(Next season is referred to as "Season Symphony 1" rather than "Season 7")While things will remain free for us "Founding Players" for an unknown amount of time, the game's monetary system is going to function a lot like Fortnite. This includes a paid fame pass, tier skips, a brand new shop design (basically a near-replica of the Fortnite shop), and a new paid currency known as Primos. (The bundles are the same quantity + price as Vbucks; Kudos packs and DLC/costume bundles will become fully in-game purchases that cost Primos instead of real-world money) It's very likely that the real reason for this new launcher is to sneak in new API functions and Post-F2P code in for testing purposes in prep for F2P launch, and the OG launcher's API will break when the full transition happens. There's also a chance that Devolver Digital still gets some type of pay for the OG launcher's sales and this separate SKU allows them to cut off connections with them entirely (They're not going out of their way to do this with the Steam version because it's basically confirmed that it's getting delisted in favor of releasing on Epic Games Store, and Primos purchases in the Steam version will go to the Microsoft Store... ??? idk it's like that for the Steam and Mobile versions) There is also going to be PS5, Xbox One, Series X|S, Switch, and Mobile versions launching alongside next season as well. I see a lot of trophy completionists bitching about this game because they can't get 100% completion or close to 100% completion. I never saw myself as a 100% completionist, and even if I tried to be, I couldn't see myself grinding endlessly in games like Uncharted 3, where I start questioning why I'm even hunting trophies in the first place. Like I said in my other post, I hate to sound like a dick, but this is what happens sometimes when shit behind the scenes occurs in online focused games. You have to accept the bullshit and the crap that is fed to you towards updates and patch files. That's why I decided to quit Runescape and World of Warcraft for good because I was practically forced to accept the bullshit, because without the recent update files you cannot play these online only games. All that work you put towards in a game could of been for nothing because some asshole developer decided to nerf that piece of content you enjoyed playing so much. Having some online here and there is nice and it is indeed fun to play online with your friends and so forth. I highly prefer single player games, because unlike multiplayer only games, single player for the most part doesn't suddenly change because some piece of content needed buffing or nerfing.
