Popular Post de_digibeet
I've been playing the game for a few weeks and the following stood out mostly for me, with regards of the trophy guide (both on this site and other sites). As they were all written for a game version I never saw and the game is a bit different now. Going by the notes on the trophy guide, these changes were made in summer of 2020. First some tips not mentioned in the guide: - while in your ship: press L2 to open the star chart menu for easier navigation, while on the start chart you can still open up the touch pad menu and go back to the ship by selecting the big button in the middle - heroic deed progression is shared among all your characters, though obviously character type specific heroic deeds can only be completed by playing as that type - money, crafting resources and items put in storage on the bridge of your ship is also shared between your characters - while in your ship: press R2 to open a menu to select an available story mission and see info about your current cabal mission - the trophy progress menu can be accessed in two different ways: 1: while in your ship: press R2 and then triangle 2: while in a mission press options and then select trophies * The R2 menu is only available if you have an unspent passive skill point and/or any unfinished story mission and/or a cabal mission which requires donation, maybe an unfinished priority assignment also counts, haven't tested it and I've moved on to other games by now. In essence there are some major changes since these guides were written: - difficulty used to be an armor rating system based on your equipment, this no longer exists, this is now based upon the difference between player level and mission level - tarot cards and void crusade: apparently you could use the tarot cards in the past to create special missions, now you can use them in any mission besides story mission to add more difficulty and bonus rewards. - types of missions, there are new types and one type has been removed it seems. The following trophies are affected by this: - efficient operative (complete a priority assignment on impossible difficulty): this can only be done on a random priority assignment, since only those can be given be set to a certain level compared to your own. Press the tip button during mission acceptance to adjust the difficulty. Set it to a higher level and do some more regular story missions to increase your own level. Now you can do that priority mission while being a higher level yourself even though it still counts as one that is 5+ levels above your own ... Don't ask me why, it just worked out like that, for me. - the emperor's wrath (complete 10 missions on highest difficulty): there is already a forum topic on this which explains perfectly how to do this. Here's a summary: create a new character (or just use your first if you're new to he game since upgrade 2.0), play the story until you get send to the frozen planet mission. In this mission all you have to do is reach the end point, you can avoid every enemy. reach the destination, don't press the tip button but press the PS button to exit the game: repeat until done. - visionary (complete 10 void crusade missions): Mr_Marty84 mentioned in the trophy guide notes that this has been changed as well. So, previously you could use tarot cards for this, now you can't. Tarot cards are used differently. To get the void crusade started, you need to encounter the tutorial for it. This will unlock by playing the main story, eventually. I didn't keep track of when exactly. When you get the tutorial you also get enough resources to start one. In this void crusade you can play missions, complete 10 of them to earn the trophy. a single void crusade has more than 10 available missions, so you don't need to gather more void related resources to get this trophy. - only war: you don't need a certain power rating anymore since that doesn't exist anymore. You will unlock the warzone eventually by going through story missions and leveling up. When you do, complete one mission there to unlock the trophy, provided you have a character at level 50 as well. The warzone can be found in tenebra subsector => lacaon system. It's easiest to press L2 to get a full star chart menu instead of going out of start systems and into this one. - all kinds of trouble: the mission type 'stolen relics' doesn't exist anymore and a few new types have been added: siege and rescue. The objective of the stolen relics mission has been moved to random encounters available in pretty much every mission (most don't have them, but can appear in (almost?) every mission) and are tracked in the heroic deed for opening up guarded chests. There is also a problem with tracking certain tasks, here's what I found out: - killing boss creatures: if you play as the crusader and have the turret as your armor power. Any boss to which the turret dealt the last blow is not registered for trophy progress. This isn't as big a problem since you need to play as a psyker again anyway, and if you do the tech adept dlc, there's 2 more bosses there. Kills made by the creatures summoned by the tech adept do count. - completing missions in online co-op: this worked out in a good way, each completed mission counted twice, which saves half the time. - cheating death (deal with traps): I actually think the guide has it wrong, or the in game 'heroic deed' for doing the same uses a different rule. You encounter traps which you can trigger or disable. For the heroic deed you need to trigger them and then deal with the consequences. I'm not too sure deactivating them will work on the trophy. But since I didn't pay proper attention the guide might be right for the trophy. Either way, trigger a few, deactivate a few and see which is registered in your progression. Cabal related trophies - join or create a cabal: play through the story until you unlock the cabal tutorial then either make or join a cabal. I did read elsewhere that joining a cabal didn't count so I didn't take any chances and made my own one person cabal. This also fits my personality: being a one person team removes the social overhead, which works out better for me. It would be great if feedback would arrive if joining a cabal does work. - completing 10 cabal directives: the info currently in the guide in semi lacking in what exactly to do. Since I spend time searching for the information I needed here's what you need to know to save you that trouble. There are two types of directives: 1 - kill a certain type of enemy and collect the items they drop. There are two options here, either kill units from a certain race in which case you just play any kind of mission which features them. Or you are required to kill enemies from a certain subgroup. This second option makes it hard to know what to do. So far I've encountered to options: "mutants of the reborn" which spawn among the nurgle and the plague vanguard and "unbound chaos cult" which spawn among the word bearers. 2 - donate resources somehow. To do this, press R2 and then go down and donate stuff. This is either Calgari Credits (which you should have in abundance) or crafting items which you gain from dissembling items at the tech-priest. - hero of the imperium (acquire 5000 fate points): The main addition to the info in the trophy guide would be that you can sell and buy back your items which also give a few fate when sold. These items are boss drops and are therefor extremely rare. During the selling and buying back process you can not close the store when your item is in the sold status. It will be gone when you close the store. Be sure to have it in your possession when closing the store. Also, your progress towards the trophy won't be immediate, you have to return to the main menu by pressing the touch pad and selecting main menu, afterwards load up a character and then your progress towards this trophy is saved. It is possible to track your fate by going to the trophy progress in the game, this can be done in three ways: 1: at the character select menu 2: while in a mission, press options and go to the trophies 3: while on the ship, press R2 and then triangle DLC info since the guide only mentions the main game. DLC 1: campaign missions Play the story as the crusader, assassin or psyker and be sure to always pick the puritan options or the radical options. Keep it consistent for every morality choice of this character, even when playing through the other story lines. Then play the campaign again with another character and make the other morality choices. Be crusader or assassin in one play through and use a melee build to randomly execute enemies. Be a psyker in another play through to create warp anomalies. DLC 2: drukhari Simply complete the story line, this should also give enough drukari kills. If not, play the story line again with another character or do a mission with drukhari enemies. I didn't pay proper attention to when this story line unlocks, but the captain of your ship will get a message from the conclave, probably after reaching a certain player level DLC 3: city of suffering In the Triglav subsector in the Malcorum system is a space station called Myrkon, do its mission. Use a crusader with the turret armor skill (maybe a tech adept with lots of summons will work as well). Try to keep moving and let the turret and soldiers do most of the kills. Your aim is to destroy the pain catalyst as fast as possible after it spawns. Keep and eye on the map to notice it spawning and go there immediately, ignoring everything else. Within a few attempts you should get the 1500 points. The grind for destroying 100 pain catalysts is just a matter of repeating this mission until you've destroyed enough of them. You can do about 13-14 per attempt. DLC 4: khorne Simply complete the story line, this should also give enough khorne kills. If not, play the story line again with another character or do a mission with khorne enemies. I didn't pay proper attention to when this story line unlocks, but the captain of your ship will get a message from the conclave, probably after reaching a certain player level DLC 5: prophecy Simply complete this story line, making whatever morality choice you prefer. This story line unlocks after you complete the story line of the first dlc when using the crusader, psyker or assassin. Starting as a tech adept starts you off on this story line, take your pick. You do have to play this story line for a bit as the tech adept to get the trophy for discovering the Martyr as the tech adept. Create a new character: tech adept - The kastelan robot is unlocked upon reached level 28. On your ship, go to the 'construct setup' (between thorn and your storage), here you can change the constructs, make one a kastelan (you can't have more) and play missions with it, preferably without summoning any other construct or killing enemies yourself. - Resummoning a construct destroys constructs, this is not allowed when aiming for clearing missions without any construct lost. You can also use your weapon and never summon a construct in the first place. Or only use a kastelan since it has a high durability. de_digibeet
Found some more stuff that was changed, edited my original post to add it. I also added a note about roughly when these changes were implemented in the game. I am also going to provide Dreggit with an organized text, need to set that up properly though.
askoreik82
I'll just add a tip here: You can use the method described for "The Emperor's Wrath" trophy, on boss creatures as well. I found that the trophy tracking didn't quite follow the tracking of heroic deeds. Had two bosses killed according to the trophy tracker, but then got the reward for heroic deed. Farmed the mission where you control the giant robot fighting the other giant robot (can't remember when that is) and got the trophy. It's a relatively short and easy mission. HealedFiend13
Some real quick things to add onto this. You can just not summon constructs at all and finish the mission with just your guns in order for it to count as a mission without a construct dying for the Tech Adept. Also the Kastelan is at lvl 28, and not lvl 30. For the City of Suffering, it is in the Malcorum System instead of the Clamoris system, cause the other one was the Chaos kill trial. Thank you, kinda stupid of me to mix up those two space stations ... It's fixed now :). Also changed the player level at which the Kastelan unlocks and added the 'just don't use constructs at all' option.
HealedFiend13
Some other things I noticed while doing the trophies for the game. You start with 0% execution chance at base for the Assassin and Crusader, so you either have to have on a piece of gear that boosts the % chance, or gain the chance from the execution skill tree unlocked after getting 5k melee kills. Also, I confirmed that you do get the trophy for the making/joining a cabal when you join someone else's. Also also, if you have bonus fate points leftover after the tech tree stuff, doing the 3 cabal missions for the week in a cabal, disbanding said cabal, and then making a new one for 100 fate will give you another 3 missions for that same week. If you need fate for any of this, leveling up your influence in the different systems is a great way to earn some that you actually get to keep (since you don't get to keep the ones from selling the items over and over to get to 5k). You can also invite a friend to a cabal, and as long as the both of you make at least one point of contribution during the cabal quest, it will count for the both of you. Hopefully this helps some people out.
NoMoreUpdates
A mini-guide for grinding out Fate at the end of the game provided you didn't earn enough from the story missions. This will still not be enough for the 5000 needed, but this can help you unlock the 10 Nodes in the Tech Tree if you haven't done that yet. Note: This should only be done once you play through the campaign and DLC stories since you'll earn Fate from those as well. How to Gain Influence (the fastest): *********************************************************** 1) Select a any mission in the System you are earning Influence 2) Press TOUCHPAD to bring up the Uther's Tarot Card section 3) Choose the following 3 cards (these are their names): a ) The Pure b ) Martyrdom c ) Onslaught, Superstition, or Momentum 4) Complete the mission and you will receive min 47 fate for each mission How to Check Influence: ************************ 1) From the Command Bridge or from Star-Map press L2 2) From the Overview, highlight a System and press Triangle for System Info Systems you need to prioritize and how much Fate you will receive ****************************************************************** Tenebra Subsector: Chernobog System - 100 Influence (50 Fate earned) Aethon System - 800 Influence (320 Fate earned) Dagnor System - 100 Influence (50 Fate earned) Lacaon System - 100 Influence (50 Fate earned) Atroxia Subsector: Ultima Thule System - 400 Influence (200 Fate earned) Gereon System - 800 Influence (400 Fate earned) That should be enough with how much you've also earned from the Story completions, however, if you still need more then do the following System as well. Triglav Subsector: Aureus System - 800 Influence (370 Fate earned) Edited April 20, 2022 by NoMoreUpdates Fixed some info.
steel6burgh
so after starting the campaign the 2nd time and working toward the 10 missions on the highest difficulty I came to the realization it probably isn't necessary to play the campaign twice. Could you not just dashboard out of the game after you make the choices that lead to the trophies and then make the opposite choice upon reloading back in? One decision doesn't effect the other I don't believe. I'm not really sure but it may be worth a try for people playing the game. No need playing this a 2nd time if it works because the game is so repetitive as is. Edit: never mind it doesn't work that way. you gotta play it twice. BeautifulTorment
Just a quick note for those starting in co-op. Grenade kills do not count in co-op, same goes for explosive canisters blown up. Neither count in co-op.

This person has been busy so it's stalled there. I'm not too good at prodding people into action, nor do I want to be overbearing. There also is an issue with updating the guide due to me not having proper specific info like: the (dlc) mission or game type (void crusade for example) unlocks at player level x or after story mission y. Stating: 'it'll unlock in due time', doesn't count for a proper guide. Which is in part why I didn't try in the first place to get the guide updated but wrote this forum topic and also why a dlc guide won't be coming from me. Even though it's not that important when exactly a dlc mission/story line becomes available. It'll all become available long before you're done with the platinum anyway. Until the guide gets updated keep both this topic and the guide open, check here to see the differences. And have fun :).

The game asks you to make choices that are trophy related. One play through make all radical choices and the other make all puritan choices and you can't mess up. nothing else is missable. the 25 side missions is one of the worst parts because they don't spawn very often it's bad RNG but if you just don't worry about them and save it for last they spawn in the dlc missions and the priority assignments as well so you will get them if you finish the entire game including dlc 1st without putting forth any effort. To get the 5000 fate you can sell your legendary relic items for 3 fate and buy them back over and over. Always make sure to buy your items back prior to leaving shop. I sold 4 at a time and emptied out my inventory of everything else prior to selling the stuff so it was much easier to navigate the menu. Also keep in mind the shop reset timer. If it resets while the items you sold her are in her inventory you will loose them. Asides from these things to look out for there is nothing else that really requires a guide. There was a trophy that was in tricky the last dlc for killing everything with you turrets and nothing else. The trophy wouldn't pop for me at first. Make sure to take off anything you have on that has a chance to reflect and also I think if your turrets trigger a mine explosion that damages the enemy it negates the trophy as well. This trophy is easiest on the 1st mission of the dlc. If you fail just keep creating a new character and trying over and over until you get it the mission takes about 3 minutes to complete.

Thanks 4 this. How is the difficulty for this game? I would prefer to play it in co op so I will probably put up a session for it when I'm ready to start but in case I can't find any1 just wanting to know if it's doable solo. It's not at all difficult, doing the entire game in co-op isn't possible anyway if I remember correctly. Void missions and story missions have to be done alone, if memory serves that is... I did everything solo except the co-op trophy and I was totally fine. And I consider myself a below average gamer, skill wise. It takes a long while as well, for doing everything in co-op you'd better find a partner that's also going to the entire game and will be playing all the time together with you. Just the co-op trophy part already takes about 4 hours. Everything in total more like 90-100 hours, at least for me.

It is completely doable solo. Keep in mind if you do the co-op missions in local then you gotta move both players around the entire map so it may be best to do with two consoles so that you can clear the map on your own without worrying about the other player/account. I'd say if you can find someone high level to run 50 low level missions with it would take about 3 hours but it's all doable solo with two consoles or couch co-op. Couch co-op taking the longer and most effort on your part. When you do the revives you wanna pick a slightly mid to high level mission because the couch co-op seems to scale with you and he won't die easily on the easier missions. I did those on my own couch co-op not sure if a low level second account would scale with you or not. If you have any issues feel free to ask. Like I say the game isn't the best fun and is very repetitive maybe more so than any other game I've played. Edit: one note to add even if you did the entire game with someone you would end up with 150 to 200 co-op missions at least but you would still fall way short on revives because you just don't die that often and many times when you do it's not possible to revive you because if you go down chances are it's too hectic to revive at that moment. so you will probably end up boosting them anyway. Seems to be a rare occurrence but sometimes the counter will get stuck and not increase. It took my buddy probably around 75 priority assignments for the 5 he needed to count. Best we could determine is to "just keep playing them". It is also solo-only. The 1,000 grenade kills and the 250 explosive barrels are also solo-only so those should also be corrected. Thanks for updating the guide!!!
