Well done. Alan Wake and the Rare Collection are the only games I'd be interested in if I'd have an X1. Seeing as I've played all of that already, I still have not bought an X1, I also don't see that changing soon now that I have a Switch, which probably has the best Rare games on it within a year or two. I'll have to live with not playing Jet Force Gemini again, sadly.

Cheers mate. Wanted to play it on the 360 but never bought the console. Lucky it came with the Xbox One.

Not that I've ever played any Rare games but that collection definitely seems pretty cool. Yeah there's not much in the way of good exclusives on the Xbox and when you've already got a Switch with you want then no point getting one.

The collection is worth it just for Conker's Bad Fur Day and Jet Force Gemini. Both great games, both will not be getting the franchises they deserve because Microsoft bought Rare and the studio is now without devs who actually know how to make a fun game, while the copyrights sit there underneath a layer of dust.

I played Alan Wake on the X360, awesome game, like you've stepped into a Stephen King novel.

  • 2 weeks later...

I can't remember what I bought for the PS2/PS1 since I had a lot of games for those; but for the PS3 I think it was Lair. That little old thing.

I remember quite liking it but when I went back to try it out after the patched in joystick support the frame rate was just brutal. Def. a game that fell to it's own ambition.

For the PS4 it was Bloodborne, one of my favorite games period.

Not sure if all of these are accurate, I can't remember all of the very first games I've gotten for consoles over the years. I'll just add question marks to the ones I'm unsure about. And there's been plenty of times where I've gotten more than one game for it when purchasing the console itself, so I'll just list the game I remember playing first.

PS1: Spyro the Dragon

PS2: Silent Hill 2(?)

PS3: LittleBigPlanet

PS4: Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

PSP: Never owned one, but if it counts, the first PSP game I played via the Vita was Persona 3

Vita: Persona 4

Other consoles:

N64: Super Mario 64

Gameboy Color: Pokemon Yellow

GameCube: Luigi's Mansion

GBA: Super Mario Advance(?)

Xbox 360: Viva Pinata

Wii: Rayman Raving Rabbids (unfortunately)

DS: Pokemon Dash

3DS: Nintendogs + Cats: Golden Retriever & New Friends

Wii U: ZombiU

Xbox One: Ryse (also unfortunately)

Trying to remember this for the older consoles is going to be hard...

PS2 - ???

PS3 - Okami HD

PS4 - Watch Dogs

PSP - Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA

PSVita - Tearaway

Other consoles:

DS - Pokemon Diamond
3DS - Pokemon X & Y
Gamecube - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Wii - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Wii U - Xenoblade Chronicles X
XboxOne - Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Project DIVA was a gift, the first PSP game I bought myself was Bleach: Heat the Soul 7 because I was watching the anime with a friend at the time.

Okami HD was my first game for PS3, but since it's digital my first physical would be Metal Gear Rising Revengeance.

For my PS2 I honestly cannot remember if it was Okami, Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly, or Disney's Stitch: Experiment 626... or possibly even Whiplash, but I'm doubting it now...

I wasn't sure about adding the Xbox as the only reason I have that is because my friend bought it for me to play the Halo series with me. xD

PS1: Bought Gran Turismo with money I got for my birthday. I don't remember much from playing the game, just that Ash became my favorite band for the rest of the year and I was so bad that I didn't even make it past the final B license test.

PS2: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Bought this one with Christmas money. I remember I still hadn't finished it as the following Christmas approached and I finally completed the story a year to the day on Boxing Day.

PS3: Grand Theft Auto V/Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. I'll never understand why I opted to play GTA ahead of Metal Gear after successfully avoiding spoilers for several years.

PS4: Fallout 4. Which will hopefully be platinumed within 24 hours of this post :P

Other systems. Sim City 3000 was the first game I bought on PC after scraping together pocket money while GTAIV was the first game I bought on 360. Other systems like SNES and Mega Drive the games were bought for me since I didn't start getting pocket money until about 1998.
