WHY ISN'T THIS A PROBLEM!!

Because not everyone is homophobic. I don't see how Ellie and Riley kissing each other is a major problem for you.

I thought it was decent, except for the lesbian kissing shit, Why Naughty Dog Why??

Because it was obvious they loved each other and Naughty Dog isn't narrow minded and homophobic.

I loved it :D I didn't mind that it was short, like what has already been said, the quality is what matters most and I think ND did an awesome job with this dlc. It was refreshing to see Ellie messing around with her best friend and in a more casual setting, but then there was the parts that were so intense and kinda creepy. I was sooo surprised when Ellie kissed Riley. I thought it was cute though. But really, amazing dlc, well worth the wait.

Agreed, a kiss doesn't necessarily reflects your preferences, It's cute in my opinion, it can mean so many things

It was cute! xD And I just knew there was going to be people calling Ellie lesbian for that. Oh my gawd. Like why. Can't we just enjoy the perfection that is Left Behind and get over the brief 2 second kiss.

A teenage girl kissing another girl does not make her a lesbian anyway.

Kissing another girl doesn't make her a lesbian, necessarily. She's a kid. And even if she was a lesbian, who cares.

Because not everyone is homophobic. I don't see how Ellie and Riley kissing each other is a major problem for you.

First of all, There's a difference between loving and caring for someone, and kissing and being a lesbian. Second, it wasn't a HUGE deal it just kind of bothered me like, why did they have to put that in, why couldn't they just have them hug instead.

Your point is really ambiguous to say the least.

First you said

They made Ellie a lesbian... I'm sorry, but I don't even know anyomore... :shakefist:

WHY ISN'T THIS A PROBLEM!!

Then finally

There's a difference between loving and caring for someone, and kissing and being a lesbian

You just stated there is a difference between kissing and being a lesbian. Thus invalidating the the point in your previous post.

Just finished it, and yes, this was REALLY good DLC! It was so refreshing to play some new story content for this game. I most liked the part you play before meeting Joel as it doesn't have any weapon combat. After getting a platinum on the game I find clickers to be so freaking slow and tedious to have the concentration to work with (though I don't mind human enemies because you can sneak around them). There were also a good amount of "puzzles" here and there in the post-Joel story. However, in the Pre-Joel story (like those terms? Haha), I enjoyed the exploration and story a lot.

It was a really good mix-up of mostly story and some combat, but too many clickers, I hate those! lol

Also, good ending!

EDIT: Regarding the kiss, it was kinda annoying, but I'm not sure if I would think of it as lesbian, maybe it's just that given the circumstances of their lives and the world they live in, they don't know exactly what they should do or what they think is right for themselves or not. This probably also explains them cursing all the time too - it's just that in the world of The Last of Us, society is different and unknown with little rules except for survival - there's no clear perception of anything besides survival.

That may be the whole underlying message of what the kiss could signify... or hell, it could just be some "gay pride" message too! If that were the case, that would be utterly annoying! Especially using Ellie to do that. Haha, who knows, apparently Bill and that other guy in Bill's Town were gay (which I just recently found out) =O lol, Naughty Dog seems to be having fun with all that.

That's not what I meant. What I was trying to say is there is a difference between loving someone and being a lesbian. I don't mean for this to turn into a big argument, I just wish it didn't happen and it bothered me.

http://www.twitch.tv/holydiverj/c/3724475 LOL this reaction xD

Really? I actually thought it was anticlimactic just because we already knew Ellie wouldn't turn.

I liked just how emotional it was, looking at their facial expressions and what they both were saying. It was interesting to see the moment before Ellie thought her life was over, to not want to give up. Also, knowing exactly how it happened, having that picture in my mind now for this story.

Yeah, the acting felt human and genuine.

One thing I would've like to have seen was Riley's death.

Stop Thinking about why Ellie kissed Riley

http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/02/15/ellen-page-comes-out-as-a-gay-woman

Or is that obvious or is just a coincidence. And just saying. Good for her, and everyone knows that Ellie is awkwardly made or based on Ellen Page's image.

The day i found out that Ellen Page came out as a lesbian was the day i've finished The Last of Us Left Behind dlc in which Ellie kisses Riley.

Well this whole story of naughty dog ripping Ellen Page's likeness for Ellie have always reminded me of this scene from the movie Hot Shots

But coincidence mentioned above is a total surprise for me. )

Back on topic: the dlc is great, it's because of games like this I'm still a player as an adult. Neil Druckman and Co made a great job.

Here is a link to Neil's  two hour long presentation of The Last of Us creation at IGDA Toronto 2013

I loved it from start to finish... also, on Ellie being a lesbian... She's an inexperienced girl living in a world with few friends, and fewer friendly people. She obviously has strong feelings for Riley, they have a bond/connection. Hell when she had that porno mag from bills she didn't even know what to make of a penis... So as far as her sexuality goes, it is up in the air...

I had PS5 Trophies Left Behind walkthrough playing in the background and heard him say Ellie wasn't a lesbian (in a rather insensitive way) and that was wild to me because it seemed so obvious that the kiss signified Ellie showing attraction to another girl but apparently Ellie not being queer was a common belief among the online fandom back then.

Nearly ten years later, I wonder how the same people look back at their initial reaction. ?

I remember at the time playing and during the dance scene chanting "Kiss Kiss Kiss!" like a drunk bystander, and then when it finally happened I chose to believe I had powers. In all honesty I am romantically illiterate and didn't pick up on the signals until I was watching my brother's playthrough way back when.
