I'm in NA. I went to https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/ then clicked on the Online Assistant tab in the bottom right. You have to go through a few automated questions and enter in your email & PSN name, but then it'll give you an option to be transferred to an actual support agent.

I'm in Germany. It seems the ability to contact live chat is gone. I recall using it earlier this year when PS+ codes were temporarily disabled, but I can't find a way to contact them now.

PlayStation has to have the worst support I've ever seen. Tried to contact them again this morning and at first it wasn't letting me go through to an agent because "the wait times are too long" then after numerous tries it eventually went through to one. Said it'd be a 10 min or less wait, but I ended up having to wait 35 minutes. When it finally found someone the chat glitched so I couldn't see their messages at all, so they just closed the chat. Now when I try to find another agent it just says "Hey there, back so soon?, it seems Chat has not been of help to you, please try again later." and doesnt let me. I'm in awe of Sony's incompetence honestly. Crazy that we're closing in on two weeks with this issue still not resolved.

Imagine if the issue straight up doesn’t get resolved.

If the next software update doesn’t fix it then gg. Sony either have higher priorities or the people who work in that area don’t know about it.

Im just hoping that a ‘specialist’ is actually working on it for a permanent fix. Then this thread can finally rest.

Don't hold your breath though.

Getting fed up with this not tracking when it says stupid shit like less than an hour played when you know you have played a hell of a lot longer than that. Does anybody else feel like the OCD in you comes out and when the feature is fixed that you wanna idle your console overnight and let the hours count up on games you have done that say silly times on the profile, or is it just me.

It's not accurate either, you'll have games with way more playtime or way less playtime than you've actually played. You'll also have games with 0 hours on them that you have the platinum in.

It's way off.

I have 890 hours on Elden Ring and the PS timer says 60 hours. ?

Guys ps4 tracks the playtime fine, im playing kingdom hearts melody of memory there & every session has been tracked, when i play in my ps5 i can see the numbers going up, every game i play in my ps5 doesn't increase the numbers, so pretty sure this is a ps5 issue.

It is a ps5 issue yes. I'm expecting a psn meltdown over Christmas with those lucky to get a ps5 over the festive period

Trust me i’m not. I’ve had this issue since February so i’ve stopped caring about it as much.

It's been an issue since before February

Yes, I have done that before. M

This is one of the most frustrating things I can  say about the PS5 (besides the insulting internal HDD size). It says I played Callisto Protocol for 3 hours when I spent more like 12 hours.

Tracking for games Is not even working now and it's been hit and miss all year for me. PS5 games do show up (albeit with wrong time played) but when I play games on my PS4, it doesn't track the hours I'm spending playing let alone even show the game I was recently playing in the 'last played' Filter.

This feature needs a fix badly.

Yeah, I recently got the platinum in dragon ball xenoverse, and it says I only played it for 46 hours. Average time to completion is 100 hours

Im close to 100% AC Odyssey main game plus all dlc's under 50 hours according to played time, more like 160 so far...

Just closed down Monster Energy Supercross 2 and it updated instantly. Maybe its working again.

Gosh, that is fantastic news! Haven't tested myself yet (working still), but I see others confirmed it too, so this is promising! Just in time for the holidays too.

Hopefully this time it will last. Anyone want to place a bet? No? Right, I wouldn't either. :P

edit: Got to play some now, and tracking does work for me again, too.

I just finished Babylon's Fall and wanted to know how many hours it took me solo so that I can report it to my mates.

This great tracker showed 9... which is insanely low. I wonder why they don't just count the time that the game is running, that's how Steam does it and it works fine.

I use PS Timetracker. You just add a bot and then check your page (private, can optionally be made public). I've used it for a few months now and it is reliable. You can see playtime per session, per game, and per month.

I track my totals in a spreadsheet too, plus purchase price and some other stats, across the gaming systems I use.

Thanks for the tip. Had never heard of this site prior to now. Asked a couple of friend and they confirmed that the site indeed works great.
