Completionist help

So I was playing Extinction last night solo and I was wondering why the challenges felt impossible most the time.

-Complete the round without getting damaged

-Kill [Number] of enemies with traps/shotguns/snipers

Those two stood out because, you'd only be able to do these near certain drill spots.

Is there a direct stratergy for this or is it a random challenge system?

Challenges are randomized when you're playing this solo or with other players. I played it first on solo and I completed every challenge they gave me such as killing w/ traps, scorpion melee, shotguns, in the air, prone, etc. However, I died on the very last hive since I didn't drop more ammo for myself.. I did not get the challenge where you have to use a sniper but it is possible to complete that challenge by skill (solo).

It's best to have at least 3 players instead of 4 because the more players you have, the more aggressive the challenges get in each hive. (I obtained it by playing it this way)

My Tip:

Don't rush drilling each hive: Take your time searching for trash or containers around the area so you can collect money, ammo, launchers, flares, semtex grenades, and even weapon attachments.

Make sure each players know what skills they're going to max out: Microphone will be so much easier to handle this. For me; I was in charge of maxing out ammo, sentry gun, and feral instinct (booster). (For ammunition make sure at least 2 people are in charge.)

Overall, this trophy is not as hard as it may seem. You just need the skills and know how/when to spend your money/maxing out skills.  I hope this helped!

Cannot express how important talking is. Communication is a big part to being able to get through it, so do not start up until everyone has a mic.

Like he said, before you start, map out how people are going to spend their points per hive (rough estimate).

The toughest challenge however will be accuracy in the third area if you get it (I believe it is 50%?) I honestly have not picked the game up since I completed it, but i do believe that when I played extinction our team set up was:

Two Weapon Specialists

One Medic

One Mechanic

Pistol: M9A1 (Max out if you are a WS)

We all had turrets and maxed those out either first or second so you can get two. The drone packs a punch, but you don't get two of them unfortunately. Make sure to also have someone max out an armor piercing ammo and incendiary/explosive ammo drop as well as someone who maxes out feral instincts (helpful for last area/killing the leper).

WS should max out their main perk for the huge spike in damage. They also should be the ones doing the gun challenges as they can carry two primary guns.

Mechanic should also max out for the money/trap benefits.

Medic should at get two of his perks.

The the best I can remember as to what we focused on. It got us into the top 1,000 so I think it should work  Just be methodical, work together, and you should be able complete all of the challenges.

This one seems pretty intense, but might be better to do by yourself or with people you definitely have communicated with

I should've been playing extinction earlier, this mode is fairly fun and addicting starting out so far.  Can't believe how many times I've played probably 15-20 in my ghosts time and never gotten to the end.  Just did not a few minutes ago, and did it with 3 other rando's and we just did by a hair with 1:34 on the clock.  Probably played 6 or 7 extinctions tonight aswell.  Definitely not a gimme.

If I wasn't a medic, there's no way I make it there...

It gets easier as you rank up and get used to having a bigger arsenal. I almost never run less than two relics on Point of Contact now. I wish I would've started playing now as opposed to playing it close to release. IW added teeth and the upgrade system after my team finished the first two dlc's and then changed it to where you could earn teeth faster as we were about to finish the third dlc. As it is now, new people can start and earn upgrades in a couple of matches that took me weeks of scraping by to earn.

Anyhow, congrats on your first escape. The completionist gets easier the more you attempt it. However, there's always one or two challenges thrown in to mess with you. The leper and any number of "glitchy" challenges are the usual suspects.
