm guessing I'll need to buy another electric car etc, and basically do everything twice?

 

Anyone else tried this?

It works the same in both ways PS4 <=> PS5. Trophies are not autopopping, but the one you already got can easily reacquired by doing the same thing (for license, just finish one license, for distance just drive a little, buy a specific car, etc.). The only tricky one was for first visiting menu and doing first coffe task, but those popped up after some menu exploration (dunno if it was random or you have to do some specific stuff).

I am not abel to trigger campaign trophies even though I finished them. Any help?

Try fully exploring Cafe menu, all collections there, previous menus, etc. I assume you meant Cafe trophies, right?

yes, did everything multiple times, no luck

It popped for me after I spent some time in Cafe menu. Dunno if that's the case or it was just random.

are the servers for all the different region stacks the same? Could you plat NA PS4 and pop the EU, AS, etc ones by doing a few things?

This is interesting. I started on PS5 and will download PS4 for the second Platinum. But after I read this I am not sure this will be a good decission. I mean what can you do if the story trophies wont pop? Photos, Sport Mode Race numbers and licenses are server based I guess

The biggest issue is the 'Finale' trophy! I earned this on PS5 earlier today. Been playing on PS4 the last few hours to get the trophies I already had on PS5, but the 'Finale' trophy has not unlocked. I've replayed the final tournament and completed 1 or 2 other races I hadn't completed prior to the trophy unlocking, but nothing seems to be working so far ?

I can confirm this issue as well.  Did the finale on ps5 first.  Jumping straight into the finale movie on another stack does nothing.  Looked at all trophies and menus in the cafe and still nothing.

Is there even a way to contact them somehow? I forgot about Finale trophy and as it seems, it's unobtainable on second platform you do it. I tried messaging them via Twitter, but dunno if it does anything.

Having the exact same issue this needs fixed asap. Start your first cafe menu, complete your first cafe menu and fulfill the requirements for ending are all broken and unobtainable if you have already beaten the game on a seperate version (for example ps4 before starting ps5) People need to contact them and make them aware of the issue. They fixed rain license soon enough.

This is still a major bug that has so far went unnoticed. There needs to be a way to either autopop, trigger by watching the final credits / completing the final championship or restart the whole campaign put into the game. The fact this issue exists in 2022 is mind boggling. I am perma locked out of 3 trophies still as things stand. More people need to raise this issue online.

Hey patrick I made an account over there purely to back up your point on your thread. If it's possible, I would advise changing the title to something like "ps4 ps5 major trophy bug" so that it can draw eyes. People will think it's just a regular thread about ps4 and ps5 trophies in it's current state. A catchy straight to the point headline like that may get polyphony to take a look at it (if they genuinely do take bug reports from that site) fingers crossed mate ??

Talking to playstation support live chat about this is also a good idea. Polyphony is a playstation owned studio, I made a case days ago and the guy sent all the details off to a specialist team and said they would get in touch with me once they know the next steps. The live chat is available monday to friday during daytime hours so the more people that send the exact case to them the greater chance of polyphony realizing the size of the bug ??

Hi all,

you can get both FINALE trophies on PS5 and PS4 only in case, you did not finished the campaign.

 

I get both FINALE trophies on PS5 and PS4, one after another in 5 minutes this way:

1) Play on PS5 version until you compete mission 39. After you finished this mission, you will see yellow notice: Completed

2) Press PS button, go to the dashboard on the PS5 - and disconnect your internet. Go back to the game and now visit the Cafe. The trophy pops, the game crash, but its because its not saved (this is good for us).

3) Dont check your trophies, only connect your internet back, run the game. Now only load the game to the main screen. DONT visit the caffe now ! Close the game.

4) Now check trophy information and sync trophies - you can see FINALE trophy on PS5

5) Run PS4 version of the game and now visit the caffe. The trophy pops for PS4 too !!!

Well, we need a solution in case we already have the trophy in one version.
