Trophies for both people playing in Co-op?

My GF and I played through the first area, and both acquired over 17,000 bricks, however the trophy only popped for me. Are trophies not available for both players when playing co-op?

I haven't had a chance to play this one yet but the previous games only awarded certain trophies (usually story trophies) for the second player.

Would love to know the answer to this. I remember the LEGO Harry Potter games would pop the misc. trophies if player 2 also met the requirements for them, but everything else went to player 1

This is mostly how it has been with every one of their games unfortunately.  My wife and I play them and have to play through everything twice in order for us both to platinum.

It's crazy they're seemingly never going to implement co-op trophies for a franchise that's built around co-op play.

Isn’t it just couch coop therefor making it just one account is playing?

She is logged in to her account. When you log in you select your own account. For example, It takes Two, A Way Out and Sackboy all popped for both of us when we ran through them.

Is this a problem for local co-op only, or is it online as well?
