Uploading your Story mode progression for PS5 version not available

Players can now upload their story mode progression from within the game so you can use that for the expanded and enhanced edition. This is done in-game

Starting today, players can begin transferring their Story Mode progress by uploading a save to the Rockstar Games Social Club. To begin this process, enter GTAV on your current console account and go to the Game tab of the Pause Menu. From there, select the Upload Save Game option. Please note, you can only store one game save per platform at a time and saves will remain available to download for 90 days

However, for me personally, the button to upload is not there in-game. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and knows a fix. I am playing the game on PS5, not sure if that makes a difference. I use a PS4 disk version. The game is already updated to the latest version.

EDIT: for some unknown reason it appeared after about 10 minutes of being in-game. Leaving this here in the hopes it helps someone else.

I wonder if all story trophies will auto pop with a 100% save... I am just curious about it but I will not do it because I miss playing that story all over again and I wanna redo all the story trophies once again. I just wish we could auto pop all online trophies including the DLC ones, that 100% completion in GTA V was a fucking nightmare for me to actually achieve.

Given that GTA Online seems to have a separate app for PS5 there's a chance you could install that, pop all the PS5 list trophies and then just play the singleplayer version without uploading save.

 

Or maybe two separate lists, which would be great, because I'd gladly get the singleplayer platinum and not have to touch the Online again, even just to pop their trophies.

I'm not sure how it will work, given that when the PS3 -> PS4 jump happened, simply loading up your online character popped all story trophies as well. I'm with OP though, I want to play the story again without having them popped.

Not all story mode trophies but trophies of completing all stunt jumps, fully modifying a gun & car were auto-popped during character transfer process.

Yeah, if those are the things that makes sense why they'd pop as they're all online obtainable trophies.

I can't speak for the PS3 to PS4 Jump as I never did that but you can always just upload your save at a later time. Just play through PS5 version, popping what you like and once you got all the nice story ones and stuff just upload and download your save so you don't have to collect all those collectibles or whatever.

And yeah like others I hope the online auto-pops. I am not doing those doomsday heist trophies again. It was a gruesome experience, even with what i think is now a patched exploit at the time.
(exploit was everyone force quitting the entire game if someone died before the drop down "Heist failed, xx has died" dropped. This would stop the counter from resetting but you'd have to do the heist (setup) again of course.)

 

Other than that I do not wanna reach rank 100 on a new character or do the stupid games like gold and stuff for numero Uno.

What I personally hope for is that everything can be auto popped and that they will add new trophies for the diamond casino and Perico (if i spell that right) heist because i know they are there but i'm driven by trophies so them not having any sucks for my motivation haha. I dont even care about the heist rewards.

I've been wanting to replay this story for some time now but have been holding out. I've already uploaded and hope that everything pops (more so the online) but I want the story to pop also because I don't care to 100% it a third time. I do plan on playing through the whole story again and not having to worry about trophies will be nice. Plus as an extra challenge I'm going to try gold medal every mission so there's a bit of replayability if they don't add more trophies to GTAO

So I logged in to do this for the online character, is the option available on the 15th, or am I missing it completely? Found the option for a single player (still dunno if I wanna upload that).

The online will be available once the game launches. From what I understand from the playstation blog post. Just make sure you have a rockstar social club acount and its linked with your PSN and you've played online at least once since then on PS4.

I found this is unavailable to do if you have a pending game update…

 

anyway I have a question.. on an alt account of mine I uploaded a game save at the time but hadn’t done the rockstar editor DLC.

 

Not the end of the world .. but 

 

because I have a save already uploaded I can’t overwrite an already uploaded save because one exists. I can I somehow delete an existing save to upload a new save ?
